00:00:21
Good morning, my darlings. You can't even see me.  Here I am. Oh, probably better that you don't,
00:00:28
actually. and just focus on the view because I am  fresh out of bed pretty much. Welcome to Vlogmas
00:00:36
day 10 quite possibly. I think my brain has got a  little bit of frostbite as you can see. It is the
00:00:45
most woo cold hands. It is the most beautiful  morning here at the grove. I stayed over last
00:00:52
night. Um, it was the Joe Malone Christmas event  here last night and boy oh boy did we have such a
00:01:01
fun evening. They really know how to put on an  exceptional event. So, so much fun. And I did
00:01:09
think I might quite fancy going to the gym this  morning, but then I opened up the windows and
00:01:14
saw this incredible view. I think the last time I  was here it was frosty as well. Um, but not this
00:01:22
beautiful. And it's such a gorgeous place. This  is a massive golf course. But as it's still fairly
00:01:31
early, there's no golfers out yet. So I'm not at  risk of meeting up with a stray golf ball. I'm
00:01:38
actually going to have to put you away cuz my hand  is freezing holding the camera. So I'll catch up
00:01:42
with you when I'm back in the warmth and heading  for the iconic Grove breakfast. Can't wait.
00:02:07
Merry Christmas.
00:02:45
Heat. Hey. Hey. Hey.
00:03:08
A proper good morning, my darlings. I am just  about defrosted, but only just. I feel like
00:03:16
I've got cold all the way to my bones. I think  I was out walking for about an hour and it was
00:03:23
minus one outside. But what a beautiful start to  the day. So, if you watched um yesterday's vlog,
00:03:30
you'll know that I came to the Grove Hotel with  Joe Malone. They've done a massive takeover again
00:03:36
this year. We had the most incredible evening last  night and I'm about to head down for breakfast. I
00:03:42
did a few stretches here in the room this morning  wearing my pajamas with my heatless curls in with
00:03:48
my LED mask on and then I thought instead of  going to the gym I'd go for a nice walk and I feel
00:03:54
really really good for it. Just need to defrost.  Doing my makeup with practically numb fingers
00:03:59
was a little bit tricky. I think I just need the  tiniest bit of dry shampoo. I bought the lovely
00:04:05
uh what's it called? Velvet Amber one from Living  Proof. This is also really good if you just need
00:04:12
a little bit of grit if your hair is maybe a  bit clean. I don't usually have that problem.
00:04:17
The volume is giving Hermione Granger, but I don't  mind. I always think it does look quite nice down,
00:04:22
but um that volume doesn't last unfortunately  and I have to have my hair clipped away from
00:04:27
my face when I'm eating. Anyway, my darlings, I  am ready for my morning coffee. So, let's head
00:04:33
down to breakfast. Just thought I'd capture this  room while there's no one in here. This is where
00:04:37
we had our afternoon tea yesterday and it was so  lovely. A lot of the decor in here is Joe Malone
00:04:45
themed. You can see the boxes under the tree.  They've done a huge huge takeover of the hotel
00:04:52
this year. Um this is a great outfit of the day  mirror. Although I'm so cold I've popped my coat
00:04:57
back on. But I've got my same Lily silk cashmere  that I was wearing yesterday. And then um this
00:05:03
is actually an old Oola Johnson skirt, but I was  going for the Mrs. Claus kind of look. And again,
00:05:09
my um that's the one problem with this coat. The  tie doesn't attach at the back. So you have to
00:05:14
just grab it and thread it through the arm when  you take it off. Um viva boots cuz it was pouring
00:05:19
with rain yesterday. And these honestly just  go with absolutely everything. So how gorgeous
00:05:25
is this room? I love it. Need a big mirror like  this in the entrance hall. That would be great.
00:05:31
Okay, let's go and get Oh, that's a nice idea.  Sparkly Amarillis in a bulb. In a bowl. And then
00:05:38
this fireplace is beautiful as well. There's so  many gorgeous lounge areas in this hotel. How
00:05:44
lovely. It really is such a special place. Look at  this. This is the famous breakfast buffet. Got the
00:05:50
fruit station over here. The full English section.  They'll make your eggs fresh. Tempted to get an
00:05:57
eggs florantine. It's something that I would never  really make for myself at home. All the buns look
00:06:02
delicious. We've got a cereal and nut station  over here. That looks rather lovely. They look
00:06:10
incredible. Peacon maple swirl. Oh my gosh. More  treats. Then we've got a whole shakuterie section
00:06:19
over here. That was such a perfect breakfast.  I just fancied the egg florantine, which is not
00:06:27
something that I usually go for, but um it felt  healthy and indulgent all in allin-one. Um and I
00:06:33
also had that little pumpkin cake, a slice of bri  French toast, and a bowl of yogurt with nuts and
00:06:40
seeds. I think maybe cuz I was eating a little bit  later. Um I was just very very peckish. So feeling
00:06:46
very satisfied. Now I'm just packing away. Sorry,  I'm just doing it with this little bow. I've got
00:06:51
like a waxed thread on this skirt and it's really  cute. So, I'm just packing away my bits and bobs
00:06:57
and I thought I would just highlight a few things  which um I think could be really lovely gifts and
00:07:02
especially I think there is something so lovely  about personalized gifts. So, this is my um you'll
00:07:10
have seen this in the Abu Dhabi vlog because  I think I rummaged through all of the bits in
00:07:14
here on the airplane. This is my technology pouch.  And I keep everything in here from my memory card
00:07:23
readers because I've got the new MacBook which  only has a USBC and I need memory card. So my
00:07:29
memory card reader lives in here. I keep obviously  the phone charger in here. My camera battery
00:07:36
charger is still charging. I normally have a where  have I put it? I normally have a power bank as
00:07:44
well, which comes in very, very handy. And I al,  this is random. This is not really technology,
00:07:50
but I've got a whisk. This is just in case. This  is a little batterypowered whisk if I want to
00:07:56
make a frothy coffee or a matcher. Then I've  got my emergency whisk stash. And just in case
00:08:04
um I'm craving it, there is a little pouch of  matcher in here as well. And some Neuropen. just
00:08:10
the kind of emergency pouch. The pouch itself is  from Elizabeth Scarlet. And I just think that a
00:08:18
personalized makeup bag or pouch is such a sweet  gift idea. It's a really lovely brand. They've got
00:08:25
the most gorgeous embroidery. You can get your  name in or your recipient's name in silver or
00:08:29
in gold. I love the ruffles. you'll have seen um  possibly my big pouches as well which are padded
00:08:37
and almost they've almost got like a a lining  which is a bit water resistant. So, I'll probably
00:08:44
show you when I get home cuz actually they make  really good gifts for people that like to travel
00:08:47
with a lot of liquids. When I'm going abroad,  I'll put my SPFs in them. But because they're
00:08:51
very padded, I also use an Elizabeth Scarlet pouch  for keeping my drone and camera equipment in when
00:08:58
I travel. And it just means that when I'm at home  and I'm deciding what I need to take with me for
00:09:04
certain trips, I know what's in each pouch. So,  I can grab my technology pouch. I can grab my
00:09:10
hair pouch. This one here has got all of my hair  essentials in it. So, I'll keep my shampoo and
00:09:16
conditioner, my dry shampoo, my um hair oil, and  the amount of times I've come away and forgotten
00:09:23
a hairbrush. But by keeping it all in this pouch,  this one is more subtly um personalized with JI
00:09:29
here. I love the green velvet, beautiful sun  embroidery, and it opens up nice and wide. I
00:09:35
can see everything, all of my products, and then  it just zips up to keep everything neat and tidy.
00:09:44
And you've got this little uh handle on the top as  well. So, I'll grab that pouch. I'll grab my tech
00:09:49
pouch. I'll grab my drone if I need it. My liquids  pouch. It just means that I feel super organized
00:09:56
when I am traveling and for me that makes a  really really big difference. So I'll leave
00:10:00
the Elizabeth Scarlet page link down below. Um if  you fancy treating yourself or a loved one to one
00:10:05
of these I think gifts for daughters, for friends,  for moms. I just think it's very very sweet. If
00:10:12
you know someone as well that likes to change  handbags quite a lot, it's quite a good idea to
00:10:16
just have you know your essentials that you always  need with you. For me, that's a torch, my camera,
00:10:22
a spare battery, and it just means that whatever  handbag I'm taking, I just grab the pouch, and I
00:10:28
know that I've got all my essentials with me, and  it means I can rotate my handbags far more easily.
00:10:33
Oh, also in here. Okay, this set of earphones,  they are from a brand called Raycon. I again,
00:10:40
I mentioned these on the Abu Dhabi vlog,  so I was wearing them on the airplane.
00:10:45
They are very jazzy little earphones and they're  not they're not actually normal. Let they are they
00:10:52
are special. Let me show you. Okay, I have to tell  you I feel a little bit like Oh, sorry. My music
00:10:57
is playing. As long as you're mine from Cynthia  of Wicked. I feel like Britney Spears, especially
00:11:04
when I just wear one of these. It's because I  touched it. My music started playing again. So,
00:11:08
these are the Raycon Essential Open Earbuds. And  what I love about these is if I show you closeup,
00:11:16
um I went for the lilac color because I thought  it was very very jazzy. This little bit here is
00:11:21
the speaker, but it kind of goes like do you know  um those really jazzy you can get like spectacle
00:11:27
versions. They go you can hear the music but  your ear is still open. So, if um for example,
00:11:35
you're going on a taxi journey, like I came here  yesterday and I I didn't want to be horrendously
00:11:42
antisocial and not be, you know, able to hear the  driver if he asked any questions or was chatting,
00:11:47
but at the same time, I did need to do a little  bit of proof editing of uh the Vlogmas video. So,
00:11:52
these are perfect because you can still hear the  outside world, but you can listen to your music,
00:11:58
listen to your podcast, or do your editing,  whatever you need to do. So, if perhaps you like
00:12:03
to listen to music when you're out on a walk, um,  or you like to just kind of be working on the go,
00:12:09
you could be taking work calls while you're out  on a walk, but you don't want to get completely
00:12:14
discombobulated and switched off from the outside  world. These are absolutely amazing for that.
00:12:20
They're also really, really lightweight. The case  itself is super lightweight. It charges with um,
00:12:28
my USB iPhone charger. They're actually waterproof  and have a mega mega long battery as well. And
00:12:36
the best part is they are super um affordable  comparative to other earphones that offer the
00:12:44
kind of tech that these do. I have taken calls on  these before and I have to say from the recipient
00:12:50
point of view the quality is really noticeably  better because it actually by some magic gets
00:12:57
rid of any background noise and gives extra  clarity to your voice plus the fact that you
00:13:03
can still hear what's going on around you while  you can also hear. So, it's more like having a
00:13:08
real conversation with someone that's just walking  next to you because you're fully aware as opposed
00:13:13
to being completely plugged into your call. And  I personally, as someone who likes to connect
00:13:18
with the outside world, I personally much prefer  that. So, yeah, these are what I've been using for
00:13:23
um car journeys, for walking out doing calls and  things like that um from Raycon. They because they
00:13:31
are such a great price point as well. I will leave  these linked down below, too. And I feel that they
00:13:36
would make an excellent um really really nice  stocking filler. The music quality is amazing.
00:13:42
The battery I'm so so impressed with. So, I'm  going to pop those back in my gorgeous little
00:13:47
pouch. Such nice gift ideas. I feel like that's a  couple of really thoughtful things that you could
00:13:52
gift someone this Christmas. If you are tempted  by any of those bits, then do be sure to check
00:13:58
um the links in my description box. you'll always  find any discount codes there. For example,
00:14:03
with my Raycon um earbuds, there is the  link itself will actually instantly get
00:14:09
you 30% off. I think it makes them around £44,  which is absolutely incredible. For my pouches,
00:14:15
I will leave each of the individual styles.  These two, I'll leave them linked down below.
00:14:19
And like I said, when I get home, I will show  you um my other ones that I highly recommend,
00:14:25
but these are the two that I brought with me,  keeping me very, very organized. So sadly, we're
00:14:30
actually leaving the Grove very, very soon. But  um after quickly dropping all my bits off at home,
00:14:37
we are going to be heading back to Adterbury  to where our holiday cottages are because I've
00:14:42
realized I've still not really explained what's  happening at cottage number one. Um and the
00:14:47
carpets went down yesterday and they're finishing  off this morning. So, I'm going to be able to give
00:14:52
you the big reveal and finally tell you exactly  what secret we have been keeping for so so long.
00:15:00
So, let's get going. Just wrapping up all of the  goodies that were so generously left in the room.
00:15:07
And I just had to show you this one because I feel  like this is going to be the scent of Christmas.
00:15:11
Joe Malone Ginger Biscuit. They had this in a  perfume last year, this one here. Um, but this
00:15:17
year they've also bought it out as the candle  and it smells so good. It's sweet. It's warm.
00:15:23
It's cinnamony. I just think that bottle fragrance  avalanche the bottle. Look at that beautiful color
00:15:30
in the light. It's absolutely stunning. Really  beautiful ambery. There's just such a gorgeous
00:15:35
warmth to it. And this candle, ginger biscuit  candle. What a lovely gift. And yeah, as I said,
00:15:42
oh, I've just noticed that is exactly how it looks  at the front of the hotel. I'll show you now.
00:15:46
They've got a bow at the top with the Joe  Malone gifts. Joe Malone van is parked up
00:15:50
here. It really is such a lovely collaboration.  And if you didn't see my full room tour yesterday,
00:15:56
um it's just been I've been so lucky to  have such an incredible room. Um I mean,
00:16:03
this is just the living area. Obviously, it's a  bit discombobulated now because I've slept in it.
00:16:09
Oh, it looks a little bit messy. I always like to  leave hotel rooms looking fairly neat and tidy.
00:16:14
Um, this unit at the end of the bed is a TV.  How cool. Definitely need to recreate this at
00:16:20
home. I know I keep saying that, but we really  do. My Oh, there's a doggy. Oh, it's a sausage
00:16:24
with a fluffy tail. Oh, I'm having the best day  ever. Can you see that little angel? So cute,
00:16:32
but so frosty on my tiny little paws. That was  such a beautiful walk this morning. Um, and then
00:16:37
the bathroom. Just left my robe in the tub. It's  just I mean, my bath last night was heavenly.
00:16:54
Okay, I am home again. That was such a funny  journey because honestly the taxi driver must
00:17:01
have thought I was going a little bit mad  because I was listening to um my therapist
00:17:08
ghosted me podcast which is Joan McNal and Vogue  Williams. Um that was such a bad Irish accent. It
00:17:16
was Joan and Vogue. It's their podcast they've  had for years and years and I was catching up
00:17:20
on a few back episodes. I was just listening to  it while also doing some work. Um, and those two
00:17:26
ladies are so funny that I just kept bursting out  laughing and obviously everything else in the car
00:17:33
was completely silent. So, I think the driver  thinks I'm completely bonkers. He wouldn't be
00:17:39
entirely wrong. This is a new brand of tea and I  think it's got like chaga mushroom in it as well
00:17:45
as ginger, lemongrass, and other bits and bobs.  I wanted to show you, like I mentioned earlier,
00:17:51
how I just organize my entire life pretty much in  Elizabeth Scarlet bags. You can see on the inside,
00:17:57
this is what I meant about it being almost  like wipe clean. So, if you did take your
00:18:01
travel liquids with you, and it's got loads of  different um pockets in it. I keep my laser hair
00:18:08
removal device and all of the various apparatus  that come with it, which is just basically the
00:18:13
plug in this one. As I mentioned downstairs, I  keep my drone in one. I keep all of my gel nails
00:18:20
in another. If you just like to be organized, then  these pouches are the best. Elizabeth Scarlet also
00:18:27
do really beautiful eye masks. They do loads of  really lovely travel pieces. So, definitely have a
00:18:34
look at their website. I have got changed into um  something very practical. I will confess to you,
00:18:40
I've actually had these leggings on since first  thing this morning. I put them on for the frosty
00:18:45
walk and then I was so cold, as I mentioned, I  was so cold that I actually ended up putting on
00:18:52
my skirt over the top and then thinking, "No one's  going to know if I just keep my leggings on." So,
00:18:56
these have been on me since 7:00 a.m. Um, and  I'm still wearing the same Kashmir top as I was
00:19:01
before. This is a really nice fleece. I think  you've seen me wearing the cream version from
00:19:07
Holland Cooper. Little leather toggle. Um, the  button detail. Great layering piece. Great for
00:19:13
great for dog walks. Great for um well today  it's for furniture moving. Just what you want
00:19:20
to be doing when you've got your Christmas party  starting in 6 hours. Nad. Um but I'm going to
00:19:25
head over to the cottages. I really have to help  Charlie because we've got loads of furniture that
00:19:30
we've been storing up in the store that needs  to now go into cottage number one. And then I
00:19:36
will fully explain what is going on and um yeah,  show you around. Can't wait. So, uh, I feel like
00:19:45
possibly my lovely coat I was wearing earlier is  not suitable. Oh, let me just quickly show you as
00:19:50
well. I've got a new pair of glasses. I'm really  loving um, to be honest, Smart Buy glasses were
00:19:57
actually really generous and they sent quite a  few pairs and I'm just loving them. So, this pair,
00:20:02
Dolce and Gabbana, they've got a really beautiful  swoop and they're a cat eye. And I think that this
00:20:09
shape is quite good for me. I think I suit ones  that go up like this. Um, I just feel a bit more
00:20:17
confident when I'm driving with these glasses on.  My vision like longterm seeing into the distance,
00:20:24
it's still fairly sharp. It's like minus0 point  something or other, but I do sometimes feel a
00:20:29
little bit of strain. So, I'm going to drive  in these. Okay, let's get going. Let's go.
00:20:41
Okay, just before I head out to the cottages, um  I'm just I just went to collect the post for the
00:20:48
day and we've got our delivery of Smith and Mson  flowers. So, I thought I'd quickly get these in
00:20:56
some water. Like I said a few days ago, I think  a flower subscription would make such a nice
00:21:04
Christmas gift. And these are grown on a family  farm in the UK. And um at this time of year,
00:21:11
it's liies. In the summer, we had roses. We had  peies in late spring. And we have tulip season
00:21:17
to look forward to. That'll be maybe that will  be next. Um I just love tulip season so much. I
00:21:23
don't really have time to arrange these right  now. So, what I'm going to do is hack away at
00:21:30
the bottom of them. And I'm just going to get them  in some water. Quickly removing the lower leaves.
00:21:38
And I'm actually going to leave these here in the  kitchen quite close to the ara because the warmth
00:21:44
will almost put them into fast forward mode.  And they may even start to open by um by the
00:21:52
time I get back from the cottages. Not 100%, but  they might do. And the frequency of these flowers
00:21:58
is spot on cuz it was only yesterday that I  actually composted our last bunch of flowers
00:22:04
from Smith and Mson. So that is perfect. I love  them. My favorite liies. Um I have to be honest,
00:22:12
liies are actually not my favorite flower. Um, but  my favorite of the liies are the ones that don't
00:22:18
have the stamon in. If they do have stamon, I must  confess, I take them through to a drawing room,
00:22:23
uh, dining room and put them on the table there  because that stamon really stains and it's just
00:22:28
risky business. My next delivery that I want  to unbox quickly before I go out is from Laura
00:22:34
Mercier. And the reason I'd like to unbox it is  because I have a feeling there may be something
00:22:40
edible in here. This to me, I mean, I could  be setting myself up for disappointment here,
00:22:46
but this to me looks like a box that might contain  sweet treats. And then there's another box here,
00:22:52
which I think may contain something rather lovely  from Laura Mercier. So, let's have a little look
00:22:57
inside. It's so beautiful. We actually, I  don't know if you remember, if you watched
00:23:03
the wedding vlogs, I set up little Laura Mercier  goodie bags and stations in our guests bathrooms
00:23:12
when they stayed in the holiday cottages and for  friends and family members. And amber vanilla is
00:23:18
such a gorgeous flavor. This is their bath,  honey bath. I don't know if I've tried this.
00:23:26
Using the honey dipper, remove the desired amount  and swirl into warm running bath water. That
00:23:33
sounds very nice. And this honey dipper is very  useful. That is a gorgeous gift set. Thank you,
00:23:39
Laura Mercier. And you know what? I think this  is actually makeup in here, not um sweet treats
00:23:44
because it's got a peticissery menu of the  Prime Flawless Treat Duo, a setting powder,
00:23:54
the Caviar Cravings Eye Essentials. Oh no. Has it  been left upside down? Oh. Oh, I don't know. Is
00:24:04
this edible or is it not edible? The suspense is  killing me. I think it's not edible. Darn it. We
00:24:15
have got in here the Indulgent icons setting  powder and puff. This is actually one of my
00:24:23
favorite alltime powders. It really keeps your  skin glowing while you um can also get rid of
00:24:28
any areas that you don't want to be shiny. Creme  de la creme eyeshadow trio. These are such lovely
00:24:36
little stocking fillers. How adorable. We've got  I thought this was a real croissant, but it's
00:24:42
actually a candle. How cute is that? Smells very,  very sweet. In a little Laura Mercier pastry bag,
00:24:52
we got some cute little matches to light  the candle. And lastly, caviar cravings eye
00:24:58
essentials. A little liner and mascara. This  packaging is so cute. How lovely. Thank you,
00:25:05
Laura Mercier. Beautiful delivery. Okay, now  that that's all unpacked, let's finally get
00:25:11
to the cottages. I feel like I've been saying  it all day, but now it's actually time to go.
00:25:48
Okay, my darlings, this is very, very  exciting. Welcome to number one Chapel Lane.
00:25:55
I feel like you're getting um very unflattering  overhead lights. I can't I can't get in the camera
00:26:00
there. So Oh, we'll have to ho it up a little  bit. No, I I need you to come and be the star
00:26:07
of the show because this is a project um that  Charlie's been working on for the last six months
00:26:14
or so. And since April. Wow. So I mentioned a  couple of videos ago that obviously we've got
00:26:21
Storop Cottages next door, number two and three  Chapel Lane. And um it was very fertuitous that
00:26:27
number one came up for sale kind of it it became  available for us to purchase and we had always
00:26:34
had an idea that we'd love to do. Um and when  this place came available we thought right maybe
00:26:41
this is this is the one. So do you want to talk  about the renovation and then we'll reveal what
00:26:46
this place is for. Yeah. So, as you say, like  there's three Thatch causes in a row, and it
00:26:51
just organically happened that number two became  available after we bought number three originally.
00:26:56
And both of those are obviously holiday cottages,  as you know, straw causes. And we did initially
00:27:01
think about this third one as another, but the  the the reality is both the cottages next door are
00:27:06
very busy, but really the more demand we're seeing  is for a a bigger cottage. So really it would make
00:27:12
more sense for us to save our money and and plan  hopefully in the future for a more familyfriendly
00:27:17
Thatch cottage to form as part of short costures.  But when this became available and we knew the old
00:27:22
chap that used to live here really nice guy and  it basically became a bit too much for him up and
00:27:26
down the stairs. I'm sure he won't mind me saying  that. when it became available like look this is
00:27:29
too good an opportunity not to have all three and  your brother Josie has a half brother who um is a
00:27:36
bit older and he lives still where you're from in  in Ross on white Heraffordshire and as you know
00:27:43
as your mom's getting older as he's getting older  we've sensed for a while haven't we that really
00:27:48
he's nearly 2 hours away from us uh which sounds  crazy cuz it's not that far and it would be nice
00:27:54
for him to live nearby so this kind of snowballed  quite quickly didn't it? And we're like, actually,
00:27:58
this would be amazing. Wouldn't it be amazing if  we were able to buy the cottage to renovate it
00:28:02
and to have him live here? Now, he doesn't know  this yet. He doesn't watch your channel. It's
00:28:06
a surprise, but he will find out tomorrow. Yeah.  And yeah, it's I would say it's been it's I mean,
00:28:13
we got it. That doesn't know that. I mean, I don't  talk about Jamie that much on the channel. Um,
00:28:19
but I feel like we should say that Jamie does have  learning difficulties. Yeah. So, he's your half
00:28:25
brother. Yeah. and he's he's not had the easiest  life. No. Um and Charlie and I are in a fortunate
00:28:33
position that we are able to renovate and help.  Um so it's not like Well, look, I mean, look,
00:28:40
I think I I'll I'll speak on your behalf in that  we share as much of our lives with our channel
00:28:45
with the channel and our lovely audience as we  can. Like in anyone's life, even as of right now,
00:28:50
you and I have got other family things that are  going on that are not straightforward. No life's
00:28:55
perfect. We're very fortunate with our jobs, very  fortunate where we live and very fortunate to have
00:28:59
each other and we feel very lucky but equally  we're not things are not perfect even in our
00:29:04
life at the moment and and the world as not to  go down a whole tangent but it is a tricky time.
00:29:09
So your we don't talk about your brother because  you know we don't want to share too much that he
00:29:13
wouldn't want. um he's super easy goinging, but  yeah, he he's obviously my brother-in-law and a
00:29:18
second brother to me and we wanted to help him  and this project has been about that. We benefit
00:29:26
because he's going to be nearer us. We can we  can see him more regularly. We can help out when
00:29:30
there are those sort of episodes. It's not for  us to go into what his learning difficulties are,
00:29:34
but the reality is he is on heavily on the  spectrum. He has always had a job. He works very
00:29:39
hard. He gets up at 5:00 a.m. every day. Works  long hours. He's actually now an HUTV driver,
00:29:44
which was always his dream. It's taken him quite  a long time to get there because he's fantastic
00:29:48
driver, but as you can imagine, the theory side of  it was very difficult with his dyslexia. And so,
00:29:53
we're very proud of him. And this project has been  about for me anyway, about hopefully bringing him
00:29:59
closer to you, your mom, and me and having him  on our doorstep. Um, and it's it's brilliant that
00:30:04
he's hopefully cuz Adterbury where our cottages  are even if a house was available in our village.
00:30:09
I'm not sure our village there's enough going  on for him cuz he's a single man. He's in his
00:30:13
40s but you know he's not a big drinker but it's  nice. He likes going down the pub or whatever.
00:30:17
This village has three walkable pubs within 60  seconds. A coffee shop which we obviously love
00:30:23
supporting. A hairdressers if he wants his hair  done he gets his he'll get his hair done where I
00:30:27
do in Chipping Norton and um and then a village  shop. And then obviously it also has more going
00:30:32
on in Bambbury which is 8 minutes from here if you  want you know a night out or whatever. Are there
00:30:37
clubs in Bambbury? I think there must be there  must be I think Bry get actually because it's
00:30:42
a really the parts of Bry are really nice market  town. Obviously we benefit for the train station
00:30:47
but anyway long- winded it's been a project where  we've we've we've essentially had to we approached
00:30:53
it where we're like okay we're on more of a budget  than we are for the other two costages. Um because
00:30:57
of course Jamie appreciates different things  to what maybe our guests next door would be.
00:31:00
But actually as it snowballed we thought no  come on let's do this properly. So we've we
00:31:05
haven't quite rewired it but we put a lot of new  wiring in. We put a lot of new plumbing in. It is
00:31:10
rewiring. We haven't rewired the whole house.  That's a huge expense. Um we're lucky that the
00:31:15
roof was reached when we did next door. So today  the carpets went down and suddenly it feels more
00:31:21
like a house. There's still a few things left to  do. Um, the kitchen is the one thing that we left
00:31:25
from before and we've kind of spruced up like  in a dream scenario with what we love and our
00:31:31
aesthetic. We of course would have loved to put a  new kitchen in, but it's we had quotes and it was
00:31:34
just very expensive. So, it's actually been fun to  do it on a slightly smaller budget. You don't have
00:31:41
to spend hundreds of thousands of pounds to make  a cottage look beautiful. I think what would be
00:31:45
really nice is if we um I'm going to change my  battery and then we'll give you a little tour,
00:31:50
a very quick tour, and then um as we go around,  I will also insert photos on the screen of what
00:31:57
it looked like before Charlie started project  managing the renovation. So, um yeah, let's
00:32:02
let's have a little tour. So, this is the living  room where we were just chatting with you. So,
00:32:07
what have you done in this room, darling? So, in  here, we've we've ripped everything out. I guess
00:32:11
the key thing in here is it's it's a space that  he'll use a lot. And this all three cottages are
00:32:17
quite similar layouts, second floor and third  floor, but the downstairs are very different
00:32:21
in all three. And I always thought this one would  lend well to being somewhere for someone to live
00:32:26
fulltime, albeit the ones next door are still a  nice home, but they're quite small lounges. This
00:32:31
is quite a big living space. So, this is obviously  not fully furnished. We've put a stove in which
00:32:36
is a big thing which you know to help him with  bills and also you know a stove just brings so
00:32:41
much warmth into the room. So have kindly given  us this stove. This is the country one. Oh so
00:32:49
we have the country No, no it's not. It's the  island one. We have the island three which is
00:32:55
the big one in our lounge and the island two in  our bedroom. So this is the first time you've seen
00:33:00
the smaller one. It's such a nice stove. It's just  in classic black. hasn't been cured yet. And um
00:33:07
that's going to be really something for him. Mhm.  Then Yeah. Then obviously then to be honest, we've
00:33:12
been reusing things that we've either had at the  cottages before or, you know, and and elevated.
00:33:18
Your mom found this on Etsy or eBay. TV's going  to go on there. We've got a coffee table, I think,
00:33:24
an old Neptune coffee table, which will look  really nice. And then a sofa's coming in here.
00:33:27
Mhm. Uh which is a sofa bed. Um, the thing I can't  wait to get up, but I don't know where it's going
00:33:32
to go is, as we said, Josie's brother is an HTV  driver and he's obsessed. This is a signed Eddie
00:33:38
Stobar print. Signed by who? A driver or Eddie?  By Eddie Snow. No way. He's no longer around,
00:33:44
right? Can you explain the lamp behind you?  He also has an obsession with lava lamps. So,
00:33:49
um, I got him a lava lamp. That's awesome. So,  yeah, I think we hopefully we're going to get
00:33:53
the sofa here tomorrow. I don't know whether we've  had new carpet in today, which is a local company.
00:33:58
It's an artificial sizer, which is what we've got  next door. Nice. Which is hardwearing and it's
00:34:04
carpet's carpet. It's easy enough to clean. Can  you just talk about what's hidden in the beams?
00:34:08
Yeah. So, I took me a while to figure out what  these are, but these are like why. Sorry. They're
00:34:13
all loads of old coins and basically what we think  is the previous owner wanted to keep an eye on
00:34:19
the cracks. So, obviously, if you put a coin in  there and then it falls out, you know, the cracks
00:34:24
got bigger. M um I mean there's nothing to worry  about. They're solid oak, but I thought I'd leave
00:34:31
them in there for a bit of character. Okay, your  2 minutes is up. Got a nice big mirror. Next room.
00:34:35
Gorgeous. Pot gray in Morton. Nice. Okay, show us  the kitchen. So the hallway here, we've got a nice
00:34:42
runner which will be once, as I say, we still have  Sorry, I said not that. No. So we still have like
00:34:50
a week and a half's worth of work left here. So,  this area is still where there's a bit more of a
00:34:55
building work going on. Hence, leaving this down,  but it has lovely old terra cotta tiles in here,
00:34:59
which I like. Yeah. Um, I think the kitchen's  really starting to look quite homely. Yeah,
00:35:05
it's a lovely kitchen. Yeah. So, we've before  it was silver sort of quite um old-fashioned
00:35:12
handles. Question, just cuz it's even more obvious  on camera than it is in real life, can we replace
00:35:16
the light bulbs in these with a slightly warmer  tone? Could do. Yeah. Yeah. Cuz it's very clinical
00:35:20
in here. Yeah, could do. I mean, it's important  to have a bright kitchen, but definitely. Yeah,
00:35:24
but it's just giving blue rather than giving.  Um, we've replaced all the window furniture.
00:35:27
We actually had to replace that window cuz it was  totally rotten. And now it's beautiful. So, that's
00:35:31
a nice oak window now. The tiles were already  here, which I actually really quite like. I love
00:35:36
them. We've put a new sink in. We've kept the old  worktop. Look, the worktop's not my favorite, but
00:35:41
I think our hope would be if we can get our heads  down, we'll maybe get your brother a new kitchen
00:35:45
in 5 or 10 years, unless someone's watching  that wants to give us a new one. But you've
00:35:48
changed these. Yeah. Oh, you put nice cutlery  in there. So, home cuter. Oh, he's a lucky. So,
00:35:54
we had that left over because when we discovered  Charing cutlery, which to be honest is another
00:35:57
level. I was like, so we put the so home in a  cupboard and he's got that. Nice. Um, and yeah,
00:36:04
he's got an oven, fridge, freezer, which currently  where he lives, he has a small fridge, like an
00:36:08
under counter fridge. He doesn't have a freezer.  So, having a freezer, as we know, with the cost of
00:36:13
eating and stuff will be a game changer. New  sink, so that looks nice. And yeah, in here
00:36:18
it still needs a final decoration. All the light  switches are from Corston Architectural. Beautiful
00:36:23
and and as are the handles and stuff on here. Very  nice. We have some lovely light fittings from Jim
00:36:28
Lawrence. They kindly gave us a discount um on  those which was kind of them. Um and then these
00:36:34
this window furniture in here is Jim Lawrence  which just it's just such good quality. And
00:36:39
then we've got um coen window furniture elsewhere  in the cottage. Nice. Cute that he can see his
00:36:45
wreath on the door. Yeah. And a nice little  seating right there. This this is very much
00:36:49
where you have to use your vision in here. Um,  but this has been quite a big change in here.
00:36:54
The acoustics are awful. We've got a skylight in  because there it was very dark in here before. It
00:36:58
was like a plastic roof. It's just a storage space  really, isn't it? Well, so we've got oak and rose
00:37:02
coming are kindly making us a boot rack. So, he'll  have like shoes up to the ceiling here. Fantastic.
00:37:08
We've got a nice oak strip that will run here  with little pegs for coats. I was thinking we put
00:37:13
a piece of artwork here and then he can have his  vacuum cleaner plugged in here or even like a full
00:37:16
length mirror there. Well, there's going to be  I don't think so cuz there's going to be a glass
00:37:22
glass door here. I don't think you'd have a mirror  just beyond the glass door. No, I didn't realize
00:37:25
there was going to be this door's got going to be  a glass door so that it lets light in cuz this was
00:37:29
just a normal door before and the kitchen's so  much darker. Obviously, it's it's dusk at the
00:37:34
moment, but copper pipe here for hanging pans,  which will look quite nice. Um, the door is going
00:37:40
to get painted the same as this all the same straw  top straw top green that we've got, which is vera
00:37:46
green. I'd say that's low priority. It looks quite  nice as it is. It's just primed. It needs to be
00:37:50
painted. Needs to be painted. And do you want to  show the patio area quickly? Mhm. There it is. So,
00:37:55
this is his little patio garden area, which is low  maintenance, which is the key thing cuz he's not
00:38:00
got a lot of time. He's not got a green thumb. No.  Lovely. All right, mate. You're on 3 minutes. All
00:38:08
right, we go upstairs. To be honest, stairs are  something I would have loved to have replaced. got
00:38:12
mad on them. But budgeting wise, we we decided to  keep them. Carpet looks great up here. Sure does.
00:38:19
You're going to have to have a bit of imagination  cuz the bedroom is no bed yet. But um good job,
00:38:24
Jamie. Also likes green. Some nice curtains.  Got all the nice old light plaster, which is
00:38:28
great. Paul, our fantastic plumber, created, this  was actually a wardrobe, but we took some of the
00:38:35
wardrobe space for the shower, which was a really  good idea. And then we created some nice shelving
00:38:40
here. Yeah. So that's going to look really nice.  And then his bed open in here. And he's quite
00:38:45
lucky really cuz they're not the highest bed  wardrobes, but it's a lot of space. Yeah. Look,
00:38:52
it's a lot of space. Has it got any hanging space?  Yeah. Hanging space. That's fantastic storage.
00:38:58
When you compare the amount of storage he's got  now, this is just incredible. This room and the
00:39:02
lounge are like the size of where he lives now.  So it's going to be hopefully fit for him a lot
00:39:07
more space. M. Um, so that's that. Then I think  we should bring him up to here when we tell him
00:39:15
that it's his house cuz we're going to bring him  in here tomorrow into the cottage as though it's
00:39:20
like another Airbnb. And then we should bring him  in here. I'll set a secret camera up and then he
00:39:27
will see we're going to film it for YouTube. He  will see a picture of him and his boys and then
00:39:33
you could say something like, "Do you think all  your stuff will fit in that wardrobe, Benj?" and
00:39:37
then see see what he says. Um, do you like the  Grumpy Pig artwork? We've got one next door. I
00:39:43
bought them as a pair, but I never used the second  one, so I thought that would be Where did you get
00:39:49
that? Where do you want to say? Where did you get  that? Our website. That's amazing. Yeah, I bought
00:39:54
them as a pair, but the other one is next door.  Yeah, it's called We Grumpy. Um, the room I'm
00:39:59
most happy with is the bathroom. Yeah. Yeah. So,  this bathroom was just a was a had a shower, but
00:40:04
it's been completely jued. It's incredible now. It  feels like a hotel bathroom. Cornstone kindly gave
00:40:10
us the floor tiles and the shower tiles, which  I love. We use these shower tiles in our flat in
00:40:15
London. They are amazing. This is all Burlington,  which we paid full price for. I didn't, you know,
00:40:20
no collabs here. No collabs here. Would have loved  to have wor them, but they gorgeous stuff. This is
00:40:24
great storage. Put that in there. Um, Jim Lawrence  lights. Yeah. Um, which just we've got these
00:40:31
bathroom lights in all three costume now. Um, and  then it is configuration wise come in though cuz
00:40:36
it's I do think it looks really I love that. Yeah,  that he's got a really good quality toilet which
00:40:45
was meant for our house but it wasn't the right  size. Blue. That is a nice toilet. Paul's done a
00:40:50
good job of tiling the sill. Oh, and I think the  design of the shower is quite nice because you've
00:40:56
got the towel rail here. Look. And it makes so  much more sense. So many bathrooms, the tower
00:41:01
rails away from the shower. Is it gold? Yeah, I'm  jealous of this house. It's awesome. Like you're
00:41:07
showering and then the only challenge is Jamie's  a little bit shorter than me. This shower is fine
00:41:11
for me, but this is the challenge of the cottages  that we have. If you were 6T, you'd be here. Um,
00:41:17
but um yeah, so it's such a nice bathroom. It's  It's teeny weeny, but it's perfect for one person.
00:41:25
Yeah. I mean, perfect for two people. He loves  fishing, so I thought those he'd like those. Yeah.
00:41:30
Um, awesome. I'd have to go on my tiptoes for this  mirror. Okay. And then the final F element. Anyone
00:41:39
that is familiar with the layout of our cottages  will be getting deja vu right now. This is this
00:41:44
this is a tighter staircase than next door. Like  you kind of have to go up on your hands. You do.
00:41:51
By the way, all the paints Edward Bull, a lot of  which we had left over from other projects. Great.
00:41:56
So this is uh this is either Olympian green or  pea green. I can't remember. Nice lamb. Is that so
00:42:03
home? Yeah. So this this was so home. We had this  in our snug at home, but we're we're reusing our
00:42:07
snug, so I thought he could have that. Mhm. This  this he's got your brother's got um four boys,
00:42:12
hasn't he? Which we collection of children. We  love our nephews, but it's quite complicated, not
00:42:17
going to lie. Four boys, a lot of cost and a lot  of um energy. Yeah, let's say. So, um, when they
00:42:24
come and stay, cuz they don't live with him, when  they come and stay, we're going to have two single
00:42:28
beds up here. Mhm. And then I think some sort of  small chest of drawers, and then that will work
00:42:33
quite nicely there, too. Lovely. Cuz it is quite  a dark room otherwise. And I think we need to find
00:42:38
a chest of drawers there as well. Mhm. But it's  a good space. It's a good guest room. Just the
00:42:43
astronaut as well. What? Yeah, that was from our  house. I think they got it with a packer send out
00:42:50
or something. Yeah, something like that. Great.  Well, thank you for the tour. Excited to see what
00:42:56
Jay thinks. Okay, we are in cottage number two  next door. Um, and there's actually no room for a
00:43:05
Christmas tree in the living room in this cottage.  As Charlie said, they're all different layouts.
00:43:11
So, Charlie's actually got a real tree in a little  pot here. Um, and we've got it here in the kind of
00:43:19
conservatory area, which is really cute. So, it's  a bit smaller. So, I need to just cherry pick some
00:43:24
of the more petite charms and get this decorated.  It's nice to have a real tree. the hedgehog.
00:43:56
Okay, it's a very cute woodland nature themed  tree in here. We've got the hedgehogs. We've got
00:44:02
the defender. We've got the pine cones. So many  of our favorites. It looks very sweet. I mean,
00:44:08
it's I wouldn't I don't know if I'd be thrilled if  it was my only tree in my actual home, but I think
00:44:14
for a holiday cottage. Ooh, spotted a chicken.  Then it's absolutely perfect. Where can our be?
00:44:19
Oh, yeah. That's so cool. Um, final chicken can go  down here. I love the little golden chickens. All
00:44:27
right, we've got to get home because our lovely  chef, Nina, who's cooking for us tonight, is going
00:44:32
to be arriving at ours very shortly. So, let's  go. Oh my goodness, I look like I've been dragged
00:44:38
through a hedge backwards. Good job. I've got a  few hours to um get ready for tonight's party.
00:44:44
As I mentioned earlier, it is our team Christmas  party tonight. So, we've got 1 2 3 4 5 6 eight of
00:44:52
us going to be here at the house tonight. Um can't  wait. And I'm especially excited for the food. So,
00:44:59
we've got a really lovely localish chef, um,  Nenah coming to cook for us. I will leave
00:45:05
Nah's Instagram down below in case you come to the  Cotswwells and you want to have a really special
00:45:09
evening or if you're local. I think she travels  quite a lot as well. Um, and she just creates the
00:45:15
most exceptional dishes. Um, and you don't have  to worry about anything when it's your party. She
00:45:22
takes care of everything. I've been watching  her Instagram stories drooling today because
00:45:27
um our dessert is cardamom poached pear puff  pastry tartletts with a hot chocolate sauce
00:45:34
and she's been prepping them today and I've seen  on her stories the prep and it looks amazing. So
00:45:39
they do most of the prep um before coming here  and then the food will be finished off here in
00:45:44
our kitchen and um then served which will be so  lovely. So, let me um talk through what we're
00:45:51
going to have on the menu. Every year we print  out cute little menus so everyone can see what
00:45:57
they are having and I've got all the menus from  the last 5 years of our team Christmas dinners
00:46:03
in a drawer in there and it's really nice to  look through um each year. So, Nenina has a
00:46:10
lot of very similar kind of priorities to what  we do. So really championing incredible quality,
00:46:15
lots of organic and local seasonal produce. So  most if not all of what she's sourced uh for
00:46:22
tonight's dinner has been sourced locally and it's  all very seasonal and lovely. So are you ready
00:46:28
to hear what we're having tonight? My mouth will  start to water as I talk through this. So for our
00:46:34
starters, we're having a winter harvest noky. I  love noky. Noky with pumpkin. Oh, and by the way,
00:46:42
first there are going to be canopes. And canopes  are my favorite thing in the whole world. Little
00:46:46
nibbly bits of yumminess. Can't wait. So, winter  harvest noky. A noky with pumpkin, gorgonola,
00:46:54
macadamia nut, and thyme is what we'll be enjoying  as our starter. I've actually not had a proper
00:46:59
meal since breakfast this morning, and I'm now  okay with that because I'm going to eat so much
00:47:05
later. The main dish is called the U tide feast  and it's a brazed beef rib, crispy cubed potatoes,
00:47:12
broccoli, toasted almonds and crispy panetta  with roasted cabbage with carowway and bree
00:47:18
filled pastry stars. Bree filled pastry stars.  I can't wait. And for pudding, we've got the
00:47:27
um poached pear puff pastry tartlets with hot  chocolate sauce. How amazing does that sound?
00:47:33
We've printed out the menus. I laid the table  yesterday, thank goodness. So, that's a job
00:47:38
not to worry about right now. But, I'm going to  pop the menus on everybody's place settings, um,
00:47:42
and put things like crackers, uh, steak knives out  for the beef, and just get everything ready. Nina,
00:47:48
and I believe she's bringing an assistant, will  be here in about 10 minutes. And then I've got
00:47:53
a couple of hours to get ready, which is perfect.  So, yeah, let's um, get the dining room ready. So,
00:47:59
luckily, I laid the table yesterday. Um, where  should I put the menus? Maybe underneath the
00:48:06
napkin. Yeah, that looks delightful. Perfect. It's  not the warmest in here. Might turn the radiator
00:48:14
on for a bit. Hello, my darlings. It's a few hours  later or about an hour later. I have freshened up
00:48:23
my makeup. Um, put some sparkly bits in on in  on put sparkly bits on. I put on my Nooks roll
00:48:32
on on my chest. If I'm looking a bit red, it's  cuz I got out the bath about 10 minutes ago. Bit
00:48:37
of highlight, bit of sparkle on the eyes. And  do you know what? I was not expecting the road
00:48:43
um peptide peptide lip treatment to be such a good  gloss. But every time I wear it, I'm like, "Ooh,
00:48:50
this is too good just to go to sleep in." Couldn't  be bothered to do anything with my hair. So,
00:48:55
we've done a little low bun because we are letting  the dress do the talking tonight. I haven't worn
00:49:00
this yet. Well, actually, I have. I wore this um I  was going to say I haven't worn it yet this year,
00:49:05
but I wore it to the Downtown Abbey premiere. And  I adore this dress so much. And I'm not too sure
00:49:12
what other Christmas party I could wear it to.  So, I thought, you know what? Oh, sounds like some
00:49:18
of our guests are here. I'd better go downstairs.  Or maybe Charlie's chatting with Nina and Millie.
00:49:24
The kitchen smells amazing. The whole house smells  incredible mixed with the smell of the fireplace,
00:49:30
which I love. Charlie's lit the fires.  Um, cannot wait for canopes. I've been
00:49:35
nibbling on my little sache of nuts, but can't  wait for the canopes. Millie and Nina are so
00:49:40
lovely. They've actually traveled all the way  from Ascat um in Barkshire. So, not quite as
00:49:46
local as I thought they were. I don't know why.  I thought they were literally just down the road,
00:49:50
but I'm very grateful that they've come all this  way. So, they cover obviously Surrey, Burkshire,
00:49:55
London. Um, so I'll leave Nah's details  down below because she's phenomenal and
00:50:02
um her food is exquisite and she's such a  joy to have in your home, which is really,
00:50:07
really important. Anyway, let's head downstairs.  Sorry, I turned the light off a bit prematurely.
00:50:12
Let's head downstairs and get the drinks ready  for our guest arrival, which technically could be
00:50:17
from in as little as 3 minutes um if everyone is  punctual. So, I'm excited for this evening. I'll
00:50:24
try and capture as much as possible, especially of  our food. Um, but if I don't get a chance to say
00:50:29
good night later on, then thank you for watching  today's vlog. Very, very grateful. Do give it a
00:50:34
thumbs up if you enjoyed it and I'll see you in  the next one. Cheerio. The most Christmy room in
00:50:41
the house is prepared for our guests. Charlie has  lit the candles, lit the fire. We've got the new
00:50:47
joy and peace candle from Dellsford here and it  is so good. It kind of um works quite well with
00:50:54
the smokiness from the fire. A quick fulllength  outfit. Not in the best light, but I just love
00:51:02
this dress so so much. And I've got my gold  Manolos on. Yay. It's one of these dresses that
00:51:09
has just worked very hard in my wardrobe. It's so  sparkly and I'm determined to get as much wear out
00:51:15
of it as possible. Love a dramatic cape detail.  Christmas outfits for the sausages. Cucumber with
00:51:24
fillet steak and parvy potato and mustard. Oh my  gosh. I'm going to go for one of the steaky ones.
00:51:29
That's these ones, right? Thank you so much.  Lovely. Thank you. Cuz when you're growing up,
00:51:36
chicken wings are Did you say butternut squash  and sage? Aranchchini. Oh my goodness. Oh,
00:51:43
can't wait. Thank you. I think this might be  my dream starter. Thank you so much for the
00:51:53
crackers. Crack the crackers. We're  going to go around. Jake's probably
00:51:57
got a magic trick for it. He'll  pinch. He's going to take me two.
00:52:18
That's a great
00:52:27
chuck on the fireplace. I am going to read  a joke. What do you call someone who is
00:52:32
afraid of farm Christmas? Chloe. Oh, thank you  very much. Afraid of Clausrophobic. Clausoby.
00:52:44
What do reindeers hang on their  Christmas trees? Ornaments.
00:52:50
Wait, we had this.
00:52:55
Right. Yeah, we did say this.  Yes. This is Nina. The name of
00:53:00
Nina. Should we call him Sam? Sam Sam  the starter. Um this is like gorgenola
00:53:04
um cream with some pumpkin whis in it with  some noky on top which is nice and crispy
00:53:09
and then macadamia nut crumb with a little bit  of parsley and some lemon. Wow. And for you,
00:53:14
Lizzy, obviously doesn't have the cream  underneath it, but everything else is enjoy
00:53:24
of beef with some crispy potatoes, 10%  broccoli, bree hopefully pastry star,
00:53:29
toasted almonds, pant, and you've  got a herby crusted. Delicious.
00:53:33
Fabulous. There's no dairy on your  plate, but like Thank you so much.
00:53:45
I did already say good night to you earlier,  but we did not want to go to bed without doing
00:53:52
tonight's advent calendar because you guys do  not let us get away with it if we either forget
00:53:58
or have memory card problems. So, I promise you  we won't be missing any more advent calendars.
00:54:03
We've only missed two, I think, so far. Um, but  we have had the most incredible evening. Luckily,
00:54:11
not too late. We are all granny's in team fashion  mumbler. Um, it's only about 11, just after 11
00:54:18
p.m. So, yes, we are very much ready for bed,  but our tummies are very full. Nah's cooking was
00:54:25
absolutely incredible. We had, do you know what? I  always get the most excited about the canopes. The
00:54:30
canopes were scrumptious, especially. We had these  little aranchchinis. You saw everything earlier,
00:54:35
but it was fantastic. I would definitely  recommend. And she was just so lovely as a
00:54:41
person to have in the house as well. Just such a  joy. So darling is Oh, I thought you were putting
00:54:47
pajamas on. Are you pasing Cooper PJs on? You've  got your Drakes. Drakes. Very nice. Did you enjoy
00:54:57
the dinner tonight? I feel really bad. Was it  Nina? Was it Emily? Was it Rosie? Millie? The
00:55:03
two of them were an absolute dream team. It's been  a long day. It's been a fabulous day. We're going
00:55:07
to do the advent calendar now. So, let's do it. Go  to bed. So, number 10. No. Day number 10. Where is
00:55:14
it? Um, every single time. You think they'd be  tired after all? I've said before, but this is
00:55:23
my favorite mazy kind of fruit. The sugary one.  Sugary one. As soon as it's so late, I'm going to
00:55:28
save this until tomorrow. Otherwise, do you find  if you have a sweet just before bed? Yeah. I mean,
00:55:33
I don't sleep very well. I found that eating  I used to mid not midnight snack but do you
00:55:37
remember like historically maybe honestly like  once every other week I'd have we'd have dinner
00:55:41
early and then I'd be like I'm still hungry. We'd  go across the road and and well no even here like
00:55:46
I'll have like just jam or peanut butter on toast  or something and then I'd realize I slept so badly
00:55:51
after doing that. So I've managed to refrain  from that now. Right, let's do this. Okay,
00:55:56
day number 10. Where would Hermione go for all her  research? She'd go to the library. Well, we don't
00:56:03
have a library in this house, but what room has  um the most books? The drawing room cover probably
00:56:10
has the most books. Okay. It's very smoky in the  drawing room cuz we haven't fired it all evening.
00:56:21
What's this robbing called? Robert. Rob.  Rob the Robin. We're good at these names,
00:56:28
aren't we? Lights are still on. Yay. Okay. Where  would Hermione go to all her research? Oh, what do
00:56:37
we have here? Sunday lunch at the Wild Rabbit.  Yeah, that's Sunday. Cuz we were saying we've
00:56:45
never had Sunday lunch there. No. Oh my gosh,  that's going to be amazing. And this weekend,
00:56:50
are your mom and dad coming? Not to the Sunday  lunch. Oh, okay. No, it's just the two of us.
00:56:54
Yeah. A So, we're going to go. We're going to  go that morning. It's a Daleford sponsored day.
00:56:59
Really? That morning, we're going to take  mom and dad. They want to go to Dellsford,
00:57:02
but obviously it's going to be very busy  on the Saturday when they get here. So,
00:57:05
we're going to get up at a good time on Sunday,  go to Dellsford together at like 9:00 a.m., which
00:57:11
will still be cray cray. Well, it won't be rammed.  Then go for lunch. Sorry, breakfast at the club,
00:57:18
the nest in the club. Go for a short walk, and  then they'll head back and then we're going to
00:57:23
go for Sunday lunch. It's an early one. It's 1:15.  I am so Thank you. Shout out to my friend Luke who
00:57:27
is the GM there because got him on speed dial.  Got him on speed d. Um for anyone that's also
00:57:32
coming to Cotwell is looking for a Sunday roast.  Um King and Plow. Yes, recommend that. But also,
00:57:38
oh god, let me try and remember where it is.  Heard Toddham. That would be my other one. Yes,
00:57:42
there's Oh, somebody WhatsAppapped me a pal from  the club saying apparently Hill Hy L that used to
00:57:50
be Changorth Manor. Apparently that is incredible.  Well, we'll have to try it. I wouldn't recommend
00:57:54
it until we've tried it. So, let's let's try I'm  just saying like if we need a January roast or a
00:57:59
late December, we could try it. Definitely one  more Sunday before Christmas. We could sneak
00:58:02
it in. That's true. Okay. Right. Thank you.  Let's go to bed. Can't wait. Bedtime. Well,
00:58:09
my darlings, we are positively exhausted. So, I'm  going to bid you good night. Thank you so much for
00:58:15
