In this video you can enjoy the cab ride - train drivers' view on Hungarian State Railways (MÁV) train between the Nagykanizsa and Siófok Balaton on the line Budapest – Nagykanizsa – Murakeresztúr line 30 (MÁV) in 4K/60 frames per second. Maximum speed is 120 km/h. The Budapest–Murakeresztúr railway is a cca. 235-kilometre long railway line in Hungary that connects the Hungarian capital city Budapest with Nagykanizsa and Murakeresztúr. South of Murakeresztúr, the railway connects to the Croatian railway system, specifically the M501 railway serving Čakovec. The M501 connects to the Slovene railways at Središče ob Dravi, extending to Pragersko, while the R201 line branching off in Čakovec serves Varaždin. The line is part of the Pan-European Corridor V. The rail line along the south shore of Lake Balaton was built in 1861 as the Budapest – Székesfehérvár – Nagykanizsa railway. Within the Kingdom of Hungary, it was a main line to Adriatic ports. Its current status is an international route to Slovenia and Croatia, but with many intermediate stations, serving the tourist resorts along the lake shore. CORRECTION: the line I marked as going to Kaposvar at 48:45 is the freight-only branch to Mesztegnyo and Somogyszob. The Kaposvar line leaves from Fonyod and can be seen peeling away from the mainline at 1:04:34. I am sorry for the mistake i made.
