marched in Poland's Armed Forces Day00:00:40
Parade as the country flexes the muscles00:00:43
of its rapidly expanding military this00:00:46
Year's parade is the largest since the00:00:48
Cold War featuring state-of-the-art00:00:50
tanks and mobile weapon systems the00:00:52
Polish government is racing to modernize00:00:54
its military now tensions are also00:00:57
rising in the East after soldiers from00:00:59

this is more of a deterrent with the00:01:21
large-scale military spending and build00:01:24

quite heavily with the security forces00:02:16
there at the time when I covered the00:02:18

losing control of its migrant crisis so00:02:29
this was almost two years ago now this00:02:31

this could be a threat to Poland and00:04:22
that these mercenaries may try and come00:04:25
into Poland and take over Poland well00:04:27
who they're referring to here is the00:04:29
Wagner group and there just isn't in my00:04:32
opinion anywhere near enough of them to00:04:35
really cause a major threat to you know00:04:38
taking over the whole country is mainly00:04:40
soldiers they don't have heavy equipment00:04:43
or tanks and and things like that or00:04:45
Advanced Weaponry although they are a00:04:47
threat I'm not gonna say they are not if00:04:50
something did kick off but I don't think00:04:52
it's really much of a match for the the00:04:54

around Europe now they say then that00:12:49
public opinion about the future role of00:12:52
ukrainians in Poland has shifted in the00:12:54
last 12 months they surveyed more than 200:12:57
000 young polls aged 16 to 34. in March00:13:01
22 and then again in May to June 23. and00:13:04
again this is the same sort of pattern00:13:07
we're seeing everywhere people do tend00:13:09
to support ukrainians coming into the00:13:12
country with the assumption that they00:13:14
returned to Ukraine as soon as it00:13:15
becomes safely possible let me just say00:13:18
I think this is very very unlikely for a00:13:21
lot of people sure many ukrainians I00:13:25
think will go back after the war but00:13:27
like a lot of conflicts that we've seen00:13:29
we're going right back into the past a00:13:31
lot don't return a lot decide that they00:13:33
like their life elsewhere better and00:13:36
they decide to stay and these are some00:13:38
of the largest concerns of course this00:13:40
isn't on mainstream media but these are00:13:42
some of the concerns that people are00:13:44
voicing in certain countries so they00:13:46
said what should Poland offer to00:13:48
refugees from Ukraine so in 2022 then 8300:13:53
percent argued that the government00:13:55
should support Ukraine now in 2023 only00:14:00

same with Poland staying neutral so00:14:06
