Enjoy a few laughs with a relaxing ASMR painting video as I challenge myself to paint a self portrait in acrylic on canvas. For my birthday this year I didn’t want to do anything too exciting, just have a nice meal and do a bit more painting. At first I wondered if a birthday self portrait might be a good tradition to start, but after I did this I thought maybe I should practice more often than once a year! I really don’t want to have to be overly precise in my painting, but there is something satisfying about trying to get a likeness working somewhat quickly. I also would like to keep practicing painting skintones. I find that getting a smooth look is a challenge, but one that will will be satisfying to become more practiced with in acrylic.
