Under their wings, a king and queen ruled with wisdom and grace, their people thriving in peace. But far across the sea, in a round city of salt and glass, the Red-Scaled King watched with envy. He twisted the hearts of distant nations and turned the world toward greed, offering the rulers of Zerzura a choice: kneel and be spared, or refuse and be erased. They chose to sleep instead, sealing their city beneath the desert until the world remembered what it had lost. The doves were warped by the curse, made into towering black guardians who now stand at the hidden gates. The king and queen lie in stone chambers, untouched by time, waiting for the day the world turns from the Red-Scaled King’s path.
