Moroz Records сказали, что у них есть небольшой бюджет на видео, порядка 6-7.000$, и предложили снять клип на одну из песен. Режиссёром был Масальский. Когда мы в первый раз встретились с ним, уже было решено, что будем снимать на песню „Отшельник“, не помню точно, наш это был выбор или Мороза. Режиссёр сказал, что съёмки пройдут всё в том же павильоне на киностудии имени Горького. Как я понимаю, особого сценария не было, но по тем временам это было прикольно: чёрно-белый клип с использованием старых фильмов ужасов типа „Носферату”. На съёмочной площадке у нас впервые появились стилисты: на нас надели какие-то костюмы (нашими были только джинсы), а сверху уже надевали вот эти непонятные рваные рубашки. Сюжет не соответствует тому, о чем поётся в песне, но тем не менее это было в духе времени и достаточно прогрессивно — снимали нас с краном, до этого такие гаджеты нами не использовались. Также мы падали назад на маты, а потом эти кадры проигрывались в обратную сторону, и получалось, что мы как будто встаём. Нас снимали через какие-то линзы, в кадре летал какой-то шар, от которого мы периодически уворачивались, наверное, это имелся в виду как раз тот хрустальный шар, о котором отшельник поёт, что у него его украли. В общем, были такие интересные эффекты, если учесть, что происходило это более 20-ти лет назад. Я считаю, что это первая работа, которая действительно похожа на настоящий клип.
