There is a lot to say about this one.^^ First of all, yes the voice in the song is my own, I suck at singing so I decided to use my voice in a different way.^^ I wanted to make a song that feels hypnotizing, up to the point where you feel like you wander the Scandinavian Tundra yourself, in a time where Odin and Loki seemed very real. I was very inspired for this song by my recent trip to the mountains. As I stood beneath a mountain wall of black stone that literally pierced the sky I felt the immeasurable power of nature. There is something about mountains that just makes you realize how tiny you are as a human compared to the earth. The second inspiration came from the coming of winter, for which I cannot wait! I miss the snow and the freezing wind, and the long nights in which the world seems to hold its breath. Concerning the name of the song: In Norse Mythology the Einherjer are warriors who have fallen in battle and are brought to Valhalla by the Valkyries after their death. There are different ways of writing the name, I chose the Norwegian (bokmål) version. In Norwegian nynorsk it's written as Einherjar. In the video though I had to write it as „Einherier" because the „J" looks terrible in that font.^^ Composed and arranged 100% by myself on keyboard, as always. The artwork is a wallpaper from „The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim", to which all the credits go of course. It's from the DLC called „Dawnguard". If you don't know it already you should definitely check it out.
