I find that I'm [music]
00:00:05
leaving.
00:00:08
Ever since David Betts emerged on the
00:00:10
scene with a series of interviews
00:00:13
screaming about civil war, I have poured
00:00:17
cold water on the idea and even wrote an
00:00:21
article about it in Chronicles magazine
00:00:23
to which he responded on Twitter calling
00:00:26
it a silly little article to which I
00:00:29
responded, "Okay, but when there's not a
00:00:31
civil war, will you come back and
00:00:33
apologize? I mean, you're the one making
00:00:35
the outrageous claim, not me. I simply
00:00:39
look at the logistics, the organization,
00:00:42
and ask, "Well, who's going to make it
00:00:44
happen?" When it turns out that there is
00:00:46
more to this story than meets the eye.
00:00:50
Uh, two buddies of mine, friend uh,
00:00:53
Scrump and Eivelyn, they did a stream
00:00:57
last week, an excellent stream, even by
00:00:59
their standards. I think it was a
00:01:01
mustwatch where they really went to town
00:01:04
uh looking at the backgrounds and the
00:01:06
detail on Bets and what he's been up to.
00:01:10
Another
00:01:12
uh interview uh took place. I've already
00:01:15
mentioned it, the Nick Griffin one. We
00:01:17
did a video on him versus Steve Laws
00:01:20
recently, but the Nick Griffin uh
00:01:22
interview, he also went into detail on
00:01:26
bets. And in this video, I'm going to
00:01:30
just share some of the info and play a
00:01:32
couple of clips to direct you uh and
00:01:35
encourage you to watch these two
00:01:36
streams. Um before we get going though,
00:01:40
pick up a course at the academic agency
00:01:42
trivia. Buy it now. When we come back,
00:01:45
we're going to talk all about the Civil
00:01:47
War SCOP.
00:01:57
>> [music]
00:02:04
>> logic
00:02:07
writing
00:02:12
rhetoric
00:02:16
driven by
00:02:21
order now from the academic agency. Here
00:02:31
we need to come on to Professor Betts
00:02:32
because this actually fits in. That's
00:02:33
true. >> So I don't know what proportion of your
00:02:35
audience will know about him.
00:02:36
>> No. So Professor Betts is a um scholar
00:02:39
in King's College London. You tell the
00:02:41
people a bit more about him.
00:02:42
>> Right. Well, he's more than just a
00:02:43
scholar. He's the head of the war and
00:02:45
something rather sociological type um
00:02:48
faculty there.
00:02:50
>> And King's College London has a special
00:02:51
relationship with the British Ministry
00:02:53
of Defense.
00:02:54
uh again with the figure of some 40 I
00:02:56
think 42 million uh contract to provide
00:03:00
all the political and sort of
00:03:02
geopolitical education for the officer
00:03:05
class for the British military
00:03:07
intelligence and for high level civil
00:03:09
servants uh and he's a key figure in
00:03:11
that now a few months ago he started
00:03:13
going on all the main right-wing
00:03:15
podcasts and so on and then being picked
00:03:17
up by the likes of Tommy saying there's
00:03:18
a civil war coming yeah
00:03:20
>> with the Muslims and the rest of us uh
00:03:22
and his analysis I'm Now whether it's
00:03:24
right or wrong we must come on to. So
00:03:26
>> professor David Betts who in the
00:03:27
department of war studies at King's
00:03:29
College London. >> Yeah.
00:03:30
>> So his position is there going to be a
00:03:33
civil war and he says that because it's
00:03:35
not just Britain but also France uh
00:03:38
Belgium, Germany, Sweden, there's so
00:03:40
many countries unstable according to him
00:03:42
with this uh Muslim others divide that
00:03:45
it's going to kick off in one of them.
00:03:46
When it does it will spread. So
00:03:48
therefore he says basically it's a a
00:03:49
racing certainty we're going to have a
00:03:50
civil war war within the next five
00:03:52
years.
00:03:53
Uh now if he'd said that and he was just
00:03:58
speaking off the top of his own head
00:04:01
that would have been very rapidly
00:04:02
stopped. Someone would had a word with
00:04:04
him. So he can't be saying this. But
00:04:06
he's continued saying it. Uh and he said
00:04:09
in more and more extreme terms over the
00:04:11
last few months. So the latest stuff
00:04:12
he's coming up with uh he's endorsing a
00:04:15
an online document which is positively
00:04:18
psychotic about what it's it's no longer
00:04:22
a a prediction of civil war. It's
00:04:25
telling uh the side which he describes
00:04:26
as pitchfork the indigenous Brits. It's
00:04:28
telling them how to fight it and
00:04:30
actually also telling them if you read
00:04:32
it carefully it's basically telling look
00:04:33
as long as you start this you're going
00:04:35
to win for this for reasons A B C and D.
00:04:37
I don't think it's right.
00:04:38
>> Crown Cresant Pitchfork. That's it. By
00:04:40
by a gentleman called Eling.
00:04:42
>> Yes. Uh it's to be found on a website,
00:04:45
the Gates of Vienna, which I uh fingered
00:04:49
back in 2012. It was very close to the
00:04:51
early stages of the Tommy Robinson
00:04:53
thing. It was created by the exact same
00:04:56
uh center of vigilant freedom, which was
00:04:59
a one of the sub things run by a man
00:05:01
called Frank Gaffne
00:05:02
>> who was a gopher for Dick Cheney. So
00:05:05
yes, it's Zionist neocon, but it's much
00:05:07
closer to the uh the American deep state
00:05:11
than say the multi-millionaire liquid
00:05:14
nicks who now back Tommy and the
00:05:16
Heritage Foundation, etc., etc. So
00:05:17
there's something quite deep going on
00:05:18
here.
00:05:19
>> I'd say in this context that, you know,
00:05:21
he is the counter in insurgent
00:05:22
propagandist and
00:05:24
>> yes, >> what is all this civil war stuff about?
00:05:26
It's about making people It's about
00:05:27
ident it's it's getting people to
00:05:29
identify themselves basically.
00:05:30
>> Yes. Insurgency. And in 2023, he
00:05:33
something changes. He pops up with quite
00:05:37
frankly one of the most ridiculous
00:05:40
social science papers I have ever seen.
00:05:43
I'm not going to read this through. I'm
00:05:45
just going to read this bit which I put
00:05:47
out earlier as the prime. You talked
00:05:49
about this before I think on the stream
00:05:50
about it
00:05:51
>> because like David Betts is David Betts
00:05:54
thinks you are [ __ ] [ __ ] and and
00:05:56
the problem is that many of you are
00:06:01
>> you know I'll put it I'll put it on
00:06:02
screen with [ __ ] yeah there it is. I
00:06:04
have attempted to assess the mood and
00:06:06
amorphous plans of inseparate
00:06:08
revolutionaries as cons through
00:06:10
consistent lurking over a decade on the
00:06:12
anonymous image boards 4chan and 8chan
00:06:15
poll a range of Twitter and telegram
00:06:18
channels and websites and surprisingly
00:06:20
usefully the user review sections of
00:06:22
controversial books on Amazon and good
00:06:24
readads. Uh
00:06:25
>> well admittedly unsistatic at least he's
00:06:28
not reading them from wlings. My
00:06:30
impressions are broadly in accord with
00:06:32
those of other researchers of extremist
00:06:34
groups, notably the Southern Poverty Law
00:06:37
Center and the International Center for
00:06:39
the Study of Radicalization,
00:06:40
>> which is just his little vertical at
00:06:42
King's [ __ ] College. [laughter]
00:06:44
>> He's self-referencing there.
00:06:46
>> Dissolved September 2025. That though,
00:06:49
that's interesting.
00:06:50
>> Folded into another little department.
00:06:52
>> I was going to see what that be
00:06:53
reformulated into. But this yeah this is
00:06:55
where David Betts you know Mary
00:06:58
Harrington everyone who platformed David
00:07:01
Betts David Betts got his civil war
00:07:04
framework from reading 4chan eight the
00:07:08
hacker known as for who is this hacker
00:07:10
known as 4chan uh 8chan uh Twitter
00:07:14
telegram basically he's re he's
00:07:16
repackaging [ __ ] posts to say there's
00:07:18
going to be a civil war stupid if you
00:07:20
read the literature what a lot of these
00:07:22
people say is that well you can't use
00:07:25
this not during wartime. What's David
00:07:27
Betts doing? He's going out there and
00:07:30
reframing disorder and the disaffected
00:07:32
opinions to do with immigration as an
00:07:35
insurgency. There is no organized
00:07:38
resistance to mass immigration in
00:07:40
Britain and that's a huge problem. But
00:07:43
David Betts would like to not only
00:07:44
portray it as organized but so organized
00:07:47
that it would cause a civil conflict.
00:07:49
The reason that David Betts says civil
00:07:52
war is that so he can portray it as an
00:07:55
insurgency because he is a
00:07:57
counterinsurgency expert and his
00:07:59
insurgency comes from [ __ ] posts on
00:08:02
4chan. That's how [ __ ] stupid you
00:08:04
are. All of you out there who are David
00:08:07
Betts, David Betts, you're wrong about
00:08:09
David. Look at this. Look at how stupid
00:08:12
you are. If you listen to David Betts,
00:08:16
look at what you got hoodwinkedked with.
00:08:18
He's either an idiot. He's a boomer
00:08:20
who's sat there reading for 4ch going,
00:08:23
"Oh, well, I think there's going to be a
00:08:24
civil war." Or he's a counterinsurgency
00:08:27
expert who's trying to get you to have a
00:08:30
controlled reaction because what is a
00:08:32
counterinsurgency
00:08:34
without an insurgency?
00:08:37
All right. So, what is the story in a
00:08:40
nutshell? Well, it turns out that David
00:08:42
Betts works in some capacity for the
00:08:46
British state and not just the British
00:08:48
state, the security state. He has the
00:08:50
same sort of like counter intelligence
00:08:54
background as Goodwin and and various
00:08:56
other uh containment agents really. And
00:09:01
Betts um has published a few papers that
00:09:06
are quite alarming. you know, he's I
00:09:10
mean, from the from what Nick Griffin
00:09:12
was saying and from what Scrump and
00:09:13
Evelyn have said, he's actually
00:09:16
detailing tactics and battle plans and
00:09:19
telling people, you know, well, if it
00:09:21
came to it, here's exactly how you'd do
00:09:24
it. Here's how you'd knock out the
00:09:25
electricity grid and all this sort of
00:09:27
stuff. I mean, if if [clears throat]
00:09:29
anybody if any normal person was posting
00:09:32
this sort of stuff, let's say they were
00:09:34
doing it on Telegram or they were doing
00:09:36
it on Twitter, they'd very quickly be
00:09:39
arrested by MI5 uh or, you know, they'd
00:09:42
have a knock on the door, they'd have
00:09:43
their equipment confiscated and they'd
00:09:45
be like, "Well, hold on a second. You're
00:09:48
probably going to get nicked for, you
00:09:49
know, encouraging terrorism or something
00:09:51
like that." But David Betts, he's doing
00:09:53
it in broad daylight and he's doing it,
00:09:56
you know, on fairly mainstream uh
00:09:58
platforms as well. He's be he's being
00:10:00
signal boosted. He's being amplified.
00:10:03
You know, everybody has this narrative
00:10:05
in their mind now. Everybody's seen him.
00:10:07
Everybody knows his name. Everybody
00:10:09
everybody uh kind of, you know, is on
00:10:12
this narrative course of saying, well,
00:10:15
yes, now there's going to be a civil
00:10:16
war, which all is extremely fishy. And
00:10:21
uh
00:10:23
what I think now is absolutely certain
00:10:27
is that there is some sort of operation
00:10:31
to try to encourage this to happen or at
00:10:34
least try to like will it into
00:10:37
existence, give it a nudge. Okay. Um,
00:10:40
what was interesting about the Griffin
00:10:43
uh interview is that he suggested that
00:10:46
it was the it wasn't necessarily
00:10:49
a Zionist plot. It wasn't like the
00:10:51
Tommy, you know, the same people that
00:10:53
Tommy works for. Wasn't necessarily the
00:10:55
Israeli government. Griffin thinks that
00:10:57
it is the American
00:11:00
uh defense, the American uh military
00:11:04
that is pushing this. And of course, if
00:11:06
it's the American military, the British
00:11:08
military is attached to it. So the
00:11:10
American defense and British defense are
00:11:12
like that according to Griffin. And he
00:11:15
thinks that this is where this is coming
00:11:17
from. So I mean it's kind of like like
00:11:20
why would any
00:11:23
military wish to foster civil conflict
00:11:27
within their own country? Kind of like
00:11:29
quite baffling if you think about it.
00:11:31
Um, but it does seem like they're
00:11:34
encouraging something like this.
00:11:36
Griffin's idea is that it is a divide
00:11:40
and conquer strategy that they don't
00:11:42
want people looking they want people
00:11:45
facing at each other rather than facing
00:11:47
at the elites. Maybe that is true. Um,
00:11:53
who knows? I mean, it could be uh uh
00:11:59
more of a kind of ins snare policy where
00:12:02
you get you kind of scop people into
00:12:05
this sort of mindset and then it makes
00:12:07
them easier to arrest down the line or
00:12:08
makes them easier to round up or to
00:12:11
censor or to target or to I mean one of
00:12:15
the things um that they used to do in uh
00:12:20
I mean a lot of people have been talking
00:12:21
about Frank Kiten and counter
00:12:24
intelligence and I think the Scrump and
00:12:26
Evil stream was uh was about that. Uh
00:12:30
they used to keep uh Kitson used to keep
00:12:33
a codeex index of all of the people. So
00:12:36
if you can imagine, you know, you're
00:12:38
you're you're setting up this counter
00:12:40
gang and you keep tabs on all of the
00:12:44
people. You know, here's Johnny and
00:12:45
here's Dave and here's uh you know, Paul
00:12:49
Paul Smith or or whatever. And you keep
00:12:52
an index of every single person and he
00:12:55
and he had it, you know, in those days
00:12:57
it was in paper. He had it like on a
00:12:59
roll on a roller deck. So there was a
00:13:01
there was a card index of every single
00:13:04
operative who was involved. They had the
00:13:07
entire network mapped. So then if they
00:13:12
wanted to damage the operation, they
00:13:14
could target. Well, look, this Paul
00:13:16
Smith, he is going off the reservation.
00:13:18
He's causing a problem. isolate Paul
00:13:21
Smith, make sure we get him in a prison
00:13:24
or something that will damage those
00:13:26
operations, then we can steer it in this
00:13:28
direction. Okay, that is the nature of
00:13:31
counterinsurgency.
00:13:33
Okay, and the the kits and doctrine. But
00:13:36
of course, in the modern era, uh there
00:13:41
it's not going to be card indexes. It's
00:13:43
going to be digital. Okay, the digital
00:13:46
mapping, the network of digit digital
00:13:49
networks. They're going to keep the kits
00:13:51
and map in that sort of way. And what
00:13:56
better way to do it than to encourage
00:13:58
everybody to go on Elon Musk's X site,
00:14:02
Twitter, so that they can track in real
00:14:04
time who talks to who, what sort of
00:14:07
plans are being made, etc. And then what
00:14:10
you've got is a perfect network map of
00:14:13
all of the different nodes. And then it
00:14:16
will be very easy to insert
00:14:19
narratives into that. And the whole
00:14:22
purpose is not to break the network
00:14:25
apart, but to use the network to further
00:14:29
whatever ends it is that the British
00:14:31
state has in mind. So let's say you've
00:14:34
got the I'm going to I've got my
00:14:36
whiteboard here. Maybe I'll uh I'll do
00:14:40
it in real time. Hold on. Let's say
00:14:44
So, let's say you've got like a network
00:14:48
of individuals on Twitter that's a
00:14:50
little bit like this. This is the
00:14:52
central hub of it. You isolate that
00:14:55
person there. You get your own guy in
00:14:58
there. You or you, I don't know, start
00:15:01
get it like Yeah. get this guy to attack
00:15:03
this guy to cause a you know, to cause a
00:15:06
conflict or something. There's all sorts
00:15:08
of ways they can disrupt it. But even
00:15:10
more uh importantly, if you can get that
00:15:15
guy there on side, now you control the
00:15:18
network. And and this is this really is
00:15:23
the purpose of doing a lot of this
00:15:25
counter insurgency stuff. It's how they
00:15:28
think. And what's interesting if you
00:15:30
watch the Scrump and Evening stream is
00:15:33
that uh Betton Co. directly are citing
00:15:37
the likes of uh Frank Kitson uh in their
00:15:41
in their writings. At some point the
00:15:43
references to Kitson go away, but it's
00:15:45
the exact same uh playbook. 77th Brigade
00:15:50
uh comes to comes to replace Kiten, but
00:15:53
it's the exact same idea. You you know
00:15:56
you you find it I mean you you find a
00:16:00
group of people incidents whatever and
00:16:03
then slowly over time you gain control
00:16:06
over those things for your own nefarious
00:16:08
nefarious end whatever they may be. And
00:16:12
one of the ways uh to bring it all out
00:16:15
into the open is to foster some sort of
00:16:18
conflict, some sort of civil conflict,
00:16:22
low inensity conflict, whatever you call
00:16:24
it. But that is, you know, you could
00:16:27
summize what the bets idea is up to. Uh,
00:16:31
you know, so this is a a slightly
00:16:33
different idea from Griffin's divide and
00:16:36
conquer uh strategy, although it is a
00:16:38
also a form of divide and conquer. If
00:16:41
you imagine
00:16:43
um that this is going on, let's say
00:16:46
these are right-wingers, okay? One of
00:16:49
the one of the groups that the British
00:16:51
state doesn't like. And then you have
00:16:54
over here, this is a Muslim network. So,
00:16:58
we've got a Muslim network over here.
00:17:00
And I talked recently in a different
00:17:02
video about the Muslim network and about
00:17:05
how
00:17:07
um you know, they keep the Muslim
00:17:09
council out and and things like that.
00:17:11
Well, you can bet your bottom dollar
00:17:14
that let's say this is some Muslim
00:17:16
network over here. you know, they didn't
00:17:19
like Nick Griffin talking to the Muslim
00:17:21
guy two years ago. That was something
00:17:23
that was mentioned. So, they don't want
00:17:25
these two groups getting together or
00:17:28
making plans or, you know, they want
00:17:30
these two groups at odds with each
00:17:33
other, but also
00:17:36
they need to also control this middle
00:17:39
Muslim guy here and get that under
00:17:42
there. So in the end you've got two
00:17:45
counter gangs fighting each other which
00:17:47
is the always the ideal for uh you know
00:17:52
the permanent security state. That's
00:17:53
their ideal state of affairs. So um yeah
00:17:57
and they'll use a variety of methods to
00:17:59
get there. So very interesting stuff. I
00:18:03
mean, really what I want to do in this
00:18:04
video is direct you to watch the
00:18:06
Scrumpant Evening Stream and to watch
00:18:08
the uh the Griffin interview because
00:18:11
there's a lot of interesting stuff uh in
00:18:13
there. A lot of interesting material. Uh
00:18:16
pick up a course at the Academic Agency.
00:18:18
