to be uh at an age of you know memory00:04:52
and remembering whatever September 11th00:04:54
2001 took place 24 years ago. I was in00:04:57
high school and obviously it was a00:04:58
devastating day. It was a crazy day. It00:05:00
changed this world mightily. Uh not just00:05:02
here but obviously around the globe as a00:05:05
whole. And what I remember about that,00:05:07
and we will never forget all the lives00:05:09
that were lost and all the badasses that00:05:11
ran towards uh fire and buildings00:05:13
collapsing and the heroes that stepped00:05:16
up amongst us in the middle of the crazy00:05:18
terrible chaos that was taking place in00:05:20
our biggest city. And then I'm from00:05:22
Pittsburgh. There was a plane that went00:05:23
down outside of our city. And then00:05:25
obviously the Pentagon had a plane hit00:05:27
it as well. And it was just a bunch of00:05:28
news and it was crazy. I don't think any00:05:30
of us fully understood what was00:05:31
happening. But I do remember on00:05:33
September 12th, 2001, it felt like our00:05:35
entire country, no matter what you00:05:37
believed, no matter where you were from,00:05:39
we were all together as one. We're00:05:41
unified more than I think I've ever00:05:42
witnessed in my entire 38 years of00:05:46
existing. And I think that is something00:05:47
that a lot of people that were able to00:05:49
live through it who, you know, believe00:05:50
in the good of people instead of the bad00:05:52
of people, we hope that we'll be able to00:05:54
get to that level of unification in our00:05:57
society at some point. Yet again, it's00:05:59
almost like we're chasing that in hopes00:06:01
that we can be uh, you know, I don't00:06:03
want to say everybody has to get along00:06:04
and everybody has to agree, but at least00:06:06
we can move forward without hating each00:06:07
other, which is seemingly what social00:06:09
media has done to us in a way that I00:06:12
don't know if anybody could have00:06:13
predicted whenever we thought that the00:06:14
entire world should be connected in the00:06:16
palm of their hands. Now, it feels like00:06:18
there's a lot of people that get00:06:19
satisfaction as being known as the most00:06:21
something, the most this, the most that.00:06:24
And uh whenever people try to compete on00:06:27
who's the meanest to the other side of00:06:29
the aisle, I think you're going to00:06:30
inevitably run into some chaos happening00:06:32
in our world. And I am not a politics00:06:34
person. I've been dropped into the00:06:36
political world a couple different times00:06:37
by my own mistakes, but also because of00:06:39
my own opinions. And um it's it's a00:06:43
blender over there. and to be a person00:06:46
that wants to go in and stand on your00:06:48
beliefs and try to change the world and00:06:51
have the courage to do so and also00:06:53
welcome and embrace debate in that world00:06:56
with how much anger there is. I think is00:06:58
a pretty admirable trait to have. So00:07:01
although I did not know Charlie Kirk, I00:07:02
certainly saw his clips from afar. I00:07:04
thought he was a crazy person for00:07:07
embracing and welcoming the interactions00:07:10
that he wanted on the topics that he00:07:12
believed so mightily in. But I also00:07:14
believe that he believed in what he was00:07:16
doing was making the world better. And I00:07:18
think the people that are willing to00:07:20
hear the other side and maybe extend a00:07:22
hand and maybe change their own opinion00:07:23
are the people that we should be00:07:24
modeling ourselves after. I am not00:07:26
always right. I am a doofus. I am an00:07:28
idiot that talks about sports, but I00:07:30
love hearing other people's ideas on00:07:32
things. Now, I am not in the politics00:07:34
world, and I know there's much more00:07:35
serious things out there, but in the00:07:36
sports lane that I live in, it is nice00:07:38
to hear the other side. So, when I00:07:40
learned of Charlie Kirk on the internet,00:07:41
and once again, I did not meet him. I00:07:43
did not owe him personally. I thought it00:07:45
was admirable to hear somebody who was00:07:46
so firm in their own beliefs but wanted00:07:48
to hear why other people were against00:07:50
him. So yesterday whenever we see a00:07:53
public execution of this man happen in00:07:54
all of our palms of our hands in real00:07:57
time, you can't help but wonder, damn,00:07:59
first of all, he has a family, he has00:08:01
kids, but also are we a society that's00:08:03
really going to become that? Is that who00:08:04
we are? Is that what we're going to be00:08:07
just strictly because we think that00:08:09
we're better than the other side? It's00:08:12
uh it's become a wild wild time I think00:08:15
in our existence and hopefully yesterday00:08:17
was a pivotal moment for us on this00:08:19
September 11th 2025 to maybe have a00:08:22
September 12th 2001 moment. So that's my00:08:27
thoughts, positive vibes, prayers to his00:08:30
family and friends that have been there.00:08:31
But also I hope to our entire society00:08:33
like yo you can disagree with people.00:08:35
You can disagree with people and you00:08:37
don't have to hate them or have disdain00:08:38
for them forever. You have everybody has00:08:41
different backgrounds. I grew up in00:08:43
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Somebody that00:08:45
grew up in Miami or South Florida is00:08:47
going to have different views on [ __ ] I00:08:49
would assume somebody that grew up in00:08:51
Compton, California, who I've had the00:08:52
chance and opportunity to hang around00:08:54
and get to know people probably have a00:08:55
little bit of a different view on things00:08:56
than maybe people that grew up in00:08:58
Columbus, Ohio. I mean, we're never00:09:00
going to all agree, but we all have to00:09:03
exist. and we might as well try to shake00:09:06
the hand and hear from the other side00:09:08
more so than try to fight them every00:09:10
single time. And I think even though you00:09:12
might not have believed in or felt the00:09:15
same way that Charlie Kirk felt about a00:09:16
lot of things, and I'm not saying00:09:18
anybody on this set agrees with00:09:20
everything that anybody believes in this00:09:23
whole world, we can't just hate people00:09:25
forever because we disagree with one00:09:27
thing or two things that they feel. We00:09:29
got to move forward. We're in this thing00:09:31
