I knew who my Olympian gods were in this pagan religion that many of you profess in the same way, without a doubt. Being a child of the 80s and growing up in the 90s, my must-have-driven cars are almost all contemporary, they are the dominators of their respective categories. When I started doing this job, I felt perpetually indebted to myself, to the person I wanted to become as soon as possible, not yet having had the minimum driving experience I had set for myself from the beginning. I didn't feel worthy of my own respect until I knew what it meant to go pedal to the metal in this very short list of cars. To feel good about myself, I had to experience what it was like to drive them as their designers and testers really intended. My milestones were the 155 DTM, the F40, the Miura, and the 037, respectively the most striking touring car of all time, the most formidable road supercar ever, the most beautiful line ever designed, and my all-time favorite rally champion, the last rear-wheel-drive car to dominate the entire world production.
