Diese neuen Waffen sind weit mehr als nur eine Unterstützung im Kampf, sie stehen im Mittelpunkt einer neuen „Kriegskunst“. Sie sind für 80 % der Verluste auf beiden Seiten verantwortlich. Die wichtigste Folge dieser Veränderung des Konflikts ist, dass Soldaten fast keine direkten Kämpfe mehr austragen. Sie verstecken sich, warten auf Angriffe aus der Luft und beobachten Tag und Nacht ihre Bildschirme, um jede feindliche Bewegung zu erfassen und abzuwehren. Dieser Film begleitet den 26-jährigen Piloten und Gamer Sasha in seinem Alltag, den er gemeinsam mit einem einzigen Kameraden verbringt. Ein Einblick hinter die Kulissen eines unterirdischen Bunkers, von wo aus der junge Soldat fünfzehn bis zwanzig Mal am Tag seine mit Sprengstoff und Napalm beladenen Kamikaze-Drohnen auf russische Stellungen fliegen lässt. Zwischen zwei Angriffen, die er live in der Kamera seines Headsets mitverfolgt, vertraut sich Sasha seiner Frau per Facetime an. Seinen 3-jährigen Sohn kennt er kaum. Zur Entspannung flüchtet er sich in Videospiele. Obwohl der Unterstand in vorderster Front liegt, sollte er eigentlich sicher sein. Doch schon am zweiten Tag der Dreharbeiten wird er von russischen Drohnen geortet und angegriffen. Die Soldaten müssen fliehen. Der Film zeigt eine Realität des Krieges, fernab von Pressesprechern und Militärexperten. Er erzählt und dokumentiert diesen „Wandel” des Konflikts und zeigt den Alltag eines schlecht ausgestatteten jungen Mannes, der in Plastiklatschen Krieg führt. Die brutale Realität ist für ihn wie eine virtuelle Welt. Tod und Zerstörung lässt er nicht an sich ran, zu seinem eigenen Schutz, um weiter für sein Land zu kämpfen.
