This time I chose to give the song a feeling as if it’s Odin’s story told by humans who gather around a fire at night. In most of my other Viking songs up until now I chose a direct approach, telling the Saga from the key figure’s own perspective. This time I tell one part of the Saga from the perspective of ordinary humans who have never left Midgard themselves. The style of the song is therefore much more folky and almost upbeat. I was reluctant to compose Viking songs with a guitar and to make them more upbeat until now because by doing that they cross more and more into “Celtic”, since both genres are extremely close to each other already. However I finally decided not to hold back my creativity on those details and since then my ideas are flowing MUCH better. xD I always made clear that my Viking music isn't exactly what Vikings played 1000 years ago anyway, it has Fantasy elements in it.^^ All music composed and arranged on keyboard, by myself as always.
