Clean the keyboard on HP notebooks when keys are stuck and you cannot type as desired.

If possible, do not remove the mechanical assembly from either the key or keyboard.

If available, spray the area with compressed air to remove any loose debris.

Dampen a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol, and then clean the top and bottom of the key,

Some larger keys, such as SHIFT and spacebar, have metal bars that help support the key.

Clean the bars and if necessary, reattach to the keyboard.

Wait 30 seconds to allow the area to dry.

To reinstall a key, slide the front of the key into its original position
