This was a targeted attack
against individuals who answered00:04:30
the call to public service.00:04:32
Court documents say the
57-year-old husband and father00:04:36
started his alleged murderous
rampage around 2 a.m.00:04:39
disguised as a police
officer and heavily armed00:04:42
with firearms and body armor.00:04:44
Bolter also wearing

call a hyper-realistic
mask, made of latex,00:04:50
driving an SUV decked
out in emergency lights00:04:53
and a license plate
that read police.00:04:56
Investigators say this is
Bolter banging on the door00:04:58
of Democrat State Senator John
Hoffman, shouting police open00:05:02
up. The Senator and his wife
realizing he was an imposter.00:05:06
"When Senator Hoffman attempted
to push Belter out and stop00:05:09
him from entering his home,
Belter shot him repeatedly."00:05:13
Their front door riddled with
bullets, the Senator's daughter00:05:16
calling 911, setting off
the massive manhunt.00:05:20
Bolter allegedly driving
to the home of another00:05:22
elected official.00:05:24
Investigators say this
surveillance shows him at the00:05:27
door that lawmaker not home.00:05:29
Bolter then allegedly
driving to his third00:05:32
target five miles away.00:05:33
Where court documents say an
officer saw Bolter in his car00:05:36
while conducting a wellness
check on the state00:05:39
senator who lived there.00:05:40
And believe that the SUV was in
fact a law enforcement officer00:05:44
