00:00:00
The barbarians are no longer at the
00:00:01
gate. They are now inside.
00:00:03
>> So you're calling Czech Nuger a
00:00:04
barbarian? Well, given he's here, let me
00:00:06
bring him in.
00:00:07
>> There are barbarians inside the gate.
00:00:09
And that's Randy Fine. Randy Fine is a
00:00:11
sick terrorist sympathizer.
00:00:13
>> You want him deported. Is that right? I
00:00:15
do. And look, I think Mami lied in his
00:00:18
naturalization application.
00:00:19
>> He's a dirty Muslim and you should hate
00:00:21
him for supporting Muslim. And that's
00:00:23
what almost all of the Israeli
00:00:24
supporters are doing.
00:00:25
>> Dude, just come out and condemn Hamas.
00:00:28
It's not that hard.
00:00:30
>> These anti-semitic attacks that is so
00:00:32
permeating on CNN and this is so
00:00:34
ridiculous. Somebody criticizing you
00:00:36
personally is not an anti-Semitic
00:00:38
attack. If somebody says that you are
00:00:40
lying, that is not an attack on Jews.
00:00:41
That is an attack on you.
00:00:42
>> Piers, I'm going to be done with this.
00:00:44
If you're going to allow racist and
00:00:45
bigot attacks against one of your
00:00:47
commentators,
00:00:49
>> Zaram Mandani says that Islamophobia is
00:00:52
endemic in the United States and his
00:00:54
opponents have given him ample reason to
00:00:56
make that case. A New York congresswoman
00:00:59
called him the jihadist candidate for
00:01:01
mayor. Republican Randy Fine is trying
00:01:04
to have him deported. Mandani's main
00:01:06
opponent, Andrew Cuomo, has called him a
00:01:09
terrorist sympathizer and was widely
00:01:11
criticized for saying this in a recent
00:01:13
interview.
00:01:15
>> Whose lives are at stake? God forbid
00:01:17
another 911. Can you imagine Mandami in
00:01:20
the seat?
00:01:22
>> Yeah, I could. He He'd be cheering.
00:01:25
[laughter]
00:01:26
Well, there's another problem.
00:01:31
>> For his part, Maani has not always
00:01:33
struck the right tone on issues of race
00:01:35
and faith. He previously compared the
00:01:37
NYPD to the Israeli Defense Forces, for
00:01:40
example, and he fought back crocodile
00:01:42
tears while talking about some of the
00:01:43
real victims of 9/11.
00:01:46
>> I want to use this moment to speak to
00:01:47
the Muslims of New York City.
00:01:53
[clears throat]
00:01:56
I want to speak to the memory of my aunt
00:02:04
who stopped taking the subway after
00:02:07
September 11th because she did not feel
00:02:08
safe in her hijab.
00:02:12
Well, Ma Donnie has now clarified those
00:02:14
remarks, but only to say it wasn't his
00:02:16
aunt, but his father's cousin. All of
00:02:18
this has become a matter of national
00:02:19
debate for several reasons. Firstly, the
00:02:22
competing accusations of Islamophobia
00:02:24
and anti-semitism have underpinned
00:02:26
basically everything since October the
00:02:28
7th. Second, if Mandani wins in New
00:02:31
York, many think the Democrats will
00:02:33
follow his socialist lead. And finally,
00:02:35
it comes at a time of hand ringing and
00:02:38
soulsearching over ICE raids,
00:02:40
anti-immigrant rhetoric, and the
00:02:42
question of what it means to be an
00:02:43
American. Is Mandani the embodiment of
00:02:46
this great colorblind meritocracy? Or as
00:02:48
Randy Fine puts it, part of the
00:02:50
invasion? Well, joining me to debate all
00:02:53
of this is the host of Keeping It Real,
00:02:55
Jillian Michaels, the former deputy
00:02:57
press secretary and host of the Katie
00:02:58
Miller podcast, Katie Miller, the
00:03:00
founder and CEO of the Young Turks, Chen
00:03:03
Yuga, and the Palestinian
00:03:05
American journalist, Omar Batter. Well,
00:03:08
welcome to all of you. Um, Jillian, let
00:03:10
me start with you. Welcome back to
00:03:12
Uncensored. You know, I thought it'd be
00:03:13
helpful probably to start the debate
00:03:15
about Mandani by reminding us all of
00:03:19
some of the more inflammatory things
00:03:20
that he said on his record. Um, in June
00:03:24
2020, he wrote on X, "We don't need an
00:03:26
investigation to know that the NYPD is
00:03:29
racist, anti-quer, and a major threat to
00:03:32
public safety. What we need is to
00:03:34
hashtag defund the NYPD." In 2023, he
00:03:38
linked the NYPD to the IDF in a
00:03:41
Democratic Socialist of America panel
00:03:43
panel discussion, saying, "I think that
00:03:45
for anyone to care about these issues,
00:03:47
we have to make them hyper local. We
00:03:49
have to make it clear that when the boot
00:03:51
of the NYPD is on your neck, it's been
00:03:54
laced by the IDF." In June, he declined
00:03:57
to condemn the phrase globalizard,
00:04:00
instead saying that's not language I
00:04:02
use, and he would discourage the use of
00:04:04
it. In September, when asked if he
00:04:06
agreed with the Israeli prime minister
00:04:07
stance that Hamas is a terrorist group
00:04:09
that needs to be destroyed, Mamani said,
00:04:11
"I'm not going to echo the words of
00:04:13
Benjamin Netanyahu." Um, when you take
00:04:16
it in totality, I can see why uh people
00:04:19
have got exercised about this, albeit
00:04:22
with the last two, you know, a failure
00:04:24
to do something is not quite the same as
00:04:26
endorsing it and we should be uh not
00:04:28
that should be recorded. But what what
00:04:30
is your view about Mandani?
00:04:35
>> Well, the one thing that I would hope
00:04:37
people stop doing is pointing out that
00:04:40
he's Muslim because honestly, who cares.
00:04:42
What does that have to do with anything
00:04:44
regarding his policies and how he will
00:04:47
run New York City? So, that should be
00:04:50
called out from the get. It's wrong.
00:04:52
Nobody should do it. Simultaneously,
00:04:54
yes, a lot of the things you said are
00:04:57
alarming to me. I do wish like dude just
00:05:00
come out and condemn Hamas. It's not
00:05:03
that hard. It's it's very common sense
00:05:06
in my opinion. What's alarming to me
00:05:08
about M Donnie are his policies. And if
00:05:11
we're going to talk about that, I feel
00:05:13
like I can pontificate on it. But with
00:05:17
regard to him being Muslim, I go back to
00:05:19
again, who cares? And people should stop
00:05:21
calling that out. It's wrong.
00:05:25
But I guess it's relevant if he is
00:05:28
saying that Islamophobia is endemic in
00:05:31
the United States. I mean, do you
00:05:32
believe that it is endemic in the United
00:05:34
States? A hatred of people for their
00:05:36
Muslim faith.
00:05:39
>> I don't think it's endemic in the United
00:05:41
States, but it does exist. Racism
00:05:43
exists. Sexism exists. I don't think
00:05:46
it's endemic. And I think that kind of
00:05:49
fear-mongering, rage baiting is
00:05:52
literally tearing us apart. which is why
00:05:55
I want to see it stop when it comes to
00:05:57
his religion as well. So listen, he said
00:06:01
a lot of things that I don't like. This
00:06:03
is America. He's allowed to say those
00:06:04
things. What I again I go back to what I
00:06:08
wish people would attack him on
00:06:09
specifically are his policies because
00:06:11
that's where I believe he has
00:06:14
exceptional vulnerability. Like if you
00:06:16
don't like the things that he's saying
00:06:19
about Gaza or Hamas or the Jews, don't
00:06:22
double down by saying those things about
00:06:24
him being Muslim. That that's my Jews.
00:06:27
We should just be clear about the fact
00:06:28
that he's never said anything about the
00:06:30
Jews. That's a way that it's just a
00:06:32
phrase that gets imposed on him because
00:06:33
people can't find anything
00:06:35
>> to condemn. Yeah. But that's not saying
00:06:37
anything about the Jews. Whatever his
00:06:38
views are on Hamas, that's a completely
00:06:40
different conversation. We should just
00:06:41
use words carefully and and to be like
00:06:44
if we're going to have a constructive
00:06:46
discourse, it's important not to put
00:06:47
words in other people's mouths. So
00:06:48
anytime you hear Mamani and you hear the
00:06:50
phrase the Jews followed by it, that's
00:06:52
typically a smear because Mdani has
00:06:54
never expressed any views that are
00:06:55
anti-Semitic. If his political views
00:06:56
about Israel and Palestine are
00:06:58
problematic, let's debate the merits of
00:07:00
those without suggesting that he's
00:07:01
saying something about the Jews when he
00:07:02
never did.
00:07:04
>> Oh, okay. What?
00:07:05
>> I think that's fair enough. But
00:07:08
>> okay,
00:07:09
>> I was going to say he has a rap song
00:07:10
where he celebrates the Holy Land five
00:07:13
>> who, you know, have gone to jail for
00:07:15
sending millions of dollars to Hamas.
00:07:17
How do you think that would make a
00:07:18
Jewish person feel? Probably not great.
00:07:21
>> Not great, Jillian.
00:07:24
>> I've never heard of that song. Israel
00:07:25
slaughters. Hold on. Hold on. I mean,
00:07:28
slaughters our children over and over
00:07:30
and over again. And all we do is all we
00:07:33
And and Piers, this is really important.
00:07:35
It's not that the American people are
00:07:36
Islamophobic. It's that American media,
00:07:39
mainstream media and all is almost all
00:07:42
the Israeli supporters are the most
00:07:44
bigoted racist people in the country.
00:07:47
They despise Muslims. All they do is
00:07:49
smear Muslims 24/7 while pretending that
00:07:52
they're concerned about bigotry, but
00:07:54
only when it affects their beloved
00:07:57
Israel. So they're like, "Oh my god, I'm
00:07:59
so concerned about anti-semitism. Oh,
00:08:02
you said something slightly true,
00:08:03
actually very true about Israel, but it
00:08:05
hurt my feelings. YOU'RE AN ANTI-SEMITE.
00:08:07
Firearm castle, etc. This is all
00:08:09
thuggery. There's a bunch of pro-Israeli
00:08:12
forces inside America. They've taken
00:08:14
over our Congress. They've taken over
00:08:16
mainstream media. And not only do they
00:08:18
try to smear, cancel, fire, and arrest
00:08:21
anyone who criticizes Israel. But on top
00:08:23
of that, they now demand that you be
00:08:25
racist and bigoted against Muslims. And
00:08:28
and it's so hilarious to hit with your
00:08:30
words >> because mom Donnie hold on let me finish
00:08:32
hold on let me finish let me finish let
00:08:33
me finish let me finish let me finish so
00:08:37
let me finish so now they go okay even
00:08:41
though Manny has never said anything
00:08:43
anti-semitic nothing against Jews and
00:08:44
even though the majority of Jews
00:08:47
according to polling are supporting mom
00:08:48
Donnie 67% of younger Jewish Americans
00:08:51
in New York that's under 45 are
00:08:53
supporting mom Donnie we're going to lie
00:08:56
anyway and we're going to say, "You know
00:08:58
what? He's a dirty Muslim and you should
00:09:00
hate him for supporting Muslims." And
00:09:02
that's what almost all of the Israeli
00:09:04
supporters are doing. Almost all of
00:09:05
mainstream media and that sick,
00:09:07
disgusting Andrew Cuomo, who's as
00:09:10
bigoted as it gets.

00:10:00
>> All right, go ahead.
00:10:03
>> Why is it that every time someone wants
00:10:05
to criticize Mammi, it immediately comes
00:10:07
back to the Jews and the anti-Israel
00:10:09
movement instead of actually talking
00:10:10
about his viewpoints, which is that
00:10:12
>> nobody said Jews.
00:10:14
>> You just said it. You always do that. We
00:10:16
say Israel, you say Jews. We say Israel
00:10:19
is a government. Please don't make it
00:10:21
about Jewish Americans. And you come
00:10:23
back, YOU HAVE TO MAKE IT ABOUT JEWISH
00:10:24
AMERICANS. WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU? WHAT'S
00:10:27
WRONG WITH YOU? >> Is Israel a Jewish state? Yes or no?
00:10:29
>> First of all,
00:10:30
>> okay, so is a Muslim state and you can
00:10:33
criticize it all day long. All day long.
00:10:35
I don't THERE'S NO SPECIAL PROTECTION
00:10:37
>> BECAUSE WHAT YOU'RE DOING IS you're
00:10:38
decoding language that calls a Jewish
00:10:41
STATE OR A MUSLIM saying that we should
00:10:43
not be here and we should not be in
00:10:44
existence and that you would be happy
00:10:46
for other people like I want Israel to
00:10:48
be safe.
00:10:50
You're totally lying
00:10:53
normal for a miller to be completely and
00:10:55
utterly lying. That's not true. We want
00:10:57
Israel to be a safe haven for Jews 1967
00:11:01
borders. But you GUYS SAY NO MORE
00:11:03
PALESTINIAN LAND. TAKE THE WEST BANK.
00:11:06
TAKE SOUTHERN LEBANON. YOUR GREED knows
00:11:08
no bounds. And by the way, YOU AND YOUR
00:11:10
HUSBAND ARE SUPPOSED TO BE WORKING FOR
00:11:11
AMERICA. Not for Israel. I think you're
00:11:15
betraying this country.
00:11:16
>> All right. Check. Let Katie Pierce
00:11:20
on a quick note.
00:11:21
>> Omar. Omar. Omar. Omar. I'll come to
00:11:23
you. But let Katie finish her point.
00:11:25
Then I'll come to you.
00:11:27
>> Katie. >> No. Pierce. Quite frankly, I'm really
00:11:28
sick and tired of this racist bigoted
00:11:30
rhetoric that can comes from people like
00:11:32
you against my husband, against my
00:11:34
family, and my children. I am raising
00:11:36
Jewish children in this country to this.
00:11:40
>> What a weirdo.
00:11:42
>> Piers, I'm going to be done with this if
00:11:44
you're going to allow racist and bigot
00:11:46
attacks against one of your commentators
00:11:48
just for the sake that he will not
00:11:50
speak. >> Casey, to be clear, Casey, to be clear,
00:11:53
>> comments, he inserted a line that says
00:11:54
THE MILLER LINE. IS THAT NOT CODED
00:11:56
LANGUAGE for therefore we are Jewish?
00:11:59
>> Come on, Beerus. Where are you? Where
00:12:01
are you standing?
00:12:02
>> GOD, YOU'RE SO IF I CAN SPEAK TO YOUR
00:12:07
FIREARM, I'M CANCELLED. I'm cancel
00:12:09
AMERICA. OH MY GOD. ISRAEL'S FEELINGS
00:12:11
HAVE BEEN HURT. WHY DON'T YOU WORK FOR
00:12:13
THIS COUNTRY THIS COUNTRY instead of Can
00:12:16
we try? All right. Can we play? All
00:12:18
right. Let's stop the ad homonym
00:12:19
attacks. Let's try and get this back to
00:12:21
a more civilized debate which is
00:12:23
actually about the likely incoming mayor
00:12:26
of New York. Katie, I was giving you the
00:12:28
chance to respond. If you want me to do
00:12:29
it for you, I'm happy to do that. But
00:12:31
normally in a panel discussion, if
00:12:33
someone makes,
00:12:36
>> you know,
00:12:37
>> I agree and you shouldn't be
00:12:38
interrupted. So
00:12:41
Katie, let let me just ask you separate.
00:12:44
Let's not get into ad hominemum stuff.
00:12:45
It's honestly I think the viewers are
00:12:47
sick of it. Let me just ask you. Let me
00:12:49
just ask you Katie, what what is your
00:12:51
fundamental opposition to Mandani?
00:12:54
Because my my view of Mandani is he is
00:12:57
he's very charismatic. He's a skillful
00:12:59
politician. He has reigned back on some
00:13:02
of the more inflammatory things. He
00:13:03
undeniably said the stuff he said about
00:13:05
the NYPD would be for some people
00:13:07
disqualifying frankly in a city like New
00:13:09
York, but he's managed to come through
00:13:10
that by reigning back on some of that
00:13:12
stuff. Um, and he is, as Czechugo
00:13:15
rightly points out, he has a remarkable
00:13:18
popularity with young Jewish New
00:13:21
Yorkers. I mean, it is remarkable that
00:13:23
for someone who people have branded
00:13:26
anti-semitic, a lot of Jewish New
00:13:28
Yorkers simply don't agree. They want to
00:13:30
vote for him. So, he is what he is. I
00:13:32
also think, as Jillian pointed out, that
00:13:34
a probably a more uh obvious stick to
00:13:37
beat him with politically are his views,
00:13:40
which are pretty socialist. And what is
00:13:42
fascinating about this politically
00:13:44
looking at the totality and potentially
00:13:46
a future general election is if you have
00:13:49
a progressive socialist like Mandani who
00:13:52
wins in New York is that the way the
00:13:54
Democratic party is now going to go and
00:13:57
does that have any chance of winning
00:13:59
against what would likely be another
00:14:01
MAGA candidate in 2028? So these are big
00:14:04
big picture issues that will come out of
00:14:06
a Mandani victory. But from your
00:14:08
perspective, Katie, what is your
00:14:10
fundamental opposition to Ma Donnie
00:14:13
becoming New York Mayor?
00:14:15
>> I want to start off with, do you agree
00:14:16
when your guest says that the Millers
00:14:18
always lie? Because that's what your
00:14:20
guest on your show just said is that the
00:14:21
Millers always lie. And so now I'll
00:14:23
continue into saying Montami, just as
00:14:25
you here, is a socialist. He is someone
00:14:28
who is going to drive New York to the
00:14:30
bottom. I'm excited for him to win
00:14:31
because he will prove to every other
00:14:33
single large city in our country that
00:14:36
what you will see is failure. What you
00:14:37
will see is high crime. What you will
00:14:39
see is murders. What you will see is a
00:14:41
is a prominent city in our country fall
00:14:43
into complete disrespair disrepair. And
00:14:45
you will see large amounts of capital
00:14:47
and tax dollars exit the city
00:14:49
immediately because what people are
00:14:50
voting for is their own downfall. When
00:14:52
you play into identity politics as he's
00:14:54
done, when you stand behind a podium and
00:14:56
your first comment is, "Oh my gosh, my
00:14:58
my aunt on the train instead of talking
00:15:00
about all those who lost their lives on
00:15:02
911," then you're doing something wrong,
00:15:04
Piers. But I will sit here and say that
00:15:07
for for the reasons in which he is wrong
00:15:09
and which he will drive New York into
00:15:11
failure is again the same reason why
00:15:14
people on your show instead of arguing
00:15:16
the merits as you say of his opinions
00:15:18
they're going to sit here and use
00:15:20
attacks on my husband and myself instead
00:15:23
of debating us on our values and our
00:15:25
opinions it is gross it is racist and it
00:15:28
is bigoted and I will not join your show
00:15:30
again if you
00:15:31
>> your suck that's what I'm debating
00:15:34
>> this is so ridiculous yeah Well, well,
00:15:36
Katie, let me just make it clear.
00:15:38
>> No, no, no. Chank chank. Stay out of
00:15:41
this. Katie, let me just respond to
00:15:43
that. Katy, normally when someone makes
00:15:45
an ad hom attack on another panelist,
00:15:48
that panelist is on the receiving end,
00:15:50
gives it back, right? And you've chosen
00:15:52
instead, it seems to me, to to want me
00:15:54
to do that for you. I don't mind doing
00:15:56
that, right? But I it to me, you could
00:15:59
easily respond. were perfectly skilled
00:16:00
and capable enough to respond to what
00:16:02
Shank said about you and you've done
00:16:03
that and you've argued, you know, very
00:16:06
passionately why Mandani would be a New
00:16:08
York mayor. I'm not taking sides here. I
00:16:10
actually don't like any of the ad
00:16:12
hominemum attacks that come on the show.
00:16:14
But it's interesting to note that there
00:16:16
have been an increasing number of very
00:16:18
ad hominemum attacks on Mandani and a
00:16:21
lot of it has had a whiff of genuine
00:16:23
Islamophobia. And I don't think it means
00:16:25
that any of us have to endorse that or
00:16:27
anything to to actually accept that that
00:16:30
is what's been happening. And I see the
00:16:32
same thing happen with Jewish candidates
00:16:34
in American politics. I see a stench of
00:16:37
anti-semitism from certain quarters
00:16:39
towards Jewish candidates. But we
00:16:41
certainly see this with Mandali and it's
00:16:43
ugly and it's horrible and it shouldn't
00:16:46
be. >> Yeah, you are a guest on my show and I
00:16:48
appreciate you coming on the show and I
00:16:49
like you coming on my show. I think
00:16:51
you're able to are welcome to
00:16:53
participate in these anti-semitic
00:16:54
attacks that is so permeating on CNN and
00:16:56
XNC ridiculously
00:16:59
I'm sorry I have to jump in here.
00:17:01
Somebody criticizing you personally is
00:17:03
not an anti-Semitic attack. If somebody
00:17:05
says that you are lying, that is not an
00:17:07
attack on Jews, that is an attack on
00:17:08
you, and just stop hiding behind
00:17:10
identity. This is all the snowflake
00:17:12
behavior that the right is supposedly
00:17:13
criticizing the left for that you're
00:17:15
simply repeating here. Yes, Steven
00:17:17
Miller is a destructive force in
00:17:18
American society. That is not an attack
00:17:20
on Jews. That is no reference to his
00:17:21
identity. This is an attack on him
00:17:23
individually and just deal with the
00:17:24
merits of this case. And also, when it
00:17:26
comes to Mandani and all the stuff that
00:17:28
he said,
00:17:29
>> let's go there. whatever you want to
00:17:31
call him. That's you have to be clear
00:17:32
about the fact
00:17:33
>> bring us the Israeli state, right?
00:17:35
That's that's how we got here in the
00:17:36
first place. Let's rewind.
00:17:37
>> Manny and we should be clear about what
00:17:39
Manny said in relation to policing in
00:17:41
New York and Israel.
00:17:43
>> We should how we got here was Jillian
00:17:46
very very perfectly pointed out that we
00:17:48
should not use politics to get here and
00:17:50
immediately we went to the state of
00:17:52
Israel.
00:17:54
>> No, I'm sorry. The state of Israel is
00:17:56
not identity politics. that is a foreign
00:17:57
government that is engaged in genocide
00:17:58
and war crimes and we're allowed to
00:18:00
criticize that without you pulling
00:18:01
identity politics into this. It is
00:18:03
utterly unrelated. And Mamani, by the
00:18:05
way, he was not asked about 911 and just
00:18:07
randomly decided to drag his aunt into
00:18:09
this. He's talking about Islamophobia
00:18:11
specifically in a context in which he is
00:18:13
under relentless Islamophobic attacks,
00:18:16
including by Andrew Cuomo. And in that
00:18:18
context, he brought up the story of his
00:18:20
aunt and the fear that she felt living
00:18:21
in New York City. That is a legitimate
00:18:23
part of the conversation. and you
00:18:25
pretending and you pretending that this
00:18:27
was comments about him having
00:18:29
>> uh disregard for the real victims of 911
00:18:31
who were actually died on that day is
00:18:33
such
00:18:34
smearing against him and I'll say and
00:18:37
I'll say all the references that Manny
00:18:39
has made
00:18:41
and the IDF is simply pointing out
00:18:43
factually that there is collaboration
00:18:45
there. >> I go to New York a lot. I love New York
00:18:48
and there's no doubt to me that what he
00:18:50
has said on the record, Ma Dani, about
00:18:52
the NYPD is deeply offensive to a lot of
00:18:55
New Yorkers and there's no getting away
00:18:57
from that. You know, him saying that
00:18:59
about the NYPD, we have to make it clear
00:19:01
when the boot of the NYPD is on your
00:19:03
neck, it's been laced by the IDF. That
00:19:06
is a really insensitive
00:19:08
thing to say when he
00:19:09
>> that is a reference to that is a
00:19:11
reference to an actual program where New
00:19:14
York City police go to Israel on the
00:19:16
dime of the ADL or or in in
00:19:18
collaboration with programs through the
00:19:19
ADL so they can train with the Israeli
00:19:21
police and the Israeli military. An
00:19:23
apartheid repressive state should not be
00:19:25
training American police. And yes, some
00:19:27
of those brutal tactics do come back to
00:19:28
the United States and impact Americans.
00:19:30
So simply pointing a factual statement
00:19:32
about the fact that there is a pro
00:19:33
problematic program there of
00:19:35
collaboration I think is fair. I think
00:19:37
pointing out frankly it seems like a
00:19:39
statement that should not even be in in
00:19:41
dispute or question. I don't know what
00:19:42
the controversy is. Statistics in
00:19:44
America show consistently that brown
00:19:46
people and black people are stopped by
00:19:47
police more frequently. So saying that
00:19:49
there's a racism problem that's not an
00:19:51
indictment of policing altogether.
00:19:53
That's simply pointing out that there
00:19:54
are problems that need Okay, you're
00:19:57
never going to address these problems if
00:19:59
you're not if you're afraid to mention
00:20:00
them. >> Omar, Omar, Omar, Omar. He's not saying
00:20:03
that there is some racism. He said the
00:20:06
NYPD is racist, anti-quer, and a major
00:20:10
threat to public safety. What we need is
00:20:13
to hashdefund the NYPD. Those are his
00:20:17
words in June 2020. Now, he may want to
00:20:20
have a revisionist view of his own
00:20:22
words. He may have reigned back on some
00:20:24
of those words, but those words exist in
00:20:27
a post he made on social media. That was
00:20:29
his belief. He didn't just say some of
00:20:32
the NYPD were racist or homophobic or a
00:20:35
threat to public safety. He said the
00:20:37
NYPD itself in totality was. And again,
00:20:41
if you live in New York and you rely on
00:20:43
the NYPD to police your streets, or if
00:20:46
you work in the NYPD, that is an
00:20:48
incredibly insensitive and inflammatory
00:20:51
thing to say.
00:20:54
Let me get straight to the point. Gold
00:20:55
is up by around 40% this year. That's
00:20:57
not speculation. That's reality. And if
00:21:00
some of your savings aren't diversified
00:21:02
into gold, you're missing the boat.
00:21:04
Here's the facts. Inflation is still too
00:21:06
high. The US dollar is still too weak.
00:21:09
And the government's debt is
00:21:10
insurmountable. That's why central banks
00:21:12
are flocking to gold and driving prices
00:21:14
to record highs. It's not too late to
00:21:17
get involved. Burge Gold Group will help
00:21:18
you convert an existing IRA or a 401k
00:21:22
into a tax sheltered IRA in gold. You
00:21:25
don't pay a dime out of pocket. Just
00:21:27

00:21:34

00:21:35
The best indicator of the future is the
00:21:38
past and gold has been a safe haven for
00:21:40
millennia. What other investment can say
00:21:42
that? Text peers to 989898 to claim your
00:21:46

00:21:55
>> If you're not running for office
00:21:58
on social media, that's one thing.
00:22:01
>> No, I think sometimes your views are one
00:22:03
thing. I don't I don't I don't buy into
00:22:05
that, Omar. I don't Omar Omar, I don't
00:22:07
buy into that. I'm sorry. It shouldn't
00:22:09
make any difference.
00:22:10
>> You don't think that when you're running
00:22:11
for office, you get an opportunity to
00:22:12
phrase yourself more eloquently. That
00:22:14
doesn't count.
00:22:15
>> Hang on. No, hang on. No, sorry. I think
00:22:17
what counts is what you honestly believe
00:22:19
in any given moment. He clearly believed
00:22:22
that or he wouldn't have opposed it. The
00:22:24
idea that when you run for office,
00:22:25
suddenly you change all your opinions. I
00:22:28
don't buy that. I actually like to judge
00:22:30
politicians on what they have previously
00:22:32
said when they were civilians because
00:22:34
it's often more enlightening about what
00:22:36
they really think about things. And if I
00:22:38
was in the NYPD, I'd be very concerned
00:22:40
about Maani given what he said publicly
00:22:43
about the NYPD. And I don't think that's
00:22:45
intellectually dishonest. I think it's
00:22:47
assessing what Maani said in real time
00:22:50
as his honestly held belief about the
00:22:52
New York Police Department. So you there
00:22:54
are things that look, like I say, he's
00:22:56
charismatic. He's he's clearly uh very
00:23:00
popular uh notably amongst young Jews in
00:23:03
New York. I think that's really
00:23:04
interesting. He's likely to be the mayor
00:23:05
of New York City, but he thoroughly
00:23:07
deserves proper scrutiny of what his
00:23:09
views have been. And I think his views
00:23:11
about the NYPD are inflammatory and you
00:23:14
know, he's got to address that. Um I
00:23:16
just hold fire panel for a moment. I
00:23:18
want to bring in now a Florida uh
00:23:21
congressman uh Randy Fine. Randy Fine,
00:23:23
welcome to Uncensored. Um but what is
00:23:27
your view of Ma Dami? I think you want
00:23:28
him deported. Is that right?
00:23:31
>> I do. I look I think Mam Dami lied in
00:23:33
his naturalization application. He did
00:23:35
not share he was a member of DSA. He did
00:23:37
not share his his affiliation and his
00:23:39
love for the five Muslim terrorists and
00:23:42
I think that was dishonest and I don't
00:23:43
think he should be a citizen. I think
00:23:45
that needs to be investigated as we need
00:23:47
to do for many people who've come in
00:23:48
over the last 30 years. One of the most
00:23:50
fascinating things about this election
00:23:52
in New York is Mandani is losing
00:23:54
overwhelmingly among those who were born
00:23:56
in the United States. His only chance of
00:23:59
becoming mayor is because of those who
00:24:00
grew up with values other than being
00:24:03
American. And I think that's something
00:24:04
that should alarm everyone.
00:24:08
>> But the the way you phrase that, you
00:24:10
know, if I can pick you up on that,
00:24:13
>> you know, what do you mean? I mean,
00:24:14
these are you have to be born in America
00:24:17
to be an American. Is that your
00:24:18
position? No, but by the way, there's a
00:24:20
reason the framers of our Constitution
00:24:22
said that to be president of the United
00:24:24
States, you had to be born here. There
00:24:26
is something about growing up here,
00:24:27
going through your childhood, being
00:24:29
inculcated with American values,
00:24:31
becoming part of that melting pot that
00:24:33
made America great. When my family came
00:24:36
here over a hundred years ago, they came
00:24:38
here because they loved America, not
00:24:40
because they wanted to change it. They
00:24:41
wanted to become part of the American
00:24:43
social fabric. But what you see in New
00:24:45
York is people who have come here not to
00:24:48
become part of America but to change
00:24:50
America. And that is there's nothing
00:24:52
wrong with America. And there's nothing
00:24:54
that fundamentally needs to be changed.
00:24:56
This is the greatest country in the
00:24:58
history of the world. And we have too
00:24:59
many people coming here who do not
00:25:01
believe that. Starting with Mandami
00:25:03
himself.
00:25:06
>> You said yesterday that Shen Yuga, one
00:25:07
of our panelists today, is an invader.
00:25:10
What did you mean by that?
00:25:12
>> I think it's a great example. I I
00:25:13
actually talked in that post about
00:25:14
Mandami. I talked about Elon Omar. I
00:25:16
talked about about the the gentleman you
00:25:18
recognize. These are all wealthy
00:25:20
foreigners who move to the United States
00:25:22
and then constantly talk about how bad
00:25:25
it is. He made a post saying I should be
00:25:27
deported to Israel that I have dual
00:25:29
loyalty. My family's from America. I was
00:25:31
born here. My parents were born here.
00:25:34
Most of my grandparents were born here.
00:25:36
My relatives that came here over a
00:25:37
hundred years ago came because they were
00:25:39
desperate to be part of the greatest
00:25:41
country in the history of the world.
00:25:42
They did not come and then go on
00:25:44
constantly about how bad it is and about
00:25:46
how terrible it is and about how things
00:25:48
need to change. If folks want to come to
00:25:51
America, they should love it. They
00:25:53
should share its values and they should
00:25:55
want to add value immediately. And far
00:25:57
too many people who are coming do not
00:25:59
share those values. And I believe it is
00:26:01
a threat. The barbarians are no longer
00:26:03
at the gate. They are now inside.
00:26:06
>> Wow. So you're calling Cheng Yuger a
00:26:08
barbarian. Well, given he's here, let me
00:26:09
bring him into this. Chang, what is your
00:26:11
response to that?
00:26:12
>> Yeah, no, I don't mind because I I agree
00:26:15
uh that there are barbarians inside the
00:26:18
gate and that's Randy Fine. Randy Fine
00:26:20
is a sick terrorist sympathizer. Uh in
00:26:24
fact, if he he wants America to do
00:26:26
terrorism on Israel's behalf, he has
00:26:28
said we should nuke Gaza. That's killing
00:26:30
millions of innocent children uh and and
00:26:34
human beings and civilians. But he
00:26:35
doesn't care. He only cares about
00:26:36
Israeli lives. By the way, the Israelis
00:26:38
have murdered uh now nearly a dozen
00:26:41
Americans in the West Bank. No
00:26:42
accountability from our government. And
00:26:44
people like Randy Fine say we should
00:26:46
give We owe Israel. We owe Israel a
00:26:49
genocide. We owe Israel $300 billion. We
00:26:52
owe them no accountability at all when
00:26:56
they kill American citizens. They had a
00:26:58
pervert Israeli government official that
00:27:00
came here in Vegas and tried to rape our
00:27:02
children and we let him go. That's
00:27:04
insane. Randy, fine. Are you asking for
00:27:06
the sick Israeli government to return
00:27:08
the pedophile so he could face justice
00:27:11
here? No. Randy Fine represents Israel,
00:27:14
not America. Everybody knows that. He
00:27:15
also said we should starve all the
00:27:17
Gazins. So he's right. There's a
00:27:20
sickness inside our government. Apac and
00:27:22
the Israeli lobby have given to 90% of
00:27:25
Congress. They've given him a half a
00:27:27
million dollars and that was a giant
00:27:28
waste because he works for Israel
00:27:29
already. So Randy, we're all sick of
00:27:32
your terrorist sympathies towards
00:27:35
Israel. They have committed 75 October
00:27:38
7th. Their civilian kill ratio is 83%.
00:27:41
Worse than Hamas, worse than any
00:27:43
terrorist organization. They have
00:27:44
murdered 256 journalists, more than all
00:27:47
other conflicts combined. They murdered
00:27:49
104 people today, including 46 children.
00:27:52
They burned them alive. And we're sick
00:27:54
of Israeli terrorism. And we're sick of
00:27:56
people like you forcing good Americans.
00:27:59
I love this country. I didn't come here
00:28:02
to be a occupied territory of Israel. I
00:28:05
came here because I love America and the
00:28:07
freedom and the equality and the justice
00:28:09
that comes with it. If you think your
00:28:10
grandparents who came here were not
00:28:12
loyal to America, I you know that's your
00:28:14
business. But no, most of the people
00:28:16
that come here come because we
00:28:18
absolutely love this country and not
00:28:21
Israel. I go serve. Why don't you go to
00:28:23
the Knesset, brother? I everybody knows
00:28:25
you love Israel and you despise
00:28:27
Palestinians and you love Israeli
00:28:29
terrorists. So why don't you move to Tel
00:28:31
Aiv already?
00:28:33
>> Okay. All right, Jake. Let Randy fine
00:28:35
respond. Randy.
00:28:37
>> Well, thank you, Pearson. And thank you
00:28:38
for the surprise debate. I actually
00:28:39
enjoy that. Look, there's a concept in
00:28:41
Islam called tea where you're allowed to
00:28:43
lie in advance of your political views.
00:28:45
And you just got a great a great crash
00:28:47
course. A great crash course. All of
00:28:49
those things were nonsense. But what to
00:28:51
the notion that I am more loyal to
00:28:53
Israel than I am the United States is
00:28:55
part of it. Israel is fighting a war of
00:28:57
civilization on our behalf. The reason
00:29:00
we need a Jewish state of Israel is
00:29:02
because of the Muslims that surround it.
00:29:04
And so I stand with Israel because I
00:29:06
believe Israel is fighting the same
00:29:07
fight that we have here in the United
00:29:09
States. The same fight that people like
00:29:11
Mandami and Chen, wealthy Muslims who
00:29:14
move here in order to change the complex
00:29:17
and the nature of our country are going
00:29:18
to do it. And I won't apologize for
00:29:20
that. I am very proud of my views. I'm
00:29:22
very proud of my faith. I'm proud to be
00:29:23
the first member of Congress in the
00:29:25
history of the United States to wear a
00:29:27
yamaka, which you may be able to see on
00:29:29
my head. And I know that drives them
00:29:30
crazy because we're not supposed to do
00:29:32
that. But they gave me the nickname the
00:29:34
Hebrew hammer for a reason, and I'm not
00:29:36
going to be afraid to use it.
00:29:39
>> But Randy Fine, when you said I don't
00:29:41
give a Hang on, hang on. Hang on,
00:29:43
Shank. Hang on, Shank. Randy Fine, when
00:29:45
you said, "I don't give a about
00:29:47
Gazans,"
00:29:48
were you proud of that statement?
00:29:50
>> Well, I think the context there is Gaza
00:29:53
attacked Israel on October 7th, of the
00:29:56
thousands of people who streamed across
00:29:57
the border to kill every man, woman, and
00:30:00
child that they could, many of them,
00:30:03
thousands of them were not quote unquote
00:30:06
card carrying members of Hamas. And so
00:30:08
when you start a war and you are losing
00:30:11
the war, if you do not like what that is
00:30:13
doing to you, then you surrender in that
00:30:16
war. Gaza chose to be the enemy. Gaza
00:30:19
chose to attack Western civilization.
00:30:21
And no, I didn't care what happened. It
00:30:23
was my view that if they didn't like it,
00:30:25
they needed to surrender. Something by
00:30:28
the way they still haven't done because
00:30:30
yesterday the Gazins killed another IDF
00:30:33
soldier in a place that even under the
00:30:35
peace deal they are allowed
00:30:38
I don't
00:30:40
the Germans but Randy fine you I've not
00:30:43
I've not had actually any guest I have
00:30:45
to be honest here I've not had any guest
00:30:48
who has used the phrase gazins rather
00:30:51
than Hamas given it was specifically
00:30:54
Hamas that perpetrated the appalling
00:30:56
terror attacks on October the 7th. It is
00:30:59
a mass that has the governmental power
00:31:02
still in Gaza. It's not the It's not the
00:31:05
Gazan people. It's not the civilian
00:31:08
population. Why are you deliberately
00:31:10
conflating Gazans in totality with Hamas
00:31:14
when Hamas numbers may be 40 50,000
00:31:16
maximum out of 2 million.
00:31:19
>> Data brokers track everything you do

00:31:23

00:31:26
basically anyone who's willing to buy
00:31:28

00:32:09

00:32:11
That's expressvpn.com/pers.
00:32:16
>> Here's because because that is a
00:32:18
propaganda lie. I'll give you two
00:32:20
points. Number one, thousands of the
00:32:22
people who streamed across the border on
00:32:24
October 7th were not members of Hamas.
00:32:27
That has been wellestablished. Thousands
00:32:29
of people came across the border who
00:32:31
were so-called civilians. And second,
00:32:32
polling just came out today. polling
00:32:35
just came out today that said if an
00:32:37
election were held in Gaza today, Hamas
00:32:41
would win overwhelmingly. Does that now
00:32:44
does that mean every Gazin supports
00:32:46
Hamas? No, it does not. But to try to
00:32:49
differentiate the two attempts to imply
00:32:51
that some small percentage of Gazins
00:32:54
support or like Hamas. That is not what
00:32:57
the data suggests. And we should not
00:32:59
allow us to be say these two are
00:33:01
completely different Gazins and Hamas
00:33:03
because they are not.
00:33:04
>> All right. All right. So all right. So
00:33:06
Randy fine. So when for example uh the
00:33:09
United States along with my country, the
00:33:11
United Kingdom and others waged what
00:33:13
many believe to have been an illegal war
00:33:16
against Iraq in 2003 with the
00:33:19
catastrophic consequences of a million
00:33:21
deaths, the rise of ISIS and so on. I is
00:33:24
your position then that in that
00:33:26
circumstance every single civilian
00:33:29
American is equally culpable to the
00:33:33
military that waged that illegal war and
00:33:35
therefore any repercussions against any
00:33:38
Americans on mainland America would be
00:33:40
justified because that's what you're
00:33:42
saying. >> No, no, it's it's not what I'm saying.
00:33:44
But I would note in the war that Israel
00:33:46
has fought against Gaza, the percentage
00:33:48
of civilians who have died versus the
00:33:50
percentage of combatants is far lower
00:33:52
than we saw in that war. Yet the outrage
00:33:55
perpetrated against Israel in a war
00:33:57
where almost a thousand IDF soldiers
00:33:59
have died in order to minimize the
00:34:03
casualties in Gaza. If Israel had wanted
00:34:05
to wipe Gaza off the map, it could have
00:34:07
done that. But it didn't because it
00:34:09
wanted to minimize the death that was
00:34:12
over there. The only difference between
00:34:14
Gaza and Israel is Israel has the
00:34:16
capability to do what it is accused of
00:34:18
and chooses not to. Gaza does not have
00:34:21
the capability to execute the genocide
00:34:24
that it wants to because Israel stops
00:34:26
it. That is the fundamental difference
00:34:28
between the two sides.
00:34:30
>> All right, Chen, your final response
00:34:32
before we let Randy Fine go.
00:34:34
>> Yeah. So, as you've seen, he's
00:34:36
constantly referring to the Muslims that
00:34:38
surround Israel. They're the real
00:34:40
problem. It's open bigotry. he's not
00:34:42
even hiding it. And then he'll go and
00:34:43
hide behind the human shields of good
00:34:45
innocent Jewish Americans and say, "Oh,
00:34:48
no. If you criticize Israel, you're
00:34:49
actually criticizing Jewish Americans."
00:34:51
Which no one did. Uh it's the the
00:34:54
dirtiest trick in the using the
00:34:56
anti-semitism card to protect uh his
00:35:00
form of terrorism that he supports,
00:35:02
which Jewish Americans do not support.
00:35:04
Uh and so he says it's okay to kill the
00:35:07
Gazins, which is collective punishment.
00:35:09
He's not only said to nuke them and
00:35:11
starve them, but he just said it right
00:35:12
here on this air. He's a deeply sick man
00:35:15
who wants to put a moral stain on this
00:35:17
country by forcing us to fund the
00:35:20
genocide of the Palestinians. They have
00:35:22
already done 75 October 7th, but it's
00:35:25
never enough murder for Randy Fine.
00:35:28
They've already killed a stadium full.
00:35:30
Imagine 20,000 murdered children lit on
00:35:33
fire. Their heads exploded. Israel did
00:35:36
all of that. And Randy Fine is saying,
00:35:38
"It's not enough. Americans, go work
00:35:40
another shift because you got to send
00:35:42
Israel more money to kill more
00:35:44
Palestinian children and put that on
00:35:46
America's soul." Don't listen to this
00:35:48
guy. He doesn't believe in America. He
00:35:51
just his whole point is to make sure
00:35:53
that we fund his beloved Israel and
00:35:56
their sick, disgusting terrorism.
00:36:00
[clears throat] Israel is the largest
00:36:01
terrorist entity.
00:36:04
>> No, nobody said that. You're the only
00:36:05
one who says it. You're the sick,
00:36:08
disgusting Muslot.
00:36:11
>> No one wants anti-semitism. The only
00:36:13
person who wants anti-semitism is you
00:36:16
cuz you want to hide behind it. You
00:36:18
bring up your Yamaka when no one else
00:36:19
did. No one minds your Yamaka except you
00:36:22
brought it up as if like you're some
00:36:23
sort of victim. You're the one who wants
00:36:25
to over a million people at all. You're
00:36:27
not a victim. You're a disgusting
00:36:30
terrorist sympathizer and I you should
00:36:33
not be in the United States Congress.
00:36:35
You are on this country and all of your
00:36:38
fellow invaders. You are trying to
00:36:39
occupy America. So will you steal our
00:36:42
money to send money over to Israel to
00:36:46
steal Palestinian and Arab and Muslim
00:36:48
land. And on on top of that, peers, one
00:36:51
thing that's important is pro-Israel
00:36:53
people like Randy Fine have spread
00:36:56
hatred and fear of Muslims in this
00:36:58
country my entire life. They have tried
00:37:01
to get everyone to hate Muslims so that
00:37:03
they could say, "Oh, look, uh, now we
00:37:07
Israel is defending Western
00:37:09
civilization. You should murder all the
00:37:11
Muslims and you should let Israel take
00:37:13
all of their land because we are
00:37:15
defending Western civilization." And
00:37:18
then they have the audacity. Do you mind
00:37:20
if I complain about anti-semitism?
00:37:22
>> Do you mind if I make one closing
00:37:23
remark? They are the biggest in the
00:37:26
country. This is a
00:37:28
literally for Okay, Randy.
00:37:31
>> Okay. I just want to make it clear to to
00:37:33
viewers before you Randy, I'll give you
00:37:36
one final uh response because to be fair
00:37:38
to you, you did not know you would be
00:37:40
engaging in a wider debate with other
00:37:42
panelists. I decided to bring Chen in
00:37:44
because you called him a barbarian
00:37:46
invading United States. I think if you
00:37:47
do about a panel member, they're
00:37:49
entitled to respond. He's now obviously
00:37:52
responded angrily and passionately to
00:37:54
you. I'll give you one last word back
00:37:56
and then we'll we're going to move back
00:37:57
to the panel.
00:37:58
>> I would note I did not do that on the
00:38:00
show. You could have warned me in
00:38:01
advance, but again, I don't mind I don't
00:38:03
mind having the debate. I would note
00:38:04
this is if Islamophobia was the big
00:38:07
issue that Sank Shank makes it out to
00:38:09
be, Mam Dami would not have had to lie
00:38:12
and make up an aunt that did not exist
00:38:14
who is not in the United States dealing
00:38:16
with so-called Islamophobia after 9/11.
00:38:19
If the problem was real, the stories
00:38:21
would be endemic and they would be
00:38:23
everywhere. So, people need to not
00:38:25
believe the nonsense. The fact of the
00:38:26
matter is if you hear someone yell
00:38:28
Allahu Akbar walking down the street,
00:38:30
you're probably going to take cover.
00:38:32
Fear of Islam is rational. Doesn't mean
00:38:34
all Muslims are bad. They are not. But
00:38:36
this concern that many Americans have
00:38:38
and that they have in your home country,
00:38:40
it is real. And I thank you for having
00:38:42
me on your show today. Happy to come
00:38:43
back anytime.
00:38:46
>> Okay, Randy Fine, I appreciate you
00:38:48
coming on. Thank you very much. We're
00:38:49
going to go back to the panel now. We've
00:38:50
been waiting patiently there. Um Jillian
00:38:52
Michaels,
00:38:54
we can hear the nature of this debate.
00:38:57
This has been raging now for not just
00:38:59
two years. This has been this is a
00:39:00
debate that's raged for decades. Um
00:39:03
let's talk big picture about Israel for
00:39:05
a moment. There was a flare up in the
00:39:08
last couple of days where it appears
00:39:10
that uh members of Hamas, although they
00:39:13
say it was a splinter group and not
00:39:14
them, uh killed several IDF soldiers. As
00:39:18
a result, Netanyahu ordered a fresh
00:39:20
barrage of bombardment uh into Gaza.
00:39:23
That has now stopped. Uh they're not
00:39:25
saying it's the end of the ceasefire. We
00:39:27
had the Qatari prime minister was an
00:39:30
interesting intervention I think because
00:39:32
they've been obviously pivotal in trying
00:39:34
to uh get this peace process resolved.
00:39:37
He said that the deadly attack on
00:39:39
Israeli soldiers in Gaza and the strikes
00:39:41
in response by Israel were very
00:39:43
disappointing and frustrating for us.
00:39:45
But he added that's basically a
00:39:46
violation by the Palestinian party.
00:39:49
Whilst he noted that Hamas claimed it
00:39:51
was not communicating with the group
00:39:52
that carried out the attack, which I
00:39:53
thought was a measured response to this.
00:39:55
Crucially, it seems the ceasefire in in
00:39:59
the big picture is holding. Do you think
00:40:02
it can hold or do you think we're going
00:40:04
to see a lot more of this and the thing
00:40:06
is going to blow apart?
00:40:09
I speak only as a layman who wants to
00:40:12
see the killing stop. I This has gone on
00:40:16
from what I can glean for thousands of
00:40:19
years. It's very complicated. I've
00:40:21
listened to experts on both sides. I'm
00:40:23
hopeful.
00:40:25
My optimism is waning a bit. Um, but I
00:40:29
think if we if we don't hope, then what
00:40:31
do we have, right? If if you're not
00:40:34
fighting for peace, what are you
00:40:35
fighting for? I I think you've got all
00:40:38
of many of the other Arab nations
00:40:40
involved and invested. That's
00:40:42
exceptionally encouraging. You have
00:40:43
numerous guarantee guaranurs of this
00:40:46
peace deal. But, you know, to see
00:40:49
already what's going on, it is
00:40:52
discouraging and it is alarming. And
00:40:54
again, I I'm not an expert on this. All
00:40:56
I can tell you is I want people to stop
00:40:59
dying. And I can acknowledge atrocities
00:41:01
committed on both sides. And that's
00:41:03
where I stand on it. I want it to stop.
00:41:08
>> Okay. Omar, I mean, isn't isn't that as
00:41:10
an overview of here something we should
00:41:12
all share and embrace?
00:41:15
I mean, I would dispute the idea that
00:41:17
this has been going on for thousands of
00:41:18
years. Uh, this is a way to just say,
00:41:20
"Oh, this is a conflict between Muslims
00:41:22
and Jews and whatever, and it goes
00:41:23
back." The truth of the matter is, we
00:41:25
are dealing with a very modern problem.
00:41:27
The modern state of Israel is ruling
00:41:30
over all of Palestine, imposing a system
00:41:32
of apartheid, denying Palestinians their
00:41:34
basic rights. They're putting them under
00:41:36
military occupation where they don't
00:41:38
have the right to movement, don't have
00:41:39
the right to attend court, don't have
00:41:41
the right to vote for the government
00:41:42
that rules their lives, and can't move
00:41:44
in and out without Israeli permission.
00:41:46
It's a system of domination of one
00:41:47
people over another. And that is the
00:41:49
core problem, and that is precisely why
00:41:51
we are in the situation that we're in.
00:41:52
Now, of course, atrocities do exist on
00:41:54
both sides. There's no denying it. But
00:41:56
we have to be clear about the fact that
00:41:58
it is only when there is Palestinian
00:41:59
violence towards Israel do we talk about
00:42:01
this as a controversy, as a breaking of
00:42:03
a ceasefire. You know, we have to note
00:42:05
about the fact that since the beginning
00:42:07
of the ceasefire, before this attack,
00:42:09
Israel had killed more than a hundred
00:42:11
Palestinians in Gaza. And yet, you did
00:42:13
not hear anybody talking about that as a
00:42:14
violation of the ceasefire. That
00:42:16
includes a bus full of children who are
00:42:18
looking for shelter with their parents
00:42:20
driving around looking for someplace to
00:42:21
be. And those children get killed and
00:42:23
nobody bats an eye. But the second that
00:42:25
there is an unknown attack on an Israeli
00:42:26
soldier, then we talk about this as a
00:42:28
violation of the ceasefire and Israel is
00:42:29
going to explode and retaliate by
00:42:31
murdering another hundred people, half
00:42:33
of them children. I mean, we just have a
00:42:35
completely lopsided way of looking at
00:42:36
this where Palestinian life is
00:42:38
considered dispensable. It doesn't count
00:42:40
for anything. Israel can murder them
00:42:41
left and right, but only when there's
00:42:43
violence towards, in this case, Israeli
00:42:45
soldiers who are occupying forces in
00:42:46
Gaza, that somehow becomes a point of
00:42:49
tension and attention. We start talking
00:42:50
about which party is responsible for a
00:42:52
ceasefire violation. It's entirely silly
00:42:54
and it misses the point underneath. Just
00:42:57
last point, last point beers, there is
00:42:59
no ceasefire. What there is is pressure
00:43:01
from the United States administration on
00:43:02
Israel to scale back the genocide so
00:43:04
that instead of killing 100 people a
00:43:06
day, now they're killing 100 people
00:43:08
every couple of weeks. That's the rate
00:43:09
at which we're going. But there's still
00:43:11
a dynamic in which there's an effort to
00:43:13
get rid of Palestinians and there's no
00:43:14
prospect for Palestinians to be a free
00:43:16
people who rule themselves in Palestine.
00:43:18
And that means that this problem is
00:43:19
going to continue.
00:43:21
Okay, Casey Miller, I think it's now
00:43:23
been confirmed that one IDF soldier
00:43:26
died. I think initially reported it was
00:43:28
two, but either way, when you have the
00:43:30
Qatari prime minister who's they've been
00:43:32
acting as mediators with this, when you
00:43:35
have them confirming it was basically a
00:43:37
violation by the Palestinian party,
00:43:40
Hamas, then they're acknowledging even
00:43:43
in the Arab world that this latest flare
00:43:45
up was precipitated by the death of an
00:43:48
IDF soldier. Now, people can argue about
00:43:51
the scale of the response from Israel,
00:43:53
but thankfully it has already stopped.
00:43:55
Well, check you can shake your head, but
00:43:56
I mean the reality is they responded to
00:43:59
the death of one of their soldiers. We
00:44:00
may not like the scale of it, but that's
00:44:02
what they responded to in this in this
00:44:04
particular flare up. The more important
00:44:06
thing for me, Katy Miller,
00:44:07
>> by killing bystanders.
00:44:09
Killing a third party is not a response
00:44:11
to this. >> Well, you like I say, you may not like
00:44:14
the scale of response. murdered children
00:44:16
because one of their SS soldiers was
00:44:18
killed and it wasn't even by Hamas. Are
00:44:20
you kidding me peers? So they're
00:44:22
occupying 53% of Gaza right now. So
00:44:25
shouldn't they get the hell out of Gaza?
00:44:27
So one of their princess soldiers gets
00:44:29
killed and we're supposed to shed a tear
00:44:31
for the occupiers. In reality, they
00:44:33
murdered 46 children. They murdered 46
00:44:37
children today. I can't stand the
00:44:40
terrorism of Israel.
00:44:42
>> Yeah, but you know what, Jake? When you
00:44:43
call when you call the IDF SS soldiers
00:44:46
and you compare them directly to the
00:44:49
Nazis. Yes. And you know they're Jewish.
00:44:51
I find I I'm not Jewish and I find that
00:44:54
horrible.
00:44:56
>> So no no Israel does Hold on. Let me
00:45:00
explain. So Israel does not get a pass
00:45:02
on committing another genocide because
00:45:05
Jewish people suffered the Holocaust.
00:45:07
What happened in the pass? You don't get
00:45:09
a passing for calling. Hold on. Hold on.
00:45:13
Hold on. So what happened in the
00:45:15
Holocaust and all THE POGRAMS AND ALL
00:45:17
THE POGRAMS were disgusting doesn't mean
00:45:20
that Israel pretending to represent Jews
00:45:23
across the world gets to commit another
00:45:26
genocide upon a totally innocent people
00:45:29
and collective punishment and murdering
00:45:31
children over and OVER AGAIN AND GO I
00:45:33
GET TO DO IT. I GET TO DO A GENOCIDE.
00:45:36
YOU DON'T GET to do a genocide. THERE IS
00:45:38
NO JAIL FREE.
00:45:39
>> YOU KNOW WHAT I GET TO DO? What I get to
00:45:42
All right, Chen. What I get to do is
00:45:44
invite every member of the panel to
00:45:45
speak fairly and openly. And my question
00:45:48
was directed to Katie. I mean, Katie,
00:45:50
look, you know, from my point of view,
00:45:51
you ask me about that. Would anyone
00:45:54
>> And they are they're committing Katie
00:45:56
speak. 60% of the kids say shots to the
00:45:58
head are chest. They're literal
00:46:00
terrorists. >> Let Katie Miller speak. Check. Let Katie
00:46:04
speak. Katie,
00:46:06
>> I will just say this, Piers. This is my
00:46:08
last time on this program. If you're
00:46:09
going to invite open anti-semitics to
00:46:11
participate on your platform and not
00:46:12
call it out for what it is, which is
00:46:14
openism,
00:46:15
>> I literally just called it out.
00:46:18
>> I JUST point inviting him back, giving
00:46:20
him the air.
00:46:21
>> What more do you want me to do?
00:46:22
>> His hatred toward people like myself,
00:46:24
towards people like MY CHILDREN, TOWARDS
00:46:26
PEOPLE LIKE MY family and again not
00:46:28
debate the merits of the argument, but
00:46:30
you what kind of lunatic are you?
00:46:35
>> In the last segment with Rep. Randy
00:46:36
fine, what you said was he had said the
00:46:38
word Muslim. He never once said the word
00:46:40
Muslim. You immediately turn it to
00:46:41
identity politics, which are more than
00:46:44
identity politics.
00:46:45
>> He did. He did say the word Muslim. He
00:46:47
did say Muslim. He did. I heard him. He
00:46:49
did say it.
00:46:51
>> What you're doing by comparing the SS
00:46:55
and the IDF is once again saying that
00:46:57
the Israeli state, you're coding it for
00:46:59
just saying Jews. You're saying that
00:47:01
October 7th and what happened
00:47:03
afterwards.
00:47:07
You're Let's not forget that there were
00:47:08
[laughter] bombers that came from Gaza
00:47:10
near daily into Israel.
00:47:12
>> LET'S FINISH UP. LET'S NOT FORGET.
00:47:14
>> Let's not forget who held Israeli
00:47:18
hostages. Was that all Hamas? No, that
00:47:20
was also Gazin civilians. Why can't they
00:47:23
find and return all of the bodies of the
00:47:25
hostages? Why? We saw on video yesterday
00:47:28
from an IDF drone that a body was
00:47:30
recovered and
00:47:31
>> because Israel was genociding Gaza and
00:47:33
you can't keep track of what's going on
00:47:34
in Gaza when it's under relentless
00:47:36
bombardment from the north to the south.
00:47:37
I mean it's it's incredible. We're
00:47:39
looking at a dynamic in which literally
00:47:40
Israeli soldiers are shooting children
00:47:42
in the head snipers. Were they all Hamas
00:47:45
or were some
00:47:47
>> I would like to ask Katie Katie let me
00:47:49
ask you a question. The thing I found
00:47:51
offensive of of what Randy Fine said,
00:47:53
amongst other things actually, but his
00:47:55
particular statement uh in which he
00:47:58
repeatedly referred to Gazans, not
00:48:00
Hamas. I don't think that helps anybody
00:48:03
in this debate. Hamas, we know what they
00:48:05
are. They're an armed military and
00:48:08
political power in Gaza. They do not
00:48:10
represent every Gazin. And to try and
00:48:13
constantly call the people October the
00:48:16
7th Gens, I think is wrong. I sincerely
00:48:19
cuz I think it's wrong.
00:48:21
>> In the same way I find it offensive when
00:48:23
Shank says when Shank says yeah but
00:48:26
Shank says the idea for the SS. I find
00:48:27
that incredibly offensive particularly
00:48:29
given that they're Jewish.
00:48:30
>> Why is it a genocide? Why is that
00:48:32
offensive?
00:48:35
>> Because you're singling you're comparing
00:48:36
them directly to the people that wage
00:48:39
the Holocaust.
00:48:41
>> By the way, you could also call them
00:48:42
Turks. You could also call them
00:48:44
Ottomans. You could call them Serbs. You
00:48:46
could call them um members of Pope Pot's
00:48:49
uh campaign. You can call them anything
00:48:50
you like. They're all genocides. Now,
00:48:52
the Holocaust was even worse. I I get
00:48:54
that. But at the same time, it is a
00:48:56
genocide. And frankly, when you just
00:48:58
simply look at what is left of Gaza,
00:49:00
have you seen the footage of it? There's
00:49:02
nothing left there. The overwhel just
00:49:04
there's complete and total destruction
00:49:06
that is obviously aimed at the
00:49:07
population and it's admitted to by
00:49:09
Israeli leaders themselves. They're
00:49:11
saying that they're trying to make Gaza
00:49:13
unlivable for Palestinians. They're
00:49:15
telling you it's a genocide.
00:49:16
>> I don't disagree, Omar. I don't
00:49:18
disagree. And when I hear people like
00:49:20
Smodri and Bengavir, I think they talk
00:49:22
in genocidal language. I've classified
00:49:24
it myself as ethnic cleansing. They've
00:49:26
mowed no secret that they want to kick
00:49:28
all the Palestinians out of Gaza. I
00:49:30
think it's disgusting and reprehensible.
00:49:31
And when the Israeli government
00:49:33
officials we've had on try and pretend
00:49:35
that their views don't matter and we
00:49:37
should ignore Sodri and Ben, I say why?
00:49:39
Why should we? They're senior members of
00:49:41
the government for God's sake. So I
00:49:42
have, as you know, both of you, you and
00:49:44
Shank both know, I've expressed
00:49:46
increasingly uh critical views about the
00:49:48
Israeli government strategy in Gaza all
00:49:50
this year, but I prefer not to get into,
00:49:53
you know, debates about this stuff where
00:49:55
you shout over Katie Miller and start
00:49:58
calling the IDF the SS. I think it's
00:50:00
just unnecessary. Now, going back to
00:50:02
Katie Miller, Katie, do you think we're
00:50:04
going to get a lasting piece?
00:50:05
>> Poor little genocide.
00:50:06
>> All right. Is your name Katie Miller,
00:50:08
Chen? No, it's not. You're not Katie
00:50:10
Miller. Katy Miller, do you think we're
00:50:12
gonna get a lasting peace here or not?
00:50:15
I think we will because again this is a
00:50:17
de this is a centuriesl long war as
00:50:19
Jillian has said that has persisted for
00:50:22
many many years and force united
00:50:26
>> for once we have a president who stands
00:50:28
up and says let's be done with this who
00:50:31
brings everyone together all of the
00:50:33
countries in the Middle East to uphold a
00:50:36
peace agreement and whether that is one
00:50:38
IDF soldier being killed or two and
00:50:41
skirmishes whether that is Palestinians
00:50:43
killing themselves after this peace
00:50:45
after this ceasefire which we saw in the
00:50:47
streets of Gaza, right? Is that all we
00:50:50
want to have happen is a lasting peace
00:50:52
between Israel and the Palestinians.
00:50:55
That is it.
00:50:58
>> Okay, >> that is utterly clueless. I'm sorry, but
00:51:01
Miller does not know what he's talking
00:51:02
about
00:51:03
>> because Donald Trump is the most
00:51:05
clueless president about this stuff.
00:51:06
Sure, he's throwing his weight around
00:51:08
trying to make sure that there isn't a
00:51:09
ceasefire because he's desperate to get
00:51:11
some kind of Nobel Peace Prize for peace
00:51:12
or whatever or portraying himself as the
00:51:14
peace president, but he will not work
00:51:18
the minimum that is required for a long
00:51:20
and just peace. And that is Palestinians
00:51:22
to be free and a president who doesn't
00:51:23
understand that Palestinians being a
00:51:25
free people in their own land is a
00:51:27
prerequisite is not going to achieve
00:51:28
long-lasting peace.
00:51:30
>> Would you rather war continue? Would you
00:51:31
rather
00:51:33
>> Would you rather the hostages I'd rather
00:51:34
the problem be solved? I'd rather Israel
00:51:37
be isolated diplomatically and
00:51:38
militarily and financially until it ends
00:51:40
its brutal occupation over Palestinian
00:51:42
territories and allows Palestinians to
00:51:43
be free. That's how you solve the
00:51:45
problem. >> No, you keep saying nonsense.
00:51:47
>> I do think of all the things of all the
00:51:49
things to attack Donald Trump.
00:51:51
>> All right. Of all the things to attack
00:51:53
Donald Trump about, him actively trying
00:51:55
to wage peace and maybe getting a Nobel
00:51:58
Peace Prize seems to me the least the
00:52:00
least problematic thing about Donald
00:52:02
Trump. that a Republican-American
00:52:03
president who actively seeks peace, not
00:52:06
war, should be celebrated by everybody.
00:52:08
Right? So I think when you when is this
00:52:10
what I mean about Trump derangement
00:52:11
syndrome when people can't even give him
00:52:13
credit can't even give him credit for
00:52:15
trying to find peace.
00:52:16
>> What's wrong with you credit? Somebody
00:52:18
who funds a genocide and then decides to
00:52:20
arbitrarily put a stop to it briefly by
00:52:22
putting some pressure on Israel to cut
00:52:24
it out and who basically encourages
00:52:25
Israel to bomb Iran and then 12 12 days
00:52:28
later takes credit for having stopped
00:52:29
that war. You can't be the initiator of
00:52:31
war and genocide and then try to take
00:52:33
credit for being the peace president
00:52:34
because you put us in your own nonsense.
00:52:36
That is not how it works. What happened?
00:52:38
>> Let's be honest. October 7th is what
00:52:40
started this.
00:52:42
>> All right. [laughter] Palestines were
00:52:45
being killed before several hundred
00:52:47
Palestines were killed in 2023 before
00:52:48
October 7th.
00:52:49
>> All right. We we are moving on. We are
00:52:52
going to move on briefly to a couple of
00:52:53
other topics I wanted to mention. Katie,
00:52:55
while I've got you talking to me, I
00:52:57
wanted to mention this is where you and
00:52:59
Jake Tat Tappa got into it over the
00:53:01
former White House press secretary
00:53:03
Karine Jean Pierre. Let's take a look.
00:53:06
>> She is quite incompetent to do the job.
00:53:08
Right. This is what Republicans have
00:53:10
been saying for years now is that she is
00:53:12
just another evidence that DEI doesn't
00:53:14
work. Whether that's in the White House
00:53:16
in your press secretary role or whether
00:53:18
that's a you know an air traffic
00:53:20
controller, an air pilot, whether that's
00:53:22
your doctor, you know, you don't you
00:53:23
want to hire the best for the role, not
00:53:25
not just based on skin color. Jake, why
00:53:27
did she get the job over John Kirby?
00:53:29
>> Well, why are we assuming that she is a
00:53:31
black LGBT, you know, gay woman is DEI,
00:53:34
but a white woman who is behind the
00:53:36
podium right now, which DEI initially
00:53:38
started as affirmative action, which was
00:53:40
about affirmatively hiring women and
00:53:42
minorities. Why is one DEI and the other
00:53:44
is not? Why did she get the job over
00:53:45
John Kirby? Because as everyone has said
00:53:47
this week, she is woefully incompetent.
00:53:49
>> She had the job long before John Kirby.
00:53:51
>> I will I will just say she used to be a
00:53:53
commentator on CNN, then she was one on
00:53:55
MSNBC, and she was good at that. Like I
00:53:58
mean I I'm without getting into the job
00:54:00
I thought she did as press secretary. I
00:54:02
I thought I I it it didn't seem crazy to
00:54:04
me because she was eloquent as a as a
00:54:08
commentator. >> Why is she trained every four sentences
00:54:10
to say she is a black queer LGBTQ woman?
00:54:13
because that's how she's been promoted
00:54:14
her entire career.
00:54:17
>> You know, I thought it was an
00:54:18
interesting debate, Casey. I mean, on
00:54:20
her book tour, all we've heard from Jean
00:54:22
uh Karan Jean Pierre is her repeatedly
00:54:25
saying how proud she was to be a black
00:54:27
queer LGBTQ woman. Let's take a look.
00:54:31
>> As a black woman, as a person who's also
00:54:33
LGBTQ, as a black woman, as a black
00:54:37
woman, I am a black woman. I am a queer
00:54:40
woman. I am an immigrant. Being a black
00:54:42
woman, as a black woman myself, that is
00:54:45
the thing that I understood as a black
00:54:48
woman is that I meant a lot to people of
00:54:51
because of the communities that I
00:54:52
represented, whether it was women of
00:54:54
color, black women, queer community,
00:54:57
LGBTQ community, immigr.
00:55:06
I mean, as an advertisement
00:55:07
[clears throat] for DEI gone wrong, there you have it in
00:55:10
her own words, right? All she could do
00:55:13
to justify her performance in which to
00:55:15
remind everybody for two years she kept
00:55:17
telling us how brilliantly cognitively
00:55:19
aware Joe Biden was when it was quite
00:55:21
obvious that the complete opposite was
00:55:23
true. So, she was lying from that
00:55:24
podium. And I don't care about her skin
00:55:27
color or sexuality, but my god, she
00:55:30
cares about it. And so when people talk
00:55:32
about DEI and they look at the way she's
00:55:34
been handling her book tour, all they're
00:55:37
hearing is identity politics that the
00:55:39
reason we should rate her as a press
00:55:41
secretary is because she was a black
00:55:43
queer woman. Well, sorry, I don't. I
00:55:46
rate you on whether you are any good in
00:55:48
your job.
00:55:52
>> If you read her her New Yorker interview
00:55:54
that she did, she gives an excuse for
00:55:56
that. the fact that Joe Biden was
00:55:58
wrongfully kicked off the ticket and
00:55:59
that's why she left the Democratic
00:56:00
party. It's not because the Democratic
00:56:01
party did anything wrong, right? She
00:56:03
perpetrated the biggest fraud in the
00:56:04
American people, but yet she also says
00:56:06
Kamla shouldn't have been the
00:56:08
presidential nominee, but also says
00:56:09
Kamala was wronged because because she's
00:56:11
a black woman, she she should have been
00:56:13
more celebrated as the nominee. She has
00:56:15
so many hypocrisies in one sentence, but
00:56:17
then every other sentence talks about
00:56:18
her black queerness. And at a certain
00:56:20
point, you either stand on the merit
00:56:22
that you were qualified to do the job,
00:56:24
which we all know after watching two
00:56:25
years of her every day give this very
00:56:28
terrible press conference, or that she
00:56:29
wasn't qualified to do the job. And to
00:56:31
me, that is emblematic of the larger
00:56:32
problem of the last four years of the
00:56:34
Biden administration in which people
00:56:35
were not chosen based on their merit or
00:56:37
their qualifications. They were chosen
00:56:39
solely based on their race. And whether
00:56:41
you saw that again with pilots in the
00:56:42
sky or your doctor or air traffic
00:56:45
controllers, which if you looked at when
00:56:47
Trump came in on January 6, there was
00:56:49
literally qualifications that said, "We
00:56:51
prefer the hiring of dwarves." That is
00:56:54
really what it said. And that's not what
00:56:56
I want in my air traffic controllers. I
00:56:57
want someone who is best for the job.
00:56:59
>> Okay. All right. Check yuga. Um, when
00:57:02
you look at Karine Jean-Pierre's book
00:57:04
tour and you see the repeated identity
00:57:06
politics that she's spewing here to
00:57:08
justify her role and her performance,
00:57:11
you must cringe too, don't you? I mean,
00:57:13
nobody wants to see somebody who just
00:57:15
endlessly says, "I'm so proud of being a
00:57:18
black queer woman at that podium." Why
00:57:20
would anyone care that she's a black
00:57:22
queer woman at that podium? Why don't we
00:57:24
just care that she's good at her job or
00:57:25
not?
00:57:27
>> I I do totally cringe. Uh, I hate to say
00:57:30
it, but I half agree with Katie here.
00:57:32
Uh, so the the half I don't agree is
00:57:35
that she was hired FOR THAT POSITION.
00:57:36
>> NO, I BROUGHT YOU TOGETHER.
00:57:39
>> OKAY. UM, so I don't agree that she was
00:57:42
hired for that position because she's a
00:57:44
black woman or she's queer, etc. She's
00:57:46
perfectly capable of being a liar like
00:57:48
every press secretary for every
00:57:49
president is. Their job is to literally
00:57:51
lie for the president. In fact, when
00:57:54
Karine Jean Pierre was asked, "Hey, do
00:57:56
you have any sympathy for the
00:57:57
Palestinians? did do you feel regret any
00:57:59
of the propaganda you did uh you know at
00:58:02
the time in that role? She said, "Well,
00:58:04
I'm a queer black woman, so I was proud
00:58:06
of that what I did." What? Well, that
00:58:08
doesn't make any sense. They're asking
00:58:10
you about a substantive policy question
00:58:12
and you're answering, "It's okay. I'm
00:58:14
allowed to do whatever I want because
00:58:15
I'm a queer black woman." No, you're
00:58:17
not. There is no such pass. Okay? And
00:58:20
so, so the and she's obsessed with
00:58:23
identity politics and I can't stand it.
00:58:25
It's a losing strategy. It's a very
00:58:27
selfish strategy. And by the way though,
00:58:29
Katie, now we have a different DEI in in
00:58:32
the in this administration, which is you
00:58:34
must show loyalty to Israel. If you
00:58:36
don't show loyalty to Israel, you won't
00:58:38
get hired and you'll
00:58:39
>> All right. Let's not get into that. All
00:58:41
right. Okay. But it is Let's not get No,
00:58:44
no, hang on. Let's not get back into
00:58:46
Israel. No, wait, wait a second, Omar,
00:58:48
because I just want to I just want to
00:58:49
reference on this similar issue. We had
00:58:51
another black queer person by their own
00:58:54
uh self- definitionf, Don Lemon, who
00:58:57
attacked Megan Kelly on her looks in a
00:58:59
way that I found fascinating. Let's take
00:59:01
a look at this.
00:59:05
>> Megan Kelly, my final words, kind of
00:59:08
looks like a Barbie doll covered in like
00:59:09
WD40.
00:59:11
>> I think she looks trans.
00:59:13
>> Let's end on that note.
00:59:14
>> She looks, as they say,
00:59:16
>> she looks clockable.
00:59:20
So, she said he said there that she
00:59:23
looks trans and looks clockable, which
00:59:25
I'm told refers to a term used to
00:59:27
describe a trans person who is not
00:59:29
passing as their biological gender. What
00:59:31
I was struck by, Jillian, about that was
00:59:34
uh there's Don Lemon, the great, you
00:59:36
know, standard bearer for the black uh
00:59:39
gay community, seemingly using trans as
00:59:43
a derogatory way to describe somebody.
00:59:46
I'm shocked.
00:59:49
I mean, he's the ultimate hypocrite. I
00:59:52
am not a Don Lemon fan, but the reality
00:59:56
is that I personally am witnessing
00:59:59
this kind of othering and name calling.
01:00:03
I mean, you're seeing this on both
01:00:04
sides. You've got a freaking what was it
01:00:07
a text chain that came out on the
01:00:09
Republican side with anti-semitic slurs
01:00:12
and racist slurs and then you've got a
01:00:14
Democratic candidate that had a Nazi
01:00:16
tattoo and also had racist slur. Like
01:00:19
this is happening on both sides and
01:00:21
instead of pointing fingers and who's
01:00:23
doing it and who did what and who's for
01:00:25
it and who isn't, it should be
01:00:27
unilaterally condemned. Identity
01:00:30
politics is gross. Period. It does
01:00:33
happen on both sides and it should be
01:00:36
isolated and marginalized. That's not
01:00:39
cool. What Don Lemon just said is gross.
01:00:42
It's gross. Period. It would be gross
01:00:44
coming out of a Republican's mouth. It's
01:00:46
gross coming out of a Democrat's mouth.
01:00:48
And it should be unilaterally condemned.
01:00:52
>> Yeah. It's actually transphobic,
01:00:55
ironically. Omar. Yep.
01:00:58
>> Yeah. So certainly what Don Lemon said
01:01:01
is incredibly distasteful and there's no
01:01:02
way to defend it. But just on the John
01:01:04
Pierre bit, I do think frankly that
01:01:07
diversity, equality, and inclusion are
01:01:09
important things. The United States has
01:01:11
a very racist history of excluding a lot
01:01:12
of people and we should be celebrating
01:01:14
the fact that we are becoming a more
01:01:15
inclusive society where people of
01:01:17
different backgrounds can rise uh to
01:01:19
positions that previously were simply
01:01:21
inaccessible. Now I agree with Jenk that
01:01:23
this becomes a problem when you start
01:01:24
using it as a shield to avoid the
01:01:26
substance of conversations. and the
01:01:28
recent interview she had on MSNBC in
01:01:30
which she's asked about whether she has
01:01:32
any regrets about the way she defended
01:01:34
Biden's policies and war crimes and what
01:01:36
she responded with is her identity. That
01:01:38
to me is a misuse and an abuse of DEI.
01:01:41
It's a way to trivialize that and and
01:01:44
essentially reduce identity politics to
01:01:46
something distasteful that becomes a
01:01:47
source of criticism when absent these
01:01:49
kinds of abuses. I do think that there
01:01:51
is room for identity politics in our
01:01:52
country that has excluded way too many
01:01:54
people because of their identity. And
01:01:56
the fact that we're progressing beyond
01:01:57
that is frankly something to celebrate
01:01:59
and to to look forward to.
01:02:01
>> Okay. I I prefer a I just prefer a
01:02:04
general country where there's
01:02:05
opportunity for all from the grassroots
01:02:07
up and then meritocracy overrides
01:02:10
mediocrity by ticking boxes. I think
01:02:13
it's just so selfharming actually to the
01:02:15
communities who people think they're
01:02:17
trying to help. I mean, the classic
01:02:18
example to me, the I just written a book
01:02:20
called Woke is Dead. It's an aspiration,
01:02:22
not a statement of fact. Uh, but I think
01:02:24
the ideology is dying fast. The people
01:02:27
reacting to stuff on the woke side, I
01:02:29
think, is just people have had enough of
01:02:31
it. But my classic was when Disney
01:02:34
remade Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
01:02:36
and they decided that dwarf actors could
01:02:39
not play the dwarf roles. They
01:02:41
therefore, as the dwarf actors told me,
01:02:44
deprived dwarf actors of the most prized
01:02:47
roles in their business. And they did it
01:02:50
apparently to protect the interests of
01:02:52
the dwarf actors. If that isn't the most
01:02:55
absurd example of of reverse identity
01:02:59
politics, selfharming the very people
01:03:01
it's is purporting to protect. I don't
01:03:03
know what is. Um, I was going to mention
01:03:05
one other thing. We've run out of time,
01:03:06
but I'm going to give my view about
01:03:08
this, which is Riley Gaines and
01:03:10
Alexandra Okasio Cortez swapping
01:03:12
insults. Gaines saying the US was being
01:03:15
destroyed from within by AOC, Mamani,
01:03:17
and Bernie Sanders. And rather than
01:03:19
respond to that, AOC responded by
01:03:22
saying, "Maybe if you channeled all this
01:03:23
anger into swimming faster, you wouldn't
01:03:25
have come in fifth." Which refers to the
01:03:28
race which started Riley Gain's campaign
01:03:31
on behalf of women athletes in sport. Uh
01:03:34
because of course she was beaten by Leah
01:03:36
Thomas, a 6'3 in biological male uh who
01:03:40
has been at the center of this absurd
01:03:42
debate about whether biological males
01:03:44
who identify as trans women. No problem
01:03:46
with that. But what you can't do is
01:03:48
compete against biological women because
01:03:50
there's a reason we separate the sexes
01:03:51
in the Olympics. Women wouldn't win
01:03:53
anything if we didn't. So I just want to
01:03:55
say to Alexander Okaso Cortez, who's
01:03:57
never come on this show and is always
01:03:59
welcome. Love to have her on. But when
01:04:01
you attack a woman who came fifth purely
01:04:05
because you AOC support a policy of
01:04:09
allowing biological males to compete
01:04:11
against women in sport. You that's not
01:04:14
the win you think it is.
01:04:15
>> It's a big
01:04:16
>> she was fifth either way. She tied she
01:04:19
tied with a trans athlete.
01:04:21
>> So she regardless
01:04:24
the the trans athlete should have been
01:04:26
nowhere near that pool. Leah Thomas won
01:04:28
one race by Leah Thomas won one run one
01:04:30
run one run one run one run one run one run one run one run one run one race by
01:04:31
50 seconds 50 seconds it's ridiculous
01:04:34
anyway that's more of a monologue than
01:04:36
an invitation for the panel to all pile
01:04:38
in uh I appreciate the panel is very
01:04:40
spirited very uh good I'm very glad at
01:04:43
the end we got to a tiny but important
01:04:45
point of agreement between Katie and
01:04:47
Chen I feel like it's the start of a new
01:04:49
relationship between you which nearly
01:04:51
ended uh within five minutes of today's
01:04:53
debate so here's to here's to further
01:04:56
moments where I can bring waring parties
01:04:58
together and we can reach points of
01:05:00
agreement. Uh that would be a lovely
01:05:02
thing. Thank you all very much.

New York Mayor runner Zohran Mamdani says that Islamophobia is “endemic” in the US, and his opponents have given him ample reason to make that case. A New York congresswoman called him “the jihadhist candidate” and Republican Randy Fine is trying to have him deported. Plus Mamdani’s main opponent, Andrew Cuomo, has called him a “terrorist sympathiser” and was widely criticised for saying this in a recent interview. For his part, Mamdani has not always struck the right tone on issues of race and faith, previously comparing the NYPD to the IDF and making bizarre statements about the real victims of 9/11. It comes at a time of hand-wringing and soul-searching over ICE raids, anti-immigrant rhetoric and the question of what it means to be an American. Is Mamdani the embodiment of this great colourblind meritocracy? Or, as Randy Fine puts it, part of the “invasion”? Joining Piers Morgan to debate is Randy Fine himself as well as former deputy press secretary Katie Miller, founder and CEO of The Young Turks Cenk Uygur, host of ‘Keeping It Real’ Jillian Michaels and Palestinian-American journalist Omar Baddar.
