Game: R-Type Delta System: Playstation Version: (US) This is a longplay of the game R-Type Delta (sometimes stylized as R-Type Δ), a shoot 'em up game developed and published by Irem for the PlayStation and released in 1998 in Japan and in 1999 in the United States. R-Type Delta is a shoot 'em up set in the year 2164, where the objective is to combat powerful space creatures of the Bydo Empire through various stages. The game offers different fighters, with diverse combinations of Force and Wave Cannon for the player to choose from. It also introduces the Dose System, which allows fighters to use their Force Cannon to absorb energy through collisions with projectiles or enemies. Each fighter has a Dose Meter, and when the Dose reaches 100%, the player can use the fighter's Delta Strike, a superweapon attack whose form depends on the fighter used. There is no speed-up item like in previous games; the player can manually increase or decrease speed as needed. It is the fourth game in the R-Type series and the first to feature 3D graphics. R-Type Delta is a game with excellent graphics, a good soundtrack, and a high level of difficulty, demanding a lot from the player.
