00:01:35
hello
00:01:37
how you doing
00:01:40
i'm getting myself like all set up here
00:01:43
behind the scenes because
00:01:45
we're doing something
00:01:47
different
00:01:48
tonight
00:01:51
let's see here
00:01:55
oh boy
00:01:56
i've been trying to
00:01:58
do this all day and i'm just
00:02:01
not getting anywhere with it so
00:02:04
we gonna do it together and then i'm
00:02:06
gonna make it to where people can watch
00:02:08
this after the stream hopefully
00:02:11
hopefully
00:02:12
so
00:02:14
let's get my screens together
00:02:18
all right so i'm gonna teach you guys
00:02:20
how to
00:02:24
make the texture hud and
00:02:28
even a little bit of texturing tips
00:02:33
how to texture mesh that's what we're
00:02:34
doing in tonight's live stream
00:02:37
now i recorded this earlier today and i
00:02:40
was just gonna chop it up and edit it
00:02:43
but i screwed up about 50 times
00:02:46
and i was just like i [ __ ] hate
00:02:48
editing it's just really not one of my
00:02:51
favorite things
00:02:52
and i don't like editing when there's
00:02:54
like dialogue and stuff if it feels like
00:02:56
a music video or something like that
00:02:57
then maybe i'd be better at that but
00:03:00
trying to like chop up
00:03:03
words
00:03:05
and make it all sound like it's supposed
00:03:07
to make sense and [ __ ] is not my forte
00:03:11
so um i'm going to
00:03:13
[Music]
00:03:15
just
00:03:16
do this stream as if i was talking to
00:03:19
obs you know what i'm saying if you guys
00:03:21
have questions or whatever you want to
00:03:23
put inside the comment box that's fine
00:03:26
i've um
00:03:27
got the chat up on my top monitor so
00:03:30
hopefully i can pay attention to that
00:03:32
but i am going to record this live
00:03:34
stream like as if
00:03:36
i just recorded it and then edited it
00:03:38
and made you guys nice pretty video very
00:03:41
thing put together hopefully i won't be
00:03:43
up here for like four hours trying to
00:03:45
explain this
00:03:46
but um
00:03:48
if i am a well like i guess
00:03:51
um
00:03:53
hello blood saying how are you doing
00:03:55
tonight today
00:03:57
tonight today wherever you are in the
00:03:59
world
00:04:01
um let's see i'm going to be working
00:04:03
with two of my accounts here we have
00:04:06
toxic is online
00:04:08
and we also have curse hexam online but
00:04:10
look
00:04:11
cursed uh
00:04:13
curse change gingers and colors so
00:04:18
where i'm going to keep her in male form
00:04:21
just for this just because it's a pain
00:04:22
in the ass to put it back the other way
00:04:24
but any of the testing and everything
00:04:26
like that i'll do on toxic
00:04:28
so i need to go ahead and make um
00:04:33
some
00:04:34
textures for the top that went with this
00:04:38
template that i purchased so um
00:04:41
i got this template from
00:04:44
a creative scandal on the marketplace so
00:04:47
if you're a new creator and you're
00:04:48
looking for good places to buy templates
00:04:51
from you can definitely check that store
00:04:53
out they are
00:04:55
quite a bit more expensive than usual
00:04:57
templates but i can absolutely tell you
00:05:00
that the quality you're not missing the
00:05:02
quality at all there are really good
00:05:04
quality templates and she even is so
00:05:07
kind to make like pre-made
00:05:10
um textures that go
00:05:12
on top i mean it was pre-made textures
00:05:15
to go along with it if you're not really
00:05:16
that great at texturing like she gives
00:05:18
pretty good bases but i don't paint on
00:05:21
those bases i paint usually on a shadow
00:05:24
map or an ambient occlusion so um i'm
00:05:27
going to be texturing this top
00:05:30
i already made the jeans and i put them
00:05:32
up on marketplace last night so if
00:05:34
you're interested if you want those
00:05:36
jeans you can just type um let's see how
00:05:40
can we get you there you can type cursed
00:05:42
hexum's name into the marketplace and
00:05:44
then you'll see the new alter ego
00:05:47
marketplace i'm not releasing them as me
00:05:50
my and the reason for that is just
00:05:52
because
00:05:53
well they're templates and i'm tired of
00:05:55
always getting
00:05:57
shunned and told to go sit somewhere
00:06:00
else you know because i have templates
00:06:02
on my marketplace or whatever so i
00:06:04
wanted alter ego to have its own
00:06:05
marketplace so that is where it's going
00:06:08
and cursed will be the main creator of
00:06:11
the new alter ego as i continue to
00:06:13
texture templates whenever i damn well
00:06:15
feel like it so
00:06:18
let's switch back to cursed real quick
00:06:21
and get some of this [ __ ] rest out on
00:06:23
the floor
00:06:24
and i'm just gonna teach you basically
00:06:27
like how i
00:06:30
how i do this stuff now like
00:06:33
also please like disclaimer of course my
00:06:36
way is not the only way
00:06:40
creators do this stuff so totally
00:06:42
freaking different and um i'm just
00:06:45
showing you the way that i do it
00:06:48
you guys can use your imagination and
00:06:50
figure out
00:06:51
different ways to accomplish the very
00:06:53
same task
00:06:55
and you may do it completely different
00:06:57
and you may even do it with different
00:06:59
scripts but i've been promising
00:07:00
promising promising promising for years
00:07:03
that i was gonna buy the pixel
00:07:05
smart hud texture scripts and then i
00:07:07
would do a tutorial and show you guys
00:07:09
how to use that so i figured out how to
00:07:12
do it at a basic level
00:07:14
[Music]
00:07:15
if you're just wanting to simply change
00:07:18
the texture on a mesh then i figured out
00:07:22
how to make the hood just be able to do
00:07:25
that now the more fancy ones like if
00:07:27
you're wanting to temp things or
00:07:29
i don't know resize things or add
00:07:32
materials or multiple pages this is
00:07:35
still something that i'm going to have
00:07:36
to keep learning myself but i even had
00:07:39
like a couple of questions when i got
00:07:41
off stream yesterday and people are like
00:07:43
yeah when are you gonna have that video
00:07:45
out and i'm like damn
00:07:47
i literally just learned this like in
00:07:49
the past two days so um
00:07:52
here we are okay so let's go find
00:07:56
that template box real quick
00:07:59
here we go
00:08:00
okay so uh i'm gonna just explain it
00:08:03
like how i did in the video this is
00:08:05
pretty much how it looks whenever you
00:08:06
open that template box of course it's
00:08:08
named something else i've already
00:08:10
renamed it got everything sorted but
00:08:12
you're gonna have a group of mesh
00:08:14
objects uh shadow maps for the pants and
00:08:16
the tops these are actually texture
00:08:19
boxes that you can
00:08:21
open and she's already pre-made textures
00:08:23
for you so
00:08:25
i mean i guess that's like good if
00:08:27
you're
00:08:28
not
00:08:29
super skilled
00:08:31
on texturing this stuff and then you
00:08:32
also get the uv maps the only things
00:08:34
that i care about out of this box are
00:08:36
going to be
00:08:37
the shadow map for the top
00:08:40
so
00:08:41
i'm just going to take that with me here
00:08:43
save it and then i'm going to res
00:08:46
all of these objects out again
00:08:50
let me pull my website to
00:08:53
my other monitor
00:08:54
because i want to tell you about some
00:08:57
things
00:08:59
that make a creator's life
00:09:01
easier
00:09:03
slightly easier
00:09:06
um
00:09:07
a couple tools that i well one tool for
00:09:11
instance that i feel like is extremely
00:09:13
important is this one
00:09:14
the u is the creator tool i know i've
00:09:17
talked about it on this channel before
00:09:20
probably back when i was doing more
00:09:22
tutorial like videos but um what this
00:09:24
little doohickey does is basically you
00:09:26
just throw all your meshes
00:09:28
into this little
00:09:31
glowy sphere
00:09:33
and then you touch it and then it adds a
00:09:35
prim
00:09:36
your root prim to all of your meshes for
00:09:38
you and it makes you the creator of your
00:09:41
mesh basically so
00:09:43
yes you can do this
00:09:44
by hand it's annoying and it takes a
00:09:47
bunch of time this is super easy because
00:09:49
whenever you open your template box you
00:09:51
can just throw your meshes in it and
00:09:53
click it and then start doing something
00:09:55
else while it's running so i would
00:09:57
definitely recommend you pick something
00:09:59
like that up and um
00:10:01
when it comes to like scripting things
00:10:04
for like texture script it doesn't
00:10:06
matter if you created the mesh or not
00:10:09
you still have to attach a root print to
00:10:11
it because that's how the hud
00:10:12
communicates from
00:10:14
the
00:10:15
object that sticks on your screen
00:10:17
to your actual mesh so
00:10:19
even though you created your own mesh
00:10:22
if you're going to texture hud it you're
00:10:24
going to have to attach a root prim to
00:10:26
it regardless so this could be for
00:10:29
original content creators and then
00:10:32
creators that use templates in order to
00:10:34
create their content okay
00:10:37
okay so what i'm going to do is i just
00:10:40
dropped all of those
00:10:42
objects out on the floor
00:10:44
but i'm just going to be working on the
00:10:46
top so i'm just going to take
00:10:49
the top pieces back
00:10:52
into my inventory
00:10:55
just like that uh i don't even need the
00:10:57
pants because i've already done them so
00:10:59
we're just gonna delete that to keep it
00:11:01
somewhat tidy over here is this mine yes
00:11:04
it's mine okay so here is a little
00:11:07
doohickey the little you is the creator
00:11:09
tool now this thing is super easy to set
00:11:12
up it's like two steps inside the note
00:11:14
card that it comes with so um
00:11:17
it's it's not a pain in the ass to put
00:11:19
together at all as a lifesaver so i'm
00:11:22
going to take the sleeves
00:11:24
and the tube top that i just picked up
00:11:26
and i'm just going to drag and slide
00:11:28
them into the contents of my little you
00:11:30
as the creator tool
00:11:32
then i'm going to click on it and i'm
00:11:34
going to choose up
00:11:35
because i always lose [ __ ] if i choose
00:11:37
anything else so i'm just going to let
00:11:39
it send all of those pieces up in the
00:11:42
air and what it's doing is it's resin
00:11:45
them and then a min in a minute it's going to
00:11:48
right now it's applying a prim that's
00:11:50
created by cursed
00:11:52
to all of the mesh
00:11:54
pieces it's great
00:11:57
i used to do this all myself like oh the
00:12:00
pain and i can't even remember who told
00:12:02
me about this but i think i was on a
00:12:04
live stream and they were like
00:12:06
why are you attaching the prim like a
00:12:08
new but i'm like oh no
00:12:10
it's like i've just i've been doing this
00:12:13
for so long it was not phasing me
00:12:15
anymore to do it the other way
00:12:19
done okay so
00:12:22
let's do
00:12:25
this here i'm just selecting all of them
00:12:30
and we're gonna move that to the side
00:12:33
i'm gonna throw them all on the ground
00:12:35
same with the sleeves
00:12:40
we're gonna move them over here and
00:12:43
we're gonna
00:12:44
i'm just aligning them
00:12:47
to the floor so they're all aligned
00:12:49
right there okay so
00:12:51
now i'm just gonna like take them and
00:12:52
drag them out here
00:12:54
i do this for literally every single
00:12:57
every single time yes
00:13:02
okay it's not for me
00:13:04
one second
00:13:15
okay
00:13:16
so let's click on one of these so we can
00:13:19
just verify here what we've done all
00:13:20
right so see it made it to where cursed
00:13:23
is now showing as the creator
00:13:26
of these mesh objects good good so from
00:13:30
here
00:13:31
i think it's probably best to go ahead
00:13:33
and just select everything
00:13:36
we're going to change the permissions on
00:13:37
it needs to be modify no transfer and
00:13:41
since i have everything selected and i
00:13:43
just clicked both of those options now
00:13:45
every single one of them are no mod and
00:13:47
no transfer
00:13:49
um
00:13:50
next now this is something probably
00:13:53
there may be something that will
00:13:54
automate too i've heard through the
00:13:56
grapevine that there's something you can
00:13:58
buy that'll help you like name your
00:14:00
meshes automated like how i just um
00:14:04
how i just connected the prim
00:14:06
if that exists cool that's not how i do
00:14:08
it
00:14:09
uh
00:14:10
because i don't even know what that
00:14:11
thing be called so i'm just going to sit
00:14:13
here and name all this stuff real quick
00:14:17
also too it's kind of like part of the
00:14:19
ocd that gets satisfied whenever i do
00:14:22
clothing
00:14:25
uh
00:14:29
because that is what happens i have a
00:14:31
little degree of some ocd that happens
00:14:34
all right so i'm just going to name
00:14:35
these real quick
00:14:37
it is like
00:14:39
annoying i'm sorry
00:14:41
these would be the things that i could
00:14:43
like fast forward through if i was
00:14:45
really editing i really just have a hard
00:14:48
time with it i am a live stream person
00:14:50
all the way now i think it's going to be
00:14:52
really freaking hard to get me to do
00:14:56
anything the other way ever again
00:15:00
this was matreya i hope or was it freya
00:15:04
oh [ __ ] i don't know oh no no that's
00:15:05
freya okay
00:15:08
freya
00:15:12
oh [ __ ]
00:15:14
oh no i didn't look hang on we can
00:15:17
skip it
00:15:18
isis
00:15:21
and
00:15:24
hourglass i'm trying to do this quickly
00:15:27
because i don't want you all to have to
00:15:28
be here all night
00:15:30
all right so now we have everything
00:15:32
named
00:15:33
the permissions are changed
00:15:35
so all of that right there everything is
00:15:38
ready to go okay same
00:15:41
process
00:15:42
from if you were using a bosch
00:15:45
script actually
00:15:46
most of all of this is the same it's
00:15:49
just that the format in which
00:15:51
you script
00:15:53
the
00:15:55
you script is inside of an actual script
00:15:58
it's not a note card and it's not using
00:16:01
the description you're actually going to
00:16:03
put that formula inside of the script
00:16:05
and then that's it that's all you do so
00:16:07
in my opinion it's slightly easier than
00:16:10
um bosh because bosh remember you have
00:16:13
to
00:16:14
drop in a license script you have to
00:16:15
wait for that to like calculate and
00:16:17
everything like that and um
00:16:20
yeah like it's
00:16:22
uh
00:16:23
a little bit more annoying because
00:16:25
whenever you validate that everything or
00:16:27
you you validate is that the right word
00:16:29
validate
00:16:30
confirm as long as you when you confirm
00:16:32
that everything is working you'd have to
00:16:34
take the license script out and then
00:16:36
you'd have to reset everything and pray
00:16:38
that whenever you clicked on that button
00:16:40
that the hud texture was actually going
00:16:42
to work with this one i find like it's
00:16:45
much more easy because once you confirm
00:16:46
that it's working you can literally just
00:16:48
pick it up and put it inside your box
00:16:49
and set it for sale so easy peasy lemon
00:16:52
squeezy all right so now we have our
00:16:54
mesh pieces ready to go
00:16:57
i'm gonna switch back over to photoshop
00:17:02
and this is actually the little texture
00:17:05
hud that i made in the video that i was
00:17:07
recording for you guys so i'll go ahead
00:17:09
and keep using that
00:17:11
but i'm going to come back over to
00:17:15
the textures because that is one part
00:17:17
that i actually
00:17:18
want to just kind of
00:17:20
cover over again like i have probably 50
00:17:24
texturing tutorials that are older on
00:17:27
this channel but i don't know it's like
00:17:29
some people seem to catch that stuff and
00:17:31
then some people
00:17:32
they completely miss it and just think
00:17:34
that i've never shown people how to
00:17:35
texture before
00:17:37
so um okay so this is the
00:17:40
shadow map that came
00:17:42
with the templates that i purchased on
00:17:45
the marketplace
00:17:46
so
00:17:47
if you're kind of new to second life and
00:17:49
this map right here this image looks
00:17:51
kind of foreign to you let me just kind
00:17:53
of give you an overview of what
00:17:54
everything is or what has happened
00:17:56
rather
00:17:58
so the person that created this top you
00:18:03
know if you don't know anything about uv
00:18:05
mapping the best way that i can explain
00:18:07
it is if you think about
00:18:10
a cube
00:18:11
and you have to take it all apart where
00:18:13
it's like completely flat so you would
00:18:15
like you would like rip up the seams and
00:18:18
you know make it like like completely
00:18:21
open it up like as if you wanted it to
00:18:23
be a 2d view instead of seeing it as a
00:18:26
3d view so that's basically the same
00:18:28
thing that she's done with the top she's
00:18:31
broken it up into pieces
00:18:34
to where they can be laid out completely
00:18:36
flat where you're able to
00:18:39
pretty much texture with ease as far as
00:18:42
either just using color or patterns
00:18:46
um so let me just explain
00:18:48
which what each part
00:18:51
is so maybe that will make a little bit
00:18:53
more sense to somebody who might be new
00:18:55
so this little bit right here
00:18:58
is the knot
00:19:00
that's at the middle
00:19:03
section here it's just these pieces not
00:19:05
the little hang down pieces but just
00:19:07
this little knot part okay
00:19:10
so we're going to come back here and
00:19:13
then
00:19:16
these pieces right here are the sleeves
00:19:18
now
00:19:19
i'm not 100 sure because i haven't
00:19:22
checked but i'm not sure really if this
00:19:25
is the right sleeve this is the left
00:19:27
sleeve or if it's the other way around
00:19:29
but through a little bit of trial and
00:19:30
error you can definitely figure that out
00:19:33
these pieces here are going to be the
00:19:37
little rope pieces i call them rope
00:19:40
pieces like i don't know the pieces that
00:19:41
are hanging down
00:19:43
right here
00:19:44
so if you can imagine those just stretch
00:19:46
stretched out in that texture that's on
00:19:48
it being completely flat that's what
00:19:50
that is and then this part right here
00:19:54
is
00:19:55
the tube top
00:19:58
multiply just set it just like that
00:20:01
so i can probably even do you one better
00:20:03
here let's just save that
00:20:10
and let's just imply apply it to the
00:20:14
mesh in second life so we can just
00:20:16
confirm
00:20:18
my hello
00:20:21
we can just confirm what i'm saying here
00:20:26
man earlier it was letting me click it
00:20:28
and now it's not letting me click it i
00:20:30
hate usl you are a piece of [ __ ] 90. oh
00:20:34
you know why
00:20:36
just kidding hang on oh
00:20:38
don't flash you whoo i caught it just in
00:20:40
time okay
00:20:41
we need the full permission copies
00:20:45
one second here
00:20:51
nope that's not what i need
00:20:55
there we go
00:20:57
now there we go now we can click it all
00:20:59
right so i'm just going to load that
00:21:00
sample texture in real quick and it's
00:21:02
just going to show you like
00:21:04
the colors of where everything was
00:21:06
voila
00:21:08
so my guess was about right the one part
00:21:11
is the knot one part is the top two top
00:21:13
little part one parts of sleeves one
00:21:16
part is the
00:21:19
rope bits that are hanging down and
00:21:21
guess what guess who's calling me right
00:21:23
now my cats one second
00:21:39
all right
00:21:46
all right here we go
00:21:51
oh be quiet stop bitching at me so that
00:21:53
that basically is a rundown of what
00:21:56
each
00:21:57
section
00:21:58
each section is no sir no sir no sir
00:22:01
mommy does not want you up here right
00:22:02
now he was all crawling up here like he
00:22:04
was he's here for the party all right
00:22:07
i'm just going to take these off
00:22:11
so
00:22:12
we have this shadow map but it is very
00:22:14
flat has no depth to it whatsoever
00:22:18
it is um
00:22:20
i wouldn't say it's terrible quality
00:22:22
i've seen
00:22:24
worse the best thing i can say about
00:22:26
this is that it is not grainy it doesn't
00:22:29
have noise in it um that is the best
00:22:32
because if it had all those things then
00:22:34
i would want to apply like a smoothing
00:22:38
program or something to it but i'm just
00:22:40
gonna leave it as this because really i
00:22:41
think it's fine um now another
00:22:44
disclaimer
00:22:47
i don't use substance painter
00:22:49
um
00:22:51
hang on a second i am a
00:22:57
okay that's just a teleport i thought
00:22:59
like someone was lioning me
00:23:01
um i'm a photoshop baby through and
00:23:03
through i don't use substance painter or
00:23:05
any other program to help me texture so
00:23:08
i'm just going to show you like how i do
00:23:10
this and i literally do this almost
00:23:12
every single time and the reason why i
00:23:14
don't use those other programs
00:23:16
is kind of not really interest me very
00:23:19
much i mean aside from being able to do
00:23:21
like a pattern or something like i feel
00:23:23
like i would use substance painter if i
00:23:25
made like buildings
00:23:27
and if i did something that had like
00:23:29
more nature or something like that or
00:23:31
like rocks or metals or something like
00:23:33
that something more
00:23:35
i don't know if i would use it for
00:23:36
clothing because i'm personally i'm
00:23:38
really happy with where i am texturing
00:23:40
wise from my clothing
00:23:42
that um
00:23:44
i don't know i just don't personally
00:23:46
find the need for that now i can see
00:23:48
like if you're wanting to add like
00:23:49
certain highlights and stuff that you
00:23:51
wouldn't be able to do like in photoshop
00:23:52
with your mouse or whatever i totally
00:23:54
get it but that's like more advanced
00:23:56
texturing than really that i i ever do
00:23:58
for myself so i've always just been
00:24:01
happy with my caliber of texturing so i
00:24:04
haven't gone to try to like expand that
00:24:08
absolutely if you guys find that
00:24:10
substance painter is something easier
00:24:12
for you to texture in and that works for
00:24:14
you then go subscribe to it and learn it
00:24:17
because i have some scenes some really
00:24:19
awesome freaking things that come out of
00:24:20
it but
00:24:21
for my stuff i've just really never felt
00:24:24
the need to do all that advanced
00:24:27
texturing and i just try to keep it very
00:24:29
simple
00:24:32
so i think i think also that's the
00:24:34
reason why that is is because
00:24:37
i texture templates
00:24:39
and some of them can be kind of limiting
00:24:42
to what you can do with it you know
00:24:45
only people that texture templates
00:24:46
understand what i'm talking about
00:24:48
because we're not modeling it we're not
00:24:50
selecting the faces we're not grouping
00:24:53
the faces now that work has already been
00:24:55
done
00:24:56
so if i was the person that was creating
00:24:58
that stuff from scratch i probably would
00:25:00
have uv'd it different
00:25:02
you know i probably would have made it
00:25:05
to where i could give myself even more
00:25:07
freedom
00:25:08
or
00:25:09
a precise
00:25:10
type of you know freedom to it you know
00:25:12
what i'm saying like i could customize
00:25:14
it a little bit better if it was me
00:25:16
doing that stuff so you're kind of
00:25:18
limited to whatever the choices
00:25:21
the modeler
00:25:23
went with
00:25:25
and so that i guess that's kind of why i
00:25:27
never tried to expand on my texturing
00:25:30
skills but again i'm super happy with my
00:25:33
texturing skills i love how everything
00:25:34
comes out whenever i'm done finagling
00:25:37
with it
00:25:38
and i'm happy so
00:25:40
okay so from here
00:25:43
um as you can see this shadow map is
00:25:45
very flat and i want to bring some kind
00:25:48
of depth to it now i have a signature
00:25:51
texture that i use
00:25:53
all the time i've been using this
00:25:54
texture since like [ __ ] two years ago
00:25:57
with alter ego and i just regurgitate it
00:25:59
all the time i created this texture by i
00:26:02
think
00:26:04
i have said this before on other live
00:26:06
streams and i know i've said it in other
00:26:08
tutorials before i think i created it by
00:26:11
just doing like a white
00:26:13
i don't know like a 1024 by 1024
00:26:18
white texture then i added some noise to
00:26:20
it and then i did like a blur like a
00:26:23
radial blur
00:26:24
and then made it like stretched out a
00:26:26
little bit and then i added more you
00:26:28
know i just kept doing like different
00:26:29
things with it until i got it to look
00:26:31
kind of like
00:26:33
like cotton like a
00:26:35
like a hangs t-shirt is kind of the
00:26:38
the texture that i was going for
00:26:41
and um this is it right here it's i
00:26:44
always have it in my library on my
00:26:46
photoshops and this texture has come
00:26:48
with me a really freaking long way over
00:26:51
the years but i don't ever replace it
00:26:53
and i haven't even tried to make it
00:26:55
again
00:26:56
so
00:26:58
this is like my signature
00:27:00
cotton texture
00:27:02
but as you can see i overlaid it it's it
00:27:05
has
00:27:06
a linear burn on the blend mode and as
00:27:08
you can see it added a lot of like
00:27:11
texture and a little bit of depth to the
00:27:14
um shadow map it's not so flat
00:27:17
and
00:27:18
smooth it doesn't need to be smooth
00:27:20
because if you think about it the fabric
00:27:22
needs to be like a like a t-shirt type
00:27:25
of texture i would think
00:27:26
um i'm wearing a soft wash t-shirt right
00:27:29
now from old navy and so when i'm
00:27:31
looking at the texturing that's on it
00:27:34
that's kind of the same effect that i
00:27:35
would like to have on this
00:27:37
image and we're pretty much there i feel
00:27:39
like maybe
00:27:41
it can come down just a smidge
00:27:44
and
00:27:45
about right there chore like
00:27:47
you can notice it but it's not
00:27:49
overpowering
00:27:51
um something else that i like to do
00:27:53
is i kind of like to play with the
00:27:55
exposure
00:27:57
on the the shadow map
00:28:00
sometimes i like for the shadow map to
00:28:02
be darker sometimes i want it to be
00:28:04
lighter it just kind of depends on what
00:28:07
i'm doing as far as the colors um for
00:28:11
this release i guess the color range
00:28:15
let's see
00:28:18
i kind of want this to be a little bit
00:28:21
darker but i want the highlights to pop
00:28:23
out a little bit more so let's see if i
00:28:24
can duplicate what i made earlier today
00:28:27
i'm just going to go to
00:28:29
image adjustments exposure
00:28:33
this little doohickey pops up and i'm
00:28:35
just going to kind of
00:28:37
move
00:28:38
the sliders back and forth now i'm
00:28:40
paying attention to all the really dark
00:28:42
spots i don't want them to go like
00:28:44
completely black trust me it turns
00:28:47
it gets kind of muddy and then it's just
00:28:49
like
00:28:50
it's like burnt you know what i'm saying
00:28:52
it just goes all the wrong direction so
00:28:55
even if i just move these kind of
00:28:58
slightly i still want to be able to see
00:29:01
like
00:29:02
a little bit of texturing and stuff
00:29:04
happening up here i don't want the
00:29:05
shadows to get too too too too dark
00:29:10
but i still want to be able to see like
00:29:11
the highlights and stuff like that
00:29:13
that's really what i'm looking for is
00:29:14
the highlights and honestly i think
00:29:16
right there is
00:29:18
fine but i don't want it to be washed
00:29:20
out either right so
00:29:22
i'm just kind of moving these
00:29:28
honestly i'm probably i'm good with it
00:29:30
being just like that
00:29:31
that's fine
00:29:33
so not so so dark but
00:29:36
not washed out either
00:29:39
okay let's see
00:29:41
and i think what i did i know you guys
00:29:43
probably don't have this plugin but if
00:29:45
you
00:29:46
decide to text your clothing this might
00:29:48
be something you want to purchase it's
00:29:50
topaz labs adjust five now basically
00:29:53
what this program does is it's just
00:29:55
going to add
00:29:56
sharpening
00:29:58
a little bit of noise probably add some
00:30:01
highlights and all that different kind
00:30:02
of stuff all in one swing instead of me
00:30:04
having to do it manually but i usually
00:30:07
just hit it with detail light
00:30:10
and if i zoom in here a little bit like
00:30:12
you guys can barely see what it does
00:30:14
right it's not a drastic change but it
00:30:16
does tend to kind of make those wrinkles
00:30:19
pop out a little bit more
00:30:21
and
00:30:22
that's what i'm looking for so i'm going
00:30:24
to go ahead and press ok so
00:30:26
there is a pretty good base texture to
00:30:29
work with to be able to throw some
00:30:31
colors on now i've been doing this kind
00:30:35
of work for 12 years and i kind of know
00:30:37
what colors that i want to put inside my
00:30:39
package so i already have them
00:30:43
ready to go
00:30:46
because i already i already did the
00:30:48
pants
00:30:50
um let's see one two three four five six
00:30:53
seven eight nine
00:30:55
ten
00:30:56
um and then i went in
00:30:59
after i got to ten colors
00:31:01
i made like some patterns some different
00:31:03
patterns on the paint so i planned on
00:31:05
doing the same thing with this but i'm
00:31:07
only gonna drag you through five colors
00:31:09
okay we'll just keep it pretty simple um
00:31:12
so [Music]
00:31:13
i was showing in that video earlier on
00:31:16
like my tips and tricks on how to make
00:31:18
black look more realistic and like how
00:31:21
to have red pop out like this
00:31:24
having it with like highlights going on
00:31:27
and
00:31:28
the shadows are in the right place all
00:31:30
that kind of stuff and really all of
00:31:32
that all of that stuff all that is
00:31:35
is just messing with the blend modes and
00:31:38
changing the like adjustments and stuff
00:31:41
like that on each layer until you get it
00:31:44
to where it looks right in your eyes
00:31:47
right so
00:31:49
let's start off with an easier color
00:31:52
let's go with the red color on this one
00:31:54
i guess
00:31:57
oh no i don't want you in there
00:32:03
alrighty is this the right red color
00:32:12
ah no the other one yeah this is fine
00:32:15
okay
00:32:16
so
00:32:18
i mentioned before
00:32:20
no i didn't mention it in this video i'm
00:32:22
getting confused because i've already
00:32:24
recorded this once today um my favorite
00:32:27
blending options here is the blending
00:32:29
options on
00:32:31
photoshop my favorite ones to use are
00:32:33
multiply
00:32:35
linear burn
00:32:36
overlay
00:32:38
soft light and color
00:32:40
i don't really use any of the other ones
00:32:42
that are on here ever for anything um
00:32:45
so usually whenever i'm sitting here and
00:32:48
i'm getting ready to texture something i
00:32:50
kind of flip through the blending modes
00:32:52
that i like to see
00:32:54
what it's going to do to the shadow map
00:32:56
like so i can try to decide on
00:32:59
where i'm going to go with it so here we
00:33:01
go there's multiply
00:33:03
that one looks pretty good you could
00:33:05
probably release it just like that
00:33:07
um there's linear burn that would be
00:33:09
okay if you were doing something like
00:33:11
kind of gothic but
00:33:13
i think i ended up using linear burn but
00:33:15
we're going to change the opacity and
00:33:17
bring that down a little bit so it's not
00:33:19
so harsh
00:33:21
that is overlay and that looks
00:33:22
absolutely terrible unless you were
00:33:24
going for like maybe a latex if you were
00:33:26
trying to make something kind of more
00:33:28
like it's got a reflection or if it's
00:33:30
like plastic or shiny maybe that would
00:33:32
work uh soft light just completely took
00:33:35
all of the coloring away so i don't like
00:33:37
that and then color makes it look like a
00:33:40
cartoon
00:33:41
um excuse me
00:33:43
fat cat
00:33:44
excuse me fat cat can you
00:33:46
can you move every day thank you
00:33:48
um
00:33:50
sorry uh color looks absolutely horrible so
00:33:53
i'm gonna go back to
00:33:55
linear mirror
00:33:57
okay
00:33:58
let's bring this down a little bit
00:34:02
as you can see like while we're bringing
00:34:04
it down you can see that the highlights
00:34:06
and stuff the highlights and the shadows
00:34:07
are kind of looking better and better
00:34:09
and better as i bring it down
00:34:11
but i'll leave it like 60. i hate this
00:34:14
color like what is going on with this
00:34:15
color
00:34:17
it's not what i had on there originally
00:34:22
that's this is better
00:34:25
it's still very very dark though
00:34:27
so it makes me wanna
00:34:29
play with this a little bit more
00:34:32
oh i clicked the wrong thing we're going
00:34:35
to exposure
00:34:45
i mean that looks this looks better to
00:34:48
me
00:34:51
that's fine
00:34:53
it's fine toxic it's just an example it
00:34:56
doesn't have to be perfect but
00:34:58
uh
00:34:59
that's actually good you could you could
00:35:01
use that exactly where it's at even if
00:35:04
we bumped it just a little bit
00:35:06
more
00:35:08
here
00:35:10
and i'm just going to hit it again with
00:35:13
that um
00:35:15
adjustment layer
00:35:17
and that actually looks okay to me i'm
00:35:19
just going to save it because again we
00:35:21
ain't trying to really 100 go hard on
00:35:24
this [ __ ] we are
00:35:26
doing this for
00:35:28
tutorial purposes um let's go ahead and
00:35:31
let's make a black okay so
00:35:34
a black with linear burn is gonna be
00:35:36
really [ __ ] dark it's gonna be really
00:35:39
really dark it's gonna like yeah it's
00:35:41
gonna completely drowned out everything
00:35:44
so
00:35:45
this is how i combat this little problem
00:35:48
here
00:35:49
so i'm gonna make it like
00:35:51
gray like as dark or gray as i can about
00:35:54
right there
00:35:56
that's not even [ __ ] dark that's like
00:35:58
kind of light
00:36:00
but it's about to that shade right there
00:36:02
okay so i'm going to create a new layer
00:36:04
then i'm going to come back up here i'm
00:36:06
going to do apply image
00:36:08
and then i'm going to put a fill layer
00:36:10
and i'm going to choose my a black
00:36:13
and then kind of just run down this
00:36:16
let's see how does it look with overlay
00:36:18
looks
00:36:19
okay with overlay
00:36:21
but
00:36:23
i think
00:36:24
let's try this here
00:36:27
on multiply
00:36:30
so about like that and then i'm going to
00:36:33
take one of these copies of the
00:36:35
highlights down here and then move that
00:36:38
layer up and i'm going to switch it to
00:36:40
overlay so as you can see
00:36:43
the highlights in the shadows are much
00:36:45
more prominent with that move right
00:36:47
there maybe a little bit too much
00:36:49
because it almost makes this look
00:36:52
leathery like maybe not leathery but
00:36:54
like
00:36:56
like
00:36:58
pleather like it kind of looks fake
00:37:00
right with it has a little bit too much
00:37:01
of the highlights and stuff going on so
00:37:03
you can just bring the opacity down
00:37:07
so you're comfortable with the way that
00:37:09
looks about
00:37:10
there
00:37:11
looks fine to me
00:37:13
and we'll just take this one and we'll
00:37:16
throw it on there and see if it matches
00:37:18
like the jeans and stuff like that so
00:37:20
i'm just going to replace that
00:37:22
so that's that's the black is down
00:37:24
you're probably gonna have to do the
00:37:25
same thing for anything that's like a
00:37:27
dark color
00:37:29
so if we're gonna do like navy
00:37:31
or if we're gonna do like purple i think
00:37:33
i did purple on the examples that i was
00:37:35
using earlier
00:37:37
but as you can see like this is really
00:37:38
like a very good
00:37:40
it's a good shade to be like throwing
00:37:42
color on because everything looks really
00:37:44
realistic it looks perfect so
00:37:47
i'm just going to keep that vibe going
00:37:48
there with purple
00:37:50
and i what other one purple and i did
00:37:53
pink and white now oh my goodness let's
00:37:56
see let's throw a pink on here
00:37:59
pink is sometimes
00:38:01
a pain in the ass
00:38:10
it doesn't always follow my
00:38:13
multiply linear burn
00:38:16
overlay
00:38:19
process like let's try color
00:38:22
and i think that's too burnt like i
00:38:24
don't like the way that that looks
00:38:26
somebody else might but i feel like it's
00:38:28
getting too
00:38:30
burnt here in the shadows and that's
00:38:32
going to look like that on your model
00:38:34
it's not going to look cute at all it is
00:38:36
not a look so
00:38:37
um let's see
00:38:40
this is better for me again it does look
00:38:42
kind of plasticky but
00:38:44
the more we move and
00:38:47
move these
00:38:48
layers around and then kind of just
00:38:51
adjust the exposure on them we'll be
00:38:53
able to pull this out like
00:38:55
really quick um
00:38:57
[Music]
00:38:58
let's see here
00:39:09
all right
00:39:18
i think let's take this
00:39:22
what is
00:39:27
here this go
00:39:33
okay so multiply looks pretty bad
00:39:40
that one's okay but
00:39:42
not good that one's not good now the the
00:39:44
hard light
00:39:46
hard light sometimes
00:39:49
is like
00:39:51
last resort i use hard light with more
00:39:54
lighter colors like pastel colors
00:39:57
definitely white and grays
00:39:59
i think i get away with like a hard
00:40:02
light setting
00:40:03
much easier than if i was to use it with
00:40:05
like darker colors because it would just
00:40:06
probably fry the [ __ ] out of it so um
00:40:10
this looks okay to me it's just very
00:40:14
very it's very blown out i guess would
00:40:16
be the right word for it so i'm just
00:40:18
going to bring the
00:40:20
opacity down to 90
00:40:23
and then i'm gonna
00:40:26
i'm gonna play with these other layers
00:40:27
and see if i can't get that to look a
00:40:29
little bit better
00:40:37
oh that's interesting
00:40:39
but there's no there's like no
00:40:43
cotton texture on it at all hmm
00:41:04
that looks a little bit better
00:41:06
a little bit better
00:41:12
i think the pink that i had before was
00:41:14
different though than what i'm doing
00:41:16
here
00:41:20
slightly different it's just slightly
00:41:21
different shade
00:41:32
you know my eyes are playing tricks on
00:41:34
me
00:41:40
i do favor i think i favor that one
00:41:43
just look
00:41:45
well uh
00:41:47
that could be cute too
00:41:53
probably later though
00:42:03
damn if that freaking gray wasn't on
00:42:05
there
00:42:06
here i'm just let's just roll with this
00:42:08
as a
00:42:09
test texture see how that comes out if
00:42:12
it's bug then we'll change it
00:42:15
whoops where are we at here
00:42:20
definitely different than the one i had
00:42:22
on before
00:42:26
and for a white
00:42:31
white is usually kind of tricky too
00:42:52
let's see
00:42:53
i like my whites to be kind of
00:42:56
i don't know what the right word for it
00:42:58
is bright
00:43:00
like oh sometimes people when they're
00:43:02
doing white they end up like
00:43:06
it's like
00:43:07
very like it's white but it's got really
00:43:11
dark shadows and like i don't know i
00:43:13
don't really like my shadows to be that
00:43:15
dark so
00:43:16
i'm gonna bring this up a little bit to
00:43:19
like
00:43:20
there
00:43:23
and i'm gonna do let's see
00:43:28
yeah i brought the pattern up just a
00:43:30
little bit that that's starting to look
00:43:31
a little bit better to me except for i'm
00:43:33
going to lower it just a little
00:43:37
and i'm going to do the apply image
00:43:40
and then i'm going to hit it
00:43:45
with the
00:43:46
adjustment layer again and to me that
00:43:49
looks okay
00:43:51
so we'll just test run it if it's too
00:43:54
harsh then we'll come back in and just
00:43:55
kind of lighten it up
00:43:58
all right let me see where i'm at here
00:44:05
did it yeah
00:44:06
i don't know why it didn't ask me to
00:44:09
overwrite that
00:44:11
okay so let's just let go and look take
00:44:13
a look and see what these textures look
00:44:15
like on the model shall we
00:44:18
shall we
00:44:21
all right
00:44:22
so i'm just going to grab all this stuff
00:44:25
and we're going to load in
00:44:28
the textures
00:44:32
here
00:44:33
and i'm just going to kind of click
00:44:34
through them so we can see what's going
00:44:36
on
00:44:37
and turn the shadow or highlight rather
00:44:40
off
00:44:41
okay so there's the black fluff [ __ ]
00:44:44
that black might even look better than
00:44:45
the one that i made earlier today so
00:44:48
that looks good to me we can cross check
00:44:50
it with the pants though in a second
00:44:52
let's take a look at the pink
00:44:55
i don't you know what i don't like about
00:44:57
this is that but for some reason those
00:44:59
wrinkles look like
00:45:02
not realistic really right here on the
00:45:04
side so i don't know if i'll keep that
00:45:06
pink for
00:45:07
the
00:45:08
actual release or if i'll dump that but
00:45:11
the purple looks nice
00:45:13
the red is horrible i don't like that
00:45:15
color red but it's good for tutorials
00:45:17
sake and then the white i think the
00:45:19
white looks fine also so let's just go
00:45:21
ahead and roll with those colors just
00:45:23
for tutorial sake
00:45:25
and they might be different on the
00:45:28
on the actual release
00:45:29
um let's see where we go from here let's
00:45:31
make a texture hood
00:45:33
so go ahead and save this
00:45:36
aussie
00:45:39
what
00:45:41
what do you want from me
00:45:44
you oh he up he's he's attacking the mic
00:45:47
sorry
00:45:49
hey
00:45:50
i am busy right now buddy i don't want
00:45:52
to be on live all night
00:45:54
do you need a cookie or something
00:45:57
or you just want to be held
00:46:03
you're being so sweet but you gotta move
00:46:07
come on
00:46:08
come up here
00:46:14
he's such a pain in the ass i swear he
00:46:16
only well no i'm lying he does not only
00:46:18
act like this when i'm alive he does act
00:46:20
like extra [ __ ] whenever i'm alive
00:46:23
okay so let's go ahead and take this
00:46:24
stuff off so i can show you just what
00:46:26
this is it is just
00:46:28
it is just a rectangle a horizontal
00:46:31
landscape rectangle that i opened in
00:46:34
photoshop
00:46:35
um
00:46:36
i put a little
00:46:38
border around it because i didn't want
00:46:40
it to be
00:46:41
too boring went ahead and put my logo on
00:46:44
here
00:46:45
and
00:46:46
um let's
00:46:48
i'll just teach you guys how i
00:46:50
go through and create my swatches
00:46:59
all right so
00:47:01
basically all i did is i threw the
00:47:03
textures in that we just created into
00:47:05
photoshop and i overlaid them one after
00:47:07
the other so they are right on top of
00:47:10
each other lines are straight and
00:47:12
everything so i'm just gonna i just need
00:47:14
a swatch from this you know i just need
00:47:16
a color so i'm gonna use the crop tool
00:47:18
and just drag it over the back side of
00:47:21
the tube top there because it has like
00:47:24
the best just kind of a flat texture
00:47:27
and i'm going to press ok
00:47:29
so that actually cut the image so now
00:47:32
all we have left is the little swatch
00:47:34
square
00:47:35
so you can pull this out
00:47:37
i have the top one highlighted i'm going
00:47:39
to press shift and click the bottom to
00:47:41
where all four are highlighted and then
00:47:43
i'm just going to drag and drop them on
00:47:46
my texture head you can close out of
00:47:48
that because you don't need it anymore
00:47:50
so
00:47:51
here we go we're just going to line
00:47:53
these up
00:47:54
there's only five of them because we
00:47:56
just doing examples
00:48:00
and
00:48:03
i figured i should probably show all
00:48:05
this because
00:48:06
it's not really my process on how i do
00:48:09
this stuff it's not much different than
00:48:11
the tutorials that i had like
00:48:13
five years ago on this channel
00:48:16
but i still think for the sake of like
00:48:19
people might run across this video and
00:48:21
be new to second life and
00:48:23
it's a real since it's a relatively how
00:48:25
relatively new how-to video they might
00:48:28
not know how to do any of this stuff now
00:48:30
i see inside the chat i have a bunch of
00:48:32
my regulars here
00:48:33
obviously you guys are probably way
00:48:36
well advanced past this part but i'm
00:48:38
speaking more to people that kind of
00:48:40
just don't really know you know what i'm
00:48:42
saying
00:48:43
hopefully you have enough
00:48:45
photoshop skills to at least get here
00:48:47
because i know i'm kind of running
00:48:49
through this fast because
00:48:51
if i don't run through it fast and i'm
00:48:52
going to be here for two hours and
00:48:54
nobody's going to re-watch a two-hour
00:48:56
video so i am kind of trying to like
00:48:58
this is how i do it this is how i do it
00:49:00
this is how i do it this is how i do it
00:49:02
try to do it yourself you know what i'm
00:49:04
saying so um once we have the swatches
00:49:07
laid out here
00:49:09
you know your hud might have more you
00:49:10
might have 20 swatches you might have 10
00:49:12
swatches we're just gonna do five for
00:49:14
the example purpose
00:49:16
i'm gonna go ahead and throw
00:49:18
the outline that was on them whenever we
00:49:20
opened it back on and we can just save
00:49:23
this as a jpeg
00:49:25
texture head base
00:49:27
we'll override this one that was already
00:49:29
there
00:49:31
okay so i think right now we're
00:49:33
completely done with everything that has
00:49:35
to do with second life now we're gonna
00:49:36
switch back over i'm sorry we're done
00:49:39
with everything that has to do with
00:49:40
photoshop and we're gonna switch back
00:49:42
over to second life
00:49:44
so we need to go ahead and upload those
00:49:46
textures that we just made so this is
00:49:49
how you do it here i did it really fast
00:49:51
you go to build you go to upload and
00:49:53
then you click on bulk
00:49:55
and we're just going to select all the
00:49:57
textures that we just made
00:49:59
for the top and for the texture hood
00:50:03
let's get all those uploaded
00:50:10
all right here
00:50:13
so
00:50:14
all right now i just i just figured
00:50:17
something out after i was
00:50:19
recording the video from earlier
00:50:23
i made a really big boo-boo and it's
00:50:25
actually something just because i'm not
00:50:27
super familiar with this yet so i'm
00:50:29
still having to do this
00:50:31
to try to
00:50:32
identify
00:50:34
the front of the hood and it's it's cool
00:50:35
that they actually put this in here um
00:50:38
so i'm going to create a prim on the
00:50:39
ground
00:50:41
then i'm going to put this
00:50:44
pixel
00:50:45
tool
00:50:46
face identifier again these are the
00:50:48
scripts that we're using you find them
00:50:49
on the marketplace you can go to pixel
00:50:51
smart hud i've shown it a couple of
00:50:53
times over the past course of the last
00:50:55
couple days this is the texture scripts
00:50:57
that i'm using marketplace i think it's
00:51:00
like nine thousand and some change
00:51:02
linens so what we're gonna do is we're
00:51:05
dropping this cube on the ground this is
00:51:07
going to be the base of our hud
00:51:08
and we're going to throw the face
00:51:11
identifier inside now what this is going
00:51:13
to do is as you can see it made one of
00:51:16
the faces red
00:51:17
this is the front
00:51:19
of the hud
00:51:21
so whenever you attach it to your screen
00:51:23
this is going to be the face that is
00:51:25
showing on your screen
00:51:27
my dumb ass
00:51:29
went ahead and just made the hud
00:51:32
and then whenever i was done and i had
00:51:34
everything working i passed it to toxic
00:51:36
and the moment that i put the hood on
00:51:38
the screen it flipped backwards and i
00:51:40
was like what the [ __ ] so i had to go
00:51:42
back and i had to read the manual a
00:51:44
little bit so this thing will actually
00:51:46
choose the face that you're going to be
00:51:48
seeing on your screen so it avoids you
00:51:50
from a putting it on backwards
00:51:53
be it flipping backwards when your
00:51:55
customer puts it on and c
00:51:59
i had a i had a c
00:52:01
i had a c and then i and then i read
00:52:03
y'all's chat oh my god
00:52:07
uh
00:52:08
i don't know what c was but trust me
00:52:11
it's gonna avoid many many problems so
00:52:13
just go ahead and do that okay so as you
00:52:15
can see it did delete itself out but
00:52:18
this is still red i'm going to keep it
00:52:20
red for just a moment just so
00:52:22
we know
00:52:23
which face is being used so from here
00:52:27
i'm just going to throw
00:52:29
my texture that i made on the side that
00:52:31
is red
00:52:32
so now we're all good to go
00:52:34
now we can take the rest now we can take
00:52:36
the red off okay
00:52:38
uh
00:52:39
i'm going to resize this so these are
00:52:41
actually squares again
00:52:44
here we go squares
00:52:46
and
00:52:47
um
00:52:50
from here
00:52:51
i'm going to go ahead and make the
00:52:52
texture buttons
00:52:54
so again if you have followed my bosch
00:52:57
tutorials we're not really doing
00:52:58
anything new here
00:53:00
it's the same setup so you're gonna
00:53:02
create a little prim
00:53:04
and you're gonna put the pram
00:53:08
over
00:53:09
now i know there are some people out
00:53:11
there that they
00:53:13
they would make this
00:53:15
blank with no textures on it but then they
00:53:18
would save these swatches as png files
00:53:20
and then
00:53:22
they would actually put like this
00:53:24
texture right here of this swatch on
00:53:26
this outside face here to make it to
00:53:29
where it doesn't get fuzzy
00:53:30
that's perfectly fine if that's your
00:53:32
method of how you do stuff then you do
00:53:34
your thing booboo but i'm just saying
00:53:36
that this is the way that i do this
00:53:37
stuff
00:53:42
okay
00:53:43
oh and
00:53:44
okay so
00:53:45
you create your prim you resize it and
00:53:48
then in order to duplicate that prime
00:53:50
you need to press shift and then you can
00:53:52
press any of those arrows and it will
00:53:55
keep duplicating your prim okay for
00:53:57
people that don't know how to duplicate
00:54:00
all right so i'm going to select all of
00:54:02
my these are called child prims by the
00:54:05
way i believe it's not mistaken i'm
00:54:07
going to select all of these these are
00:54:09
going to be our actual buttons that your
00:54:11
customer will click to be able to change
00:54:13
the texture of the tube top
00:54:15
and um
00:54:17
from here uh let's see on this hud this
00:54:20
head is very basic this but the system
00:54:22
can do very much very much they can it
00:54:25
can do a lot more
00:54:27
intricate more advanced texture heads
00:54:30
this one that i'm showing you is very
00:54:32
basic so we don't even have a close
00:54:34
button we don't have any buttons on here
00:54:35
for social media we don't have anything
00:54:38
fancy on here no color picker all that
00:54:40
kind of [ __ ] we don't need that right
00:54:41
now we're just doing the very basic
00:54:43
stuff all we're doing is
00:54:45
setting texture for these two tops that
00:54:48
are floating above me okay so from here
00:54:50
i'm just going to press shift
00:54:52
and i'm going to select the base back
00:54:54
here which is going to be known as your
00:54:56
root prim
00:54:58
[Music]
00:54:59
and the way you know that you have your
00:55:02
root prim or you have this
00:55:04
set up correctly is that your child
00:55:06
prims are going to be highlighted with
00:55:08
this aqua blue color and then your root
00:55:10
prim is going to be highlighted yellow
00:55:12
that's how you know so if you think
00:55:14
about it too like
00:55:16
the big prim here is like the mama and
00:55:18
these are the babies you know i'm saying
00:55:20
like you know you can think about it
00:55:22
that way as well
00:55:23
um
00:55:24
same thing needs to happen with the
00:55:26
texture hood as it happened on your mesh
00:55:28
objects you need to set it to no
00:55:30
modified no transfer and then go ahead
00:55:32
and change the name
00:55:38
whoops
00:55:44
okay so now we have all that set up
00:55:47
let's go ahead and
00:55:50
i'm scared to rotate it i'm scared to
00:55:53
like rotate it and work on it the other
00:55:54
way because i'm scaring him to break the
00:55:56
[ __ ] thing all right so from here
00:55:59
i've just edits
00:56:01
linked parts and i'm going to click
00:56:02
these child prims and i'm actually going
00:56:04
to make them transparent so i can see
00:56:06
what i'm doing
00:56:09
and what i went ahead and did once i
00:56:11
figured all this out you might want to
00:56:13
do this too with it with your folder
00:56:18
i went ahead and i made subfolders i
00:56:20
made a folder that says inside of the
00:56:22
hud these are the scripts that go inside
00:56:25
of your hood here and inside of your
00:56:28
product these are the scripts that go
00:56:29
inside your actual products okay so i
00:56:31
just have them separated because this
00:56:33
starts to look very confusing if you
00:56:36
just keep you know you just keep looking
00:56:38
at this like it's hard to remember that
00:56:41
this is the root receiver because
00:56:44
there's something else down here that
00:56:45
says receiver it just gets confusing so
00:56:48
i went ahead and just made the
00:56:49
subfolders
00:56:51
same thing goes on your permissions for
00:56:53
your scripts i believe most of these are
00:56:55
sent to you full permission but you need
00:56:58
to go through and make sure that you
00:56:59
change on the properties tab they need
00:57:01
to be notif no modify no transfer for
00:57:04
the next person so all of them need to
00:57:06
be just copy
00:57:07
um
00:57:10
and i guess i don't know i kind of
00:57:13
played around with the permissions and
00:57:14
stuff like that and it kind of screwed
00:57:17
up every single time so i i i guess i
00:57:20
would just recommend to it being that no
00:57:22
modify no transfer
00:57:25
okay so from here
00:57:28
let me think for a second we need to
00:57:33
actually let's just go ahead and drag
00:57:35
and drop the scripts in and uh when i
00:57:37
did do the tutorial earlier now
00:57:40
whenever you read the manual on this
00:57:42
thing that the manual is very well
00:57:45
written i have no doubt in my mind that
00:57:47
if you buy this system and you read the
00:57:49
manual you will definitely figure it out
00:57:51
however i got stuck
00:57:53
and i read the manual and i still got
00:57:55
stuck i had to call one of my
00:57:57
girlfriends to see
00:57:59
to just to confirm how i was doing it
00:58:01
and trying to figure out why my hud
00:58:02
wasn't working so even i read the manual
00:58:05
i did it step by step on the manual and
00:58:07
i still [ __ ] up and couldn't get it to
00:58:09
work so that's why i'm thinking go ahead
00:58:12
and just show them what you've learned
00:58:14
already
00:58:15
and hopefully this will be easier for
00:58:17
somebody that might
00:58:19
find themselves in the same
00:58:21
arena that i was where i was just
00:58:24
completely confused and i was confused
00:58:26
because of the terminology here i am 12
00:58:29
years in the second life i've been using
00:58:31
bosch my entire career here
00:58:34
so
00:58:35
the terminology was a little bit
00:58:37
different when it comes to the system
00:58:39
and um
00:58:41
i just getting super mixed up like it
00:58:43
was all right in front of my face i just
00:58:45
had one thing wrong and whenever i
00:58:47
corrected it i hit the i hit the hud and
00:58:50
everything magically worked and i was
00:58:51
like i get it now i get it i get it okay
00:58:54
so what we're gonna do
00:58:56
let's go ahead and just highlight
00:58:57
transparent you do that by pressing ctrl
00:59:00
alt t
00:59:01
and as you can see everything that has
00:59:03
some kind of alpha on it has turned red
00:59:05
on the screen
00:59:06
so
00:59:07
i'm going to come in here
00:59:09
and this is just personal preference
00:59:11
because it's annoying to me where that
00:59:13
little u is the creator tool put our
00:59:17
root prims
00:59:19
i like them to be like up a little bit
00:59:21
here before we can see them you know
00:59:24
that's fine on the sleeves it's fine um
00:59:27
but i'm going to go ahead and select
00:59:29
everything here
00:59:31
and just for the sake of the tutorial
00:59:34
i'm going to go ahead and texture
00:59:37
the sleeves and the top part at the same
00:59:40
time
00:59:42
this script system can also work with
00:59:44
faces if you have like two or three
00:59:47
different faces and you want to change
00:59:48
them all in one button you can
00:59:50
absolutely do that but for this sake
00:59:52
we're just doing something very simple
00:59:54
so i'm gonna go ahead and just set it
00:59:57
set it up to where it's gonna when you
01:00:00
click the one button it's gonna texture
01:00:02
the sleeves and the top at the same time
01:00:04
okay so just very simple
01:00:07
i promise i will come back with more
01:00:09
advanced tutorials once i figure it out
01:00:12
so i have them all selected
01:00:14
so i'm going to press edit linked parts
01:00:16
and i'm going to go through and i'm
01:00:17
going to deselect all of their root
01:00:19
prims
01:00:20
the root prims
01:00:22
is the object that is storing the
01:00:24
information for the name of your product
01:00:26
so the name of the product is alter ego
01:00:29
lily tops
01:00:30
and and that's what the name of the root
01:00:33
prim like right here
01:00:35
that's where it stores that name so we
01:00:37
need to deselect that the only thing
01:00:38
that i need selected right now is the
01:00:40
mesh pieces so
01:00:42
um
01:00:44
whenever i change the name right here
01:00:46
it's only going to change the mesh
01:00:49
objects it's not going to change the
01:00:51
name of the product does that make sense
01:00:54
i hope that makes sense because that's
01:00:56
where i got confused i think for bosch
01:00:59
they
01:01:00
literally said it's object name this
01:01:02
would be the object name and then
01:01:04
whenever you select the mesh with the
01:01:06
root print that would be the product
01:01:08
name that's how i understood it for this
01:01:10
system they actually call this the
01:01:12
product name
01:01:14
and then i'm not even sure what they how
01:01:16
they
01:01:17
how they set it
01:01:18
to like name
01:01:19
the actual product like the alter ego
01:01:22
lily top i don't even know what they
01:01:23
called that but i know that this right
01:01:25
here is referred to product naming
01:01:29
for me it's object naming
01:01:31
so i'm gonna set this all to say
01:01:36
lily
01:01:37
top
01:01:38
and i believe
01:01:39
if somebody can correct me inside the
01:01:41
comments if you want to i think
01:01:43
everything has to be capitalized i did
01:01:45
try it earlier where i named my objects
01:01:50
with capitalized
01:01:53
letters and then in the script i did
01:01:55
lowercase letters and nothing worked so
01:01:57
then i went back to the script and i
01:01:58
made everything capitalized and it
01:02:00
worked so um i don't know if that's
01:02:03
if that's a me screw up thing or if
01:02:05
that's actually how everything's
01:02:06
supposed to be capital letter is on
01:02:08
everything
01:02:09
so have everything selected that's
01:02:11
lilytop i'm going to just leave it at
01:02:13
that and let go
01:02:15
and you can go ahead and check to make
01:02:16
sure that that worked correctly because
01:02:18
they still need to be linked together to
01:02:20
the root prim so you can actually have
01:02:22
your product name the only thing that
01:02:24
changed is if we edit linked parts and
01:02:26
we click the actual mesh itself now it
01:02:28
says lillytop you need that it's like a
01:02:31
it's like a keyword type of so to speak
01:02:33
you know what i'm saying so i'm going to
01:02:35
deselect the um
01:02:37
we're going to turn the highlighting
01:02:39
transparent off
01:02:41
control alt t
01:02:43
turns that off t is in tom
01:02:45
and now we can just drop our scripts
01:02:47
into all of the pieces
01:02:50
and then
01:02:52
drop it into the hood
01:02:53
now there is a step that i i mentioned
01:02:56
last night
01:03:00
i think that this is really important
01:03:02
for me not to actually show you guys
01:03:04
because it is my
01:03:06
it's my actual number like there's a
01:03:10
license code validator thingamabob
01:03:13
inside of this package it's right here
01:03:16
you drag and drop that to the ground and
01:03:18
when you click it it's going to give you
01:03:19
an individual key
01:03:21
that only belongs to you and it did say
01:03:24
inside the note card do not share the
01:03:26
number after you click it because then i
01:03:28
guess other people can either steal your
01:03:30
stuff or they can make huds like as your
01:03:32
number or whatever um and it also the
01:03:35
person that is selling the objects has
01:03:37
to be the one like doing the scripts
01:03:40
um so
01:03:42
i did try to like because i bought the
01:03:45
system on toxic too so i tried to script
01:03:48
the objects on toxic and then pass
01:03:51
everything over to cursed and it did not
01:03:53
work so whatever avatar you're selling
01:03:56
these products through need to be the
01:03:58
one owning the scripts
01:04:00
because i don't think you can pass it
01:04:01
back and forth it's just with the
01:04:03
permissions on that kind of [ __ ] the
01:04:05
security it's not going to let you do it
01:04:06
that way with bosh
01:04:08
i could have scripted everything
01:04:11
and then set everything full permission
01:04:13
and sent it to curse then curse could
01:04:15
have just reset all the permissions and
01:04:17
been able to sell it herself and not had
01:04:19
to have textured it i mean i'm not had
01:04:21
to have scripted it
01:04:22
i don't think that's the case with this
01:04:24
one and i think that's just like a layer
01:04:26
of security that they put in there
01:04:28
which i am at i'm just saying that
01:04:29
that's so far that's my experience with
01:04:32
this if anybody knows otherwise feel
01:04:34
free to add that in the comments
01:04:37
okay so whenever you click this little
01:04:39
doohickey and local it's going to give
01:04:41
you a number you should make note of
01:04:42
that number
01:04:44
don't share that number with anybody as
01:04:46
it says and i'm also not going to share
01:04:48
that number with you however
01:04:51
the scripts i'm just going to tell you
01:04:53
i'm going to slide this over in just a
01:04:55
second and i'm going to show you on a
01:04:56
note card how you set the scripts up
01:04:59
inside of the
01:05:01
inside of the script
01:05:03
and i hope that that'll at least make it
01:05:05
click for you because um
01:05:08
it's it's literally just like bosh
01:05:10
except for
01:05:11
uh it's just kind of organized different
01:05:14
so once you get your little validator
01:05:17
number make note of it make a note card
01:05:19
or something like that because even if
01:05:21
you were to press that on the ground and
01:05:22
click it again it's going to give you
01:05:23
the same number so that is definitely
01:05:25
your number belongs to you only keep it
01:05:27
secret
01:05:29
um from here though
01:05:31
uh
01:05:34
let me think about this hang on a second
01:05:38
take a look at my my just keep swimming
01:05:41
turtle
01:05:42
i'm going to
01:05:45
take my number out of this just so i can
01:05:48
show you how to do it
01:05:53
okay so remember earlier whenever okay
01:05:56
like just now we just
01:05:58
named the objects right lily top
01:06:01
so
01:06:02
the two things that you need to to
01:06:04
remember whenever you're doing these
01:06:05
scripts is you need to have your
01:06:08
uh license
01:06:10
id handy and then also take note of
01:06:13
whatever you named your objects
01:06:15
so this is the
01:06:21
oh hang on a second
01:06:24
hang on a second okay so let me actually
01:06:26
do this a different way because there is
01:06:28
a warning at the beginning of this um
01:06:30
i'm just going to show you
01:06:34
i'm just going to show you the formula
01:06:36
in which this is
01:06:40
shut up ozzy
01:06:43
and then i'll show you the formula in
01:06:45
which you set up this script
01:06:47
but then um
01:06:50
let's see here
01:06:54
sorry i'm just moving stuff around so
01:06:55
where like i can make this
01:06:57
understandable for you guys this part
01:07:01
okay so here we go
01:07:03
i'm going to drop i'm going to go ahead
01:07:06
and just drag and drop well [ __ ] me hang
01:07:08
on a second
01:07:10
this is hard whenever you're not
01:07:12
supposed to be showing anything um
01:07:14
how am i supposed to teach people if i
01:07:16
can't show them how to do something
01:07:20
one sec
01:07:24
i mean i understand why i understand why
01:07:26
i'm just trying to figure out how am i
01:07:28
gonna do this
01:07:29
and i've also lost my
01:07:32
my id number here i am telling you guys
01:07:35
to save it and i [ __ ] lost it all
01:07:37
right here we go
01:07:40
and i'm just gonna change this okay so
01:07:42
whenever you're setting this up inside
01:07:44
this script you open the config the
01:07:46
config script
01:07:48
for
01:07:50
the script the scripts that you're going
01:07:51
to put inside your hud and it'll tell
01:07:53
you this in the manual too and it also
01:07:55
tells you on the exact script that here
01:07:57
is where you paste your smart hud
01:07:59
license code okay you paste it in that
01:08:01
spot
01:08:02
um the directions are in red the actual
01:08:04
script is in black it's very [ __ ]
01:08:06
easy to follow trust me
01:08:08
the next part is that product name that
01:08:10
we just changed so you would for
01:08:13
instance i called mine lilytop that's
01:08:16
what you would paste into the product
01:08:18
name
01:08:19
and then you scroll down a little bit a
01:08:21
little bit and then it also has a
01:08:23
section where it says list textures
01:08:25
and that is what i'm going to
01:08:30
show you right now
01:08:32
the list textures part
01:08:34
this is the best this this is how i'm
01:08:36
going gonna script these objects right
01:08:39
here so
01:08:40
this number one right here pertains to
01:08:43
the number on the hud and actually let's
01:08:46
let's let's do that right now you
01:08:50
when you open up the manual for the
01:08:52
pixel smart hud stuff
01:08:54
they have like a glossary
01:08:56
of um keywords that you can type in for
01:09:00
like different buttons on your hud like
01:09:02
they have one that says url
01:09:04
and whenever the url url button is
01:09:07
clicked it will um direct you to
01:09:11
whatever website i think you put inside
01:09:13
the description same thing for like the
01:09:16
close button it's probably called closed
01:09:18
or detached something like that um and
01:09:20
then
01:09:21
there's also
01:09:23
um
01:09:25
let's see what did i use on one of them
01:09:27
i used the link tree and i think that
01:09:29
was the url one also so you would use
01:09:31
that for like social media buttons etc
01:09:34
but in this case we're just wanting to
01:09:36
texture so the keyword for that button
01:09:39
is literally going to be texture so
01:09:42
you're going to do edit linked parts i'm
01:09:44
going to click on all of the child prims
01:09:47
just like that and this is how it is
01:09:51
written in the glossary oh my god it's
01:09:53
not it's capitalized sorry
01:09:55
texture so you're going to do the open
01:09:57
and close brackets and then inside of
01:10:00
that you're going to write texture and
01:10:01
then on every single one of these
01:10:03
buttons they need to be numbered just
01:10:04
like it was with bosch you would name
01:10:06
that i think it was texture and then in
01:10:09
the description you would be like one
01:10:11
two three all the way down your hood
01:10:13
okay so we're just to name that one one
01:10:16
this one too
01:10:17
this one three
01:10:19
this one four and this one
01:10:22
five okay so it has to match that
01:10:25
sequence inside listing textures on that
01:10:28
script
01:10:29
i'm sorry i'm not going to be able to
01:10:31
show it to you because i actually didn't
01:10:32
even read the warning from yesterday but
01:10:34
if you really want to see what that part
01:10:35
looks like then i recorded a little bit
01:10:37
of it yesterday without showing you guys
01:10:40
like my
01:10:41
validator code or you know whatever so
01:10:45
this first number right here has to deal
01:10:47
with the button number
01:10:49
this right here has to deal with the
01:10:51
product name so this for me is going to
01:10:54
change to lillypants
01:10:56
i'm sorry lily top
01:10:59
this right here is the
01:11:02
texture [Music]
01:11:04
uuid and you guys know how to claim
01:11:06
those things you just right click and
01:11:07
they do copy uuid and you would go ahead
01:11:10
and paste it there and the all pertains
01:11:12
to i want it to texture all faces
01:11:15
so in this case we have five lines of
01:11:19
buttons because five lines to do because
01:11:22
we have five buttons i hope that makes
01:11:24
sense so you would literally just do
01:11:26
this inside the script except for these
01:11:29
numbers need to change
01:11:32
in the order that you're
01:11:34
doing your hud
01:11:36
just like this so that's button one two
01:11:39
three four and five
01:11:41
and then the ui uuids are going to need
01:11:43
to switch to pertaining to what they are
01:11:46
on your hud so the first one is going to
01:11:48
be pink
01:11:50
oh i haven't logged out all day i still
01:11:52
have the old textures from the first
01:11:54
time that i did this
01:11:57
okay the second one is going to be
01:11:58
purple
01:11:59
and i don't really give a [ __ ] if you
01:12:01
guys see these texture uuids i'm not
01:12:03
going to be using them for anything else
01:12:06
the third one is going to be red
01:12:10
so you're just copying and pasting i'm
01:12:12
telling you i feel so sorry for people
01:12:15
that would have like
01:12:17
[ __ ] like 60 lines of texture or
01:12:19
something you've got to be going
01:12:20
extremely [ __ ] cross-eyed oh my god
01:12:23
this s4 so or that says five okay so
01:12:26
four is going to be white
01:12:31
i've even seen one i i
01:12:34
i asked my friend if i could see how she
01:12:36
does her so i could try to put two and
01:12:38
two together or what i was missing and
01:12:40
when i looked at hers i was like jesus
01:12:42
christ how did you even not go [ __ ]
01:12:44
completely cross-eyed and screw that all
01:12:46
up
01:12:47
i would have gone
01:12:49
it would have been such a headache to
01:12:51
set up all those freaking textures in
01:12:53
that in that script
01:12:55
but something that i did find that was a
01:12:57
little bit easier is by setting it up
01:13:00
inside of a note card like this
01:13:02
that's actually pretty helpful or you
01:13:04
can always use the notepad that's on
01:13:06
your computer like windows notepad you
01:13:09
can use that as well so something else
01:13:11
that i did notice that was inside of the
01:13:13
manual and aside from watching this
01:13:16
tutorial i highly highly
01:13:19
suggest that you go and read the manual
01:13:21
so you can understand the terminology
01:13:24
that they use with the system
01:13:26
and
01:13:27
get used to it and like you know make
01:13:29
memory of it memorize it only kind of
01:13:31
stuff so whenever you're done with your
01:13:34
line of coding your very last piece
01:13:37
right here does not have to have a comma
01:13:39
behind it so
01:13:41
whatever your very last number is
01:13:42
whether it be 10 20 40 it's not supposed
01:13:45
to have a comma after it because then
01:13:48
right here i believe it's like a
01:13:50
there's a close bracket and then it's a
01:13:52
colon and that's exactly how it needs to
01:13:54
be so if you're setting it up on an
01:13:56
outside note card like this
01:13:58
just make sure that whenever you paste
01:14:02
your line of text here that you pasted
01:14:04
just perfect because i swear one little
01:14:08
beep like that one little space is gonna
01:14:10
screw that script all the way up so
01:14:14
let's just
01:14:16
i'm going to copy this
01:14:17
and i'm going to paste it into the
01:14:19
script on my other screen
01:14:20
and
01:14:21
go ahead and drop it in to make sure
01:14:25
lily pants
01:14:27
it's not legally it's lily lily top
01:14:31
okay
01:14:32
and we got the code in there okay so
01:14:35
let's paste this
01:14:37
i swear this will make much more sense
01:14:39
to you whenever you get a hold of the
01:14:41
script
01:14:43
i swear okay
01:14:45
all right we have compile successful
01:14:48
safe complete so that worked just just
01:14:51
like how i showed you right there if you
01:14:53
copy and paste and you do all that kind
01:14:54
of stuff it should work just fine
01:14:56
all right so from here
01:15:03
all right
01:15:04
i'm gonna drop
01:15:06
the scripts into the contents just like
01:15:09
so
01:15:10
everything's been changed
01:15:16
script wise
01:15:18
and then actually there is another there
01:15:20
is another these two scripts are going
01:15:22
to go inside of the mesh objects
01:15:24
themselves
01:15:25
also same thing goes with this script
01:15:27
when you open it you need to plug in
01:15:30
your
01:15:32
license code and then there's a section
01:15:34
for you to also plug in
01:15:36
your
01:15:37
object name
01:15:38
slash product name so the lily top will
01:15:41
go in there as well so let me do that
01:15:43
real quick
01:15:47
i feel like i'm making a lot more sense
01:15:49
than i did in my last video so
01:15:52
if you need to just slow down or mute me
01:15:54
you're watching this over definitely do
01:15:56
that and hopefully i haven't confused
01:15:59
you because
01:16:00
this makes much more sense in my head
01:16:02
right now than i did earlier today all
01:16:05
right so i'm basically going to drag and
01:16:07
drop all of these scripts
01:16:10
into
01:16:11
all of the mesh pieces
01:16:13
i
01:16:14
opened this script off screen i plugged
01:16:16
it in with my license and i also pasted
01:16:19
the object name of the mesh so they're
01:16:21
already ready to go
01:16:23
and we're just going to drop them in
01:16:25
just like we did with bosch nothing
01:16:27
really different there
01:16:29
except we're just dealing with scripts
01:16:31
we don't have to deal with note cards we
01:16:33
don't have to deal with the description
01:16:35
you don't have to worry about all your
01:16:36
uuids flying out there all over the
01:16:38
world like they used to so go ahead and
01:16:40
let all of that stuff run
01:16:42
and i'm just going to kind of look
01:16:44
around here and make sure that i'm not
01:16:46
about to completely embarrass myself
01:16:49
everything should be
01:16:50
in working order to where
01:16:54
we can click this and these [ __ ] will
01:16:56
all turn pink
01:16:58
ready
01:17:02
ah
01:17:05
yay okay so it does work we're verifying
01:17:08
right now that everything does work
01:17:11
so i feel like
01:17:13
even with the bosh system if you were
01:17:15
able to get yourself to this point where
01:17:18
you could actually make that stupid
01:17:20
[ __ ] hud texture something you can
01:17:23
figure out how to make the more advanced
01:17:26
huds with dealing with faces dealing
01:17:29
with groups
01:17:30
dealing with i don't know multiple
01:17:32
pieces of mesh it's it
01:17:35
really like clicks right then right when
01:17:37
you see that the textures actually
01:17:39
changed you're like oh thank [ __ ] i can
01:17:41
do this okay now and then you just
01:17:44
repetition you just do the same things
01:17:47
over and over and over again this is
01:17:48
probably the seventh
01:17:50
hud
01:17:51
i've made in two days because i've had
01:17:53
to go through this over and over and
01:17:55
like get it planted in my head and
01:17:57
forget the bosch days and all that kind
01:18:00
of stuff forget how all of that was like
01:18:02
um set up and
01:18:05
trust me like anything any of these
01:18:07
texture things are [ __ ] hard
01:18:10
sometimes they're very confusing and if
01:18:12
like you get super fumbled like i do
01:18:14
with looking at lines of text like this
01:18:17
i mean just imagine if this was even
01:18:19
longer you know just like
01:18:23
i mean yo it can just keep going you
01:18:25
know um imagine if you're sitting here
01:18:28
and you're actually editing that wall of
01:18:30
text
01:18:31
this one can that's probably gonna be
01:18:33
like
01:18:36
my downside for it you know just because
01:18:39
like i have
01:18:40
my eyeballs are okay but if i'm looking
01:18:43
at this every single time that i'm going
01:18:45
to texture a hud it's going to be very
01:18:47
it's going to be kind of difficult so
01:18:49
but that's like pretty much my only
01:18:51
complaint to it um i did notice inside
01:18:55
of
01:18:56
the manual it said that if you had like
01:19:01
guessing it's for like a more
01:19:02
complicated mesh
01:19:04
that you can put another script in there
01:19:06
to expand the texture
01:19:08
memory maybe and you could just keep
01:19:10
freaking going and the more of those
01:19:13
scripts you put in it was this one it
01:19:15
said that it would like change it would
01:19:17
go from texture expansion one two three
01:19:20
and i'm thinking god damn what kind of
01:19:22
huds are these people making off these
01:19:24
things so
01:19:25
i think you have a lot more flexibility
01:19:28
here
01:19:29
than with that bosch system and it does
01:19:32
break my heart to even say that because
01:19:34
that's been my go-to texture hud system
01:19:36
my entire time here but
01:19:39
i would like to start working with
01:19:40
materials more and that is specular and
01:19:43
normal maps and you could not play with
01:19:45
those freely on that other system but if
01:19:48
you are newer to second life and you
01:19:52
don't want to
01:19:53
put 9000 lindens into your texture hud
01:19:56
scripts then the texture hud and color
01:20:00
changer from bosch would definitely be
01:20:02
the way to go until you're ready to do
01:20:04
something that's a little bit more
01:20:06
advanced
01:20:07
i just think that this one is um much
01:20:10
easier like once you actually get it to
01:20:13
work and it clicks you're just like
01:20:15
this is [ __ ] simple bro this is
01:20:18
really not that hard and with that big
01:20:20
ass glossary of text and all the
01:20:23
different things that you can do with
01:20:24
this
01:20:25
um
01:20:27
and then the updates and the add-ons
01:20:29
like there's all different kinds of
01:20:30
things you can add on to it i think the
01:20:32
material part is an add-on
01:20:34
like there's somebody there over at
01:20:36
pixel that is still playing second life
01:20:38
and they keep updating this thing and
01:20:40
that's a good thing because that's what
01:20:42
designers need they need
01:20:44
people that are still here and going to
01:20:45
update the products
01:20:47
as we progress in the
01:20:50
mesh
01:20:51
creation
01:20:53
journey that we all decided to embark on
01:20:57
so from here honestly it's just that
01:20:59
simple you can just pick everything up
01:21:03
and you've already set all of your
01:21:05
permissions so you can literally put
01:21:08
this [ __ ] in a box and sell it there's
01:21:10
nothing you have to take out everything
01:21:12
was working except for this one thing
01:21:15
here
01:21:16
you want to make sure
01:21:17
that you attach your hud to your screen
01:21:21
don't be toxic don't be like me
01:21:25
um because i did that a thousand times i
01:21:27
didn't even [ __ ] attach the top to
01:21:29
the screen so now let's just pass this
01:21:33
to toxic so she can
01:21:36
review it and make sure that everything
01:21:38
is working even on her side
01:21:41
this is the reason why i have so many
01:21:42
alts because this is what i do just like
01:21:45
here have some [ __ ] try it on for me let
01:21:48
me know how it fits does it feel okay
01:21:51
and yeah and it's like an instant
01:21:54
it's the instant verification that no
01:21:56
[ __ ] you broke half of this [ __ ] or
01:21:58
yeah everything is right so here's the
01:22:01
hood
01:22:02
we've attached the hood i'm wearing
01:22:04
legacy sleeves legacy top
01:22:08
voila
01:22:10
uh
01:22:12
oh whoo i was like wait a second why is
01:22:15
it get paid girl
01:22:18
get in pay girl
01:22:21
okay so let's just go through real quick
01:22:24
and verify that everything worked that
01:22:26
was a little bit laggy it scared me but
01:22:28
it's fine we're fine
01:22:31
um
01:22:33
so there we go everything works so now
01:22:35
this can literally be packed up and
01:22:38
put on the marketplace and everything is
01:22:41
everything's done super cute
01:22:44
uh
01:22:45
did i say that i was gonna go through
01:22:47
here let's see
01:22:50
let's see alter ego
01:22:55
hmm
01:22:59
a pants
01:23:01
i wanted to make sure that the pants
01:23:02
were
01:23:04
oh yeah different color totally
01:23:06
different color yeah so i'll have to
01:23:07
like re
01:23:09
redo this these textures anyways because
01:23:11
they're different i want the
01:23:13
i want them to kind of be able to match
01:23:15
the pants that i made last night so um
01:23:19
looks good though hey it's working
01:23:20
that's all that matters and that's the
01:23:21
same thing that i did here but as you
01:23:23
can see i put a little link tree down
01:23:25
there so if you just edit link parts and
01:23:28
you click on it you can see that that
01:23:30
glossary keyword was url and you
01:23:32
literally just put the url right there
01:23:36
and then when you click it
01:23:37
ah ta-da you guys can go see my link
01:23:40
tree and it's pretty easy i'm assuming
01:23:42
that's how you would do social media
01:23:44
buttons if you wanted that on there
01:23:46
and
01:23:47
there's a whole slew of them so
01:23:49
i invite you guys to um
01:23:52
check this product out definitely look
01:23:54
at the reviews and stuff for it i i know
01:23:57
that there's like furniture craters i
01:24:00
definitely know that hair creators use
01:24:02
it i've seen a [ __ ] ton of
01:24:04
fashion designers use it you guys want
01:24:06
to know
01:24:07
how you know that somebody is using this
01:24:10
whenever you put these products on you
01:24:13
see all of this stuff pop up here
01:24:16
in chat like
01:24:18
all of this receiver ready
01:24:20
if you put somebody else's item on it's
01:24:22
going to do that whole line of text in
01:24:25
local and that's pretty much how you
01:24:26
know they've got this they've got these
01:24:28
scripts running in it so um
01:24:31
just something for you guys to look out
01:24:33
for
01:24:34
uh
01:24:36
i think i'm done talking i mean i don't
01:24:38
want to add to this video right now
01:24:40
because like i said
01:24:41
i just wanted to come up here and get
01:24:43
this like off my chest and like i do not
01:24:46
want to edit this damn video so i hope i
01:24:49
did that
01:24:51
not so fast or where you can't like
01:24:53
understand it but you know you're able
01:24:55
to keep up with it and i hope if you got
01:24:58
stuck just like i did maybe that would
01:25:00
clear that bit up for you
01:25:02
and of course if you have any questions
01:25:04
please leave it in the comments of this
01:25:06
video and i will answer it in the
01:25:08
comments of the video because
01:25:10
i'm going to change the name of the
01:25:12
video to be like something like pixel
01:25:14
smart head tutorial or something like
01:25:16
that and um
01:25:18
this will be like specially marked you
01:25:21
know what i was thinking about doing and
01:25:22
i might go ahead and do it if i'm doing
01:25:24
like a how-to
01:25:26
or some kind of tutorial live stream
01:25:28
i'll mark them with the stars like if
01:25:31
you look at the title of this video
01:25:32
you'll see the little stars in there so
01:25:34
maybe i'll just keep that a thing if
01:25:37
it's a tutorial live stream it's got a
01:25:39
star on it so if you're wanting to learn
01:25:41
how to go how to do that whatever is
01:25:44
being taught in that live stream that's
01:25:46
how you differentiate those from just a
01:25:48
live stream where i'm seriously sitting
01:25:49
here just complaining or
01:25:51
you know
01:25:52
just working or some speed cast or
01:25:54
something like that um but i'm gonna go
01:25:57
ahead and just end this
01:25:59
and
01:26:00
um
01:26:02
i really appreciate you guys hanging out
01:26:04
with me
01:26:05
and i
01:26:06
did not pay attention to the chat but it
01:26:08
looks like you guys are talking to each
01:26:09
other
01:26:10
so uh thank you for joining me this time
01:26:14
and i will probably pop up uh tomorrow
01:26:17
sometime because i've got more custom
01:26:19
work to do but thank you so much
01:26:21
subscribe to subscribe to my channel
01:26:24
and um if you want to see any other live
01:26:26
streams like this you guys want me to
01:26:28
teach you how to do something i'm more
01:26:29
than willing to do it if i know how to
01:26:31
do it so
01:26:32
i will let you go for now i love your
01:26:35
faces so much i'll see you tomorrow
01:26:39

01:26:40
